I've had Carlisle's saved on my bookmarks for a while and finally decided to give it a go a few weeks ago for date night. Hubby and I are early birds, so no surprise that we were the only ones there upon arrival around 4ish. We sat down and started to look over the menu. There was only one guy working and whether intentionally or not, he definitely gave off a vibe that felt like he was annoyed we had come in, which wasn't a great first impression. He never gave us napkins or utensils, so hubby got up and got some for us after the garlic bread we ordered as a starter arrived. The garlic bread was literally just toast with some garlic spread slathered on. It wasn't great, and we would not order it again. Aside from that, I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and hubby got his weird Hawaiian concoction that I will never understand the appeal of. My pepperoni pizza was amazing. Perfect amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni distribution were spot on, and the best part is that the bottom was perfectly crispy but not burned. Hubby's was good too, though he is less appreciative of the crisp factor than I am, though to be fair, he is not really much of a pizza fan to begin with and was just humoring my date night pick. After our pizza was brought to the table, other employees had started to arrive. Salty dude disappeared and a much nicer lady took over for him by bringing us drink refills and later closing out our tab. We will not be returning for date night, but the pizza was definitely good enough for a repeat visit. I will most likely just order as carryout during lunchtime instead, though. I wasn't really a fan of the vibe for dining in, particularly due to the salty guy who we seemed to annoy at the beginning, but I think the pizza was definitely worth coming back for. read more

I've been around the block when it comes to pizzas. This is probably the best pizza I've had in my 32 years of living. Everything about it was perfect which I never say lightly. Mike/ owner makes a killer pie and Christine was a lovely hostess/bartender. I had the meat lovers, and I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. read more

This is an independent store that we started going to during covid to help them through that nightmare. Have never gotten a bad pizza, they usually have to fold the edges in to get the pizza in the take out box. It's a pizza joint that reminds me of places when I was a kid, just get over yourself if you want qick go to Sabarro, if you want good pizza, Carlisle's is your stop. read more

We had the Greek salad and a house salad both were similar and fresh and pretty tasty. We also had calzones I had the pepperoni and mushroom which was excellent and the other one was spinach and mushroom. Also excellent. The food is really quite good but the place does need a little TLC. The outdoor area needs freshening up could be a great place to hang out and have pizza and a beer. I think they are Trying to hire help so that could help things in the future. Service was great. read more

We came here for the first time tonight and were truly impressed. The spinach and artichoke dip could have been slightly warmer, but the flavor and crunch of the bread was great. I have never left a poor review, but, this was the worst service I've ever encountered. We walked in and were greeted by no one. Asked for a table and was treated as an inconvenience. Got seated upstairs and was told by the waitress it was too hard for her to come upstair so she threw the menu's through the railing onto the floor. Lol. Didn't offer us a drink menu and when I ordered a bud light she just said "we don't have that". We ended up paying our tab and leaving. Genuinely disappointed we didn't get to taste the food. It's a Friday night, didn't expect to be treated like that just walking into a restaurant expecting food. I would never take that service from the restaurant I run. read more

Love the outdoor space - it is a quaint converted house to restaurant. Lots of options for a pizza place. They have gluten free options but a lot of the toppings were jar based vs fresh so that was really disappointing. read more

LOVE this place! So I'm working temporarily in the downtown Roswell area and love that this is only two doors down. My friend Leah B. came to visit me for lunch today and we had such a great experience here! The owner, Michael is so pleasant. FUN FACT: He actually named his restaurant after his daughter's middle name. We took advantage of their $8.99 lunch special. It's two large slices of pizza, salad and a soft drink. It hit the spot! I love that you can add a topping to each slice and it's made to order. You know it's a great spot when the food is fresh and made to order. Their homemade balsamic vinegrette is quite tasty too! They offer a great bloody mary or mimosa special on weekends for $15, unlimited which you can ask about and have a lovely outdoor patio area. I definitely look forward to returning again and introducing new friends to this fine restaurant. read more

Walked over to Carlisle's after a long day of work to order food to go. Other than a birthday party sitting outside, they were not remotely busy for a Saturday evening which in hindsight, should have been an immediate cue to turn around. The bartender was very quick to take my order, but I subsequently sat there and waited for an hour, watching people who ordered after me getting served their meals. I kept getting told my food would be coming out shortly and heard, "Hold on. I got you" several times after I paid my bill. Nearly 20 minutes after paying, I finally received my appetizer and cold pizza that resembles what I imagine eating cardboard feels like so not only is the service less than desirable, but the food is nothing to write home about either. Oh, and even though their menu states that they serve dessert, they haven't since the pandemic. read more

I came in a week ago with my boyfriend and his parents and had the WORST and MOST DISRESPECTFUL experience I have ever encountered at a dining establishment. For those of you who are reading this and don't want to read all the way to the end, this entire experience escalates to the owner verbally berating us and saying the following to us, "you know what, all of you can just GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. COME ON GET OUT!!" We came in and ordered some drinks, a plain cheese pizza, and a salad. After waiting for about an hour with neither the pizza or the salad, we followed up and asked about the status of the items considering two tables who came in about 30 minutes after us had both received their food (a total of three large pizzas.) We were told that the ticket was misplaced and that they would start working on it shortly. They brought out the salad and we waited another 30 and still had no pizza (a plain cheese pizza.) We followed up again and the manager of the establishment came out. He said that the pizza would be out shortly and after we brought up how we had now been waiting for a plain cheese pizza for 1.5 hours he told us "I don't understand why you can't be patient with us." As if the 1.5 hours of us waiting wasn't us being patient. At this point, we were tired and just wanted to go home so we said that we would just pay for what we had and that we didn't want the pizza anymore. At this point the manager told us that we were "making a scene." My boyfriend's dad suggested to the manager that if the restaurant was low on staff to preface that or not seat as many tables. The manager then tells us "don't tell me how to run my damn business. You know what, all of you can just GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. COME ON GET OUT!!" In my opinion causing significantly more of a scene with other guests, but I digress. I will NEVER be coming back here and want to highlight this experience to caution others. While I understand that a busy restaurant can be short staffed at times and that tickets do get misplaced, the reaction and how the situation was handled was incredibly unprofessional. At no point did the manager apologize for the ticket being misplaced and the way he verbally berated us was unacceptable and tasteless. read more

This place was the perfect lunch spot as we passed through Roswell! Michael took care of us and chatted for a while and we enjoyed the Carnivore pizza and Olive tapenade as an appetizer. Found this place on Yelp after discovering that our original lunch destination isn't open for lunch. Located in downtown Roswell, parking can be a challenge. Three of us each ordered the lunch special consisting of 2 slices of 1-topping pizza and a drink for $5.99. That is quite a deal. The slices were large and definitely filling for most adults and hungry teenagers. Not as thin as Neapolitan, not as greasy as NY pizza, and not as thick like Sicilian or Chicago style, the slices had a nice "balance" that would make most pizza lovers happy. We ate early on a Friday and the service was pretty good (I think it was the owner). If you're in the area, it's a great choice to grab some slices. read more

We love going to the spot for many reasons. Their normal and gluten-free pizza is so tasty! It is, in fact, my favorite restaurant to get gluten-free pizza. The rest of my family gets the normal, and they enjoy it as well! If you have a kid, the Jackpot dice game that they keep behind the counter has become a family favorite of ours to play while we're waiting for the pizzas to cook. Food is really bad here. It's garlic covered everything pizza. When you have to put that much garlic on pizza for flavoring you know it has no taste. I don't understand the hours either. It's only open when people feel like showing up to work. Honestly surprised it's still open on Canton street. We've been here on two occasions, waited an interminable amount of time, but were never helped! Most recently, we sat outside because it was a gorgeous day. There was another couple outside enjoying their pizza already. I went to the bar and yelled "Hello?" six different times with no response. I circled the restaurant inside and out. Still nothing! I even checked the bathroom and what I thought might be a little outdoor smoking spot for employees. So, I can't rate the food, as I've never eaten here.
