I don't really understand the negative reviews. Every time I've come here, the service has been friendly and the food has always been fresh. Occasionally there's about a five-minute wait, but they communicate that clearly upfront. Honestly, the food quality here is noticeably better than the location just up the street. First time at this location! My husband and I were traveling and made a quick stop off at Carls Jr. This location is super easy to get to since it's near the exit and entrance off the freeway. There weren't any other customers when we got here, but it was also at a really random time in a Friday. We ordered chicken tenders and fried zucchini. I was surprised by the chicken tenders - it was crispy and moist! And the zucchini was super good and crispy. Definitely the freshest, straight-from-the-fryer order that we have ever had from any Carls Jr. Staff was friendly and welcoming. And the inside of this location is super clean. They have a code on the bathroom doors, but you just have to ask a worker for the code. Inside of the bathroom here is really clean, and there's one restroom for women and one for men. read more

Attempted to use the drive-thru at this location on July 17th 2018 and there was a sign that said the drive-thru is broken. That does not explain why they could not have taken drive-thru orders from the drive-thru window. In fact it was not the drive-thru that was broken but it was the employees who are too lazy to take orders from the drive-thru. This is just another example of poor management and low quality that this location has continued to offer. I'm really surprised at this location has managed to stay in business given something ludicrous like this. I will be following up with corporate to report the fact they are not fulfilling their obligations as a franchise. There were no customers there in the morning and this definitely explains why as the employees are not interested in running the business as it is required to be run. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at how good their veggie burger is. We picked up a couple of those two days ago and I wasn't a fan of Carl's Jr. haven't been in eight years to any location but I did try the impossible burger or the beyond I don't remember which one it was. We have a business around the corner and have eaten here for years and years. Up to today It has been 'okay' Today it was absolutely awful. The quality of our food was so bad today that I came on here just to write a review which I rarely, rarely do. I got a Famous Star and a fried zucchini and a Coke. The zucchini was super hot but complete mush and no crisp to it at all. I ate a couple pieces and realized how gross and mushy it was and threw it away. My burger was the worst one I've ever had from a Carl's Jr. The tomato was thin and long past its prime and should have gone in the trash not on a burger! The rest of the burger just tasted stale and off and funky. I told my husband it was the worst I've had in a long time. Apparently, since minimum wage has gone up to $20 they are cutting corners on the quality of food. I will not be back to eat here again. OK this was horrible. Heading home late the guys wanted a bite to eat and my son seeing all the 4 for $4 commercials had us stop here. Really shabby run down restaurant, in major need of a face lift. Service was friendly but slow and the food horrendous. The spices chicken very poor quality pressed meat, brought it home for the dogs. Fries cold, pale and soggy. He went straight to work without washing his hands. The front workers were holding a conversation about the night before and when we got our food, the cheese was still cold on the burgers. This is one of the worst Carl's that I've experienced. Tables have a layer of dinginess. No napkin dispensers at the table do not help. Central dispenser empty. Fries were overcooked and brown. The tray they brought my food on had greasy smudges. The paper mat had obviously been used before as it had greasy stains and onion ring breading. I didn't have rings. How long does it take to replace a disposable tray mat? The food tasted okay, but I can only imagine the uncleanliness in the back of house. read more

Very disappointed in my visit today. Opted for drive-thru because I was on my lunch break. Simple order: 2 sausage biscuits, hash browns, & a Sprite. I may be alone, but I strongly dislike the usual egg & cheese. The person read the order back to me & it was correct on the screen. Went here this morning for the Breakfast Platter. Good price at 1.99 but portions are way too small. This is not the platter I'd get in Iowa at Hardee's for the breakfast. I don't think there is more than a tablespoon of eggs and I can count the tater tots. I realize this is probably a corporate issue but let's get it together Carl's! Service was excellent so that's good. I would gladly pay more for the platter I used to get at Hardee's with more eggs and a pile of taters. I went to this Carl's JR and was called a liar. I ordered 3 classic double cheese burgers and was given something with disgusting thousand island sauce on it. I didn't order a California classic, I ordered a classic double cheeseburger. When I went back into the restaurant to replace my food the manager told me I was wrong and I ordered the California classic even though I never said the word classic. She refused to remake my food so I had to get a refund. Never go to this Carl's JR. None of them speak any English which is cool, but when they are all talking a language about you, that you don't understand it makes you feel uncomfortable. Can't beat their 2 for $3 burgers. Best around for value and flavor....Much better than McDonalds. BUT, I have issues with a few other things during my last 2 visits: deep fried chicken strips with chicken that was way, way undercooked....And, almost every time I go in this location, the salt and pepper shakers are usually covered with grease, ketchup, kiddie boogers and God only knows what else. How ofter (or should I say infrequently) to they ever wash those? My guess is NEVER. They just dispose of them when the run out. Tonight when I went in I opted for the Memphis Burger with the chopped pork. It sounds yummy on the surface, but when I bit into mine, the pork was soooo scalding HOT that I burned both my lip and roof of my mouth. As I suspected after conferring with the server, it was due to the fact that the pork is heated for 20 seconds in a microwave until sizzling and then placed upon the luke warm burger. When you bite into it, the bottom is fine, but the top will burn the crap out of anything it touches. I challenged the counter server to heat up a batch for herself in the microwave and then pop a forkful into her mouth. She declined. NOW, I challenge the manager or the corporate bozos who decided this was the proper way to make and serve pulled pork) to try the same thing. Let them see what unsuspecting customers have to endure. WHY can't they have a nice metal bin of it at the normal 140-150 degrees that can just be spooned out and put on top of the burger of a similar temperature? Perhaps others have had similar experiences to mine, as there were NO customers in this location at 5 p.m when I entered and still NONE inside by the time I left.. This place is a little hard to get to, due to the road construction that is going on all around it. Hopefully that will wrap up soon. This location is clean although a bit outdated. It's right off the freeway (91), so it makes it a quick, convenient stop. That do have an outdoor play area for kids, but it looks a bit grimy and dirty. Probably wouldn't bring my kids to play in it. The food is good, the staff is nice, and I'm always receiving coupons in the mail which make it a little cheaper. I also use the Carl's Jr. app which earns you points every time to check in at one of their locations. You can use the points towards additional coupons they have on the app, or free food. read more

Came to the drive thru and since it's close to the freeway the clarity of the order through the speaker can be troubling. Nate, who was the young man that took my order was really helpful and considerate on this problem and kept repeating my order back to me several times to make sure I got what I ordered, which many of us who have had issues like this know how frustrating it can be, I appreciated the effort to keep me happy. I pulled to the window and my order was delivered by another employee and was ready to send me off before Nate came to the rescue and delivered my iced coffees, another situation that required dire attention, so after all this I felt the need to thank Nate for his heroism. This Carl's has literally been consistently good for the last ten years I've been going here. Literally ten years! Its always fresh, it's always good and the service is always quick. The only drawback is that you cannot order for crap with the freeway behind you at the speaker, but speak up and they always get the order right. Umm this makes me hungry for a charbroiled cheeseburger now! Watch for the coupons it makes it more reasonable, that's the only way I go...
