First off, I'd like to say- the bean and cheese burritos and hard shell tacos have always been consistently delicious and we love it! Here is where I have a problem. We got a carne asada California burrito and please take a look at the meat that was in the burrito and let me know if that seems acceptable for human consumption. It looks like it was laid out in the sun for 4 days and thrown into the burrito. For $18 (for the chips and guac combo) that is a massive waste of money. It was chewier and tougher than the most natural of beef jerkies. The "chunky guac" is also a disgrace to the dish "guacamole" they are cubed up chunks of avocado and salt. That's it. Service can be 100% better. Met with a weird attitude by cashier Elvia today at 12:54pm ticket #49. Only came in for the 11$ combo meal. Asking what comes on burrito was met with a very rude response each time. Never asked if dine in or Togo. When order came out it was for dine in. Had to ask for it to be bagged for take out which she then tossed my items in like an 18year old child was asked to take out the trash. Had to repeat 3 times that I wanted a green sauce. No eye contact... The 4th time I just yelled it... wth did I do? Haven't been to Miguel's in over 15years and will def keep it that way after this experience. Miguel's Jr sounded really good after a busy day running errands. I saw they had a drive thru, but it took me a bit to find the entrance to it. Once I did, I found the menu board up to date and nicely maintained and the speaker was clear and at a good volume. I ordered the chile relleno burrito, wet. The portion was the perfect size and it was stuffed with all kinds of tasty goodness! I've had this before, but adding the wet was the way to go and will be how I get it from now on. Yum! Came in to try out the breakfast burrito at this location. The guy at the register greeted us when we walked in. We decided to get the Sunrise breakfast burrito which has bacon, eggs, cheese, and potatoes. The inside was empty and clean. The drive thru was empty this morning. The food was ready in about 5 minutes. The burrito was not as big as we thought it would be. It had great flavor. There was barely any bacon in the burrito. It was full of eggs and the cheese was not melted inside. We love their green salsa but they only gave us red sauce so we had to ask for their green sauce instead. I'm not sure if we will order that same burrito again since it's about $8, and there was only like 1 piece of bacon in there. read more

Delicious! I've seen these all over Orange County and have yet to visit.. I was in town Corona side and I discover another one of Miguel Jr locations, and seeing a bunch of these Miguel Jr restaurants just gave off a vibe that I must try this place out! I ordered the Carne Asada tacos and a Horchata drink. The service was fast. I ordered and the food was out within minutes.! quality check I was very impressed with how delicious the tacos were. On the pricer side but definitely worth the expense. I have yet to try anything else off the menu. So I will definitely have to try some more delicious menu options. read more

I have loved Miguel's growing up in Corona. Every time we come back to California it is my first stop. However, Monday night I picked up dinner for me and my dad, we both had Chicken, and about 12 hours after eating it we were violently ill. My wife has been a vegetarian since elementary school and ordered a Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burrito with potatoes -- it even says that clearly on the receipt -- but they still gave her one with beef! I come to Miguel's Jr quite often. It's usually always very good but this is my second bad experience. So disappointed. It was about 5:30 the drive through was very busy as was inside. So I ordered my food got up to the window and paid. I still had to wait quite some time to get my food. When I ordered my food they repeated it back and it was right on the screen. But when I got home (I live right across the street) I start to eat my food and it was ice cold. How is that possible when I had to sit at the window and wait for my food to be made. Whenever I pass by, I see a line in the drive thru always. Decided that the food must be good if it's always a long line. I decided I had time to wait to satisfy my craving for nachos. I didn't even need the menu, and placed my order with their employee working the drive thru line, whom was very nice to explain how the nachos were. The wait wasn't so bad, when I was handed my bag, it was heavier than to be expected. When I got home, I opened the bag and there was 2 cups of guacamole and 2 cups of sour cream and 3 cups of hot salsa...I have never been treated so kindly without having to ask for "extras/condiments". I do have to say that the nachos are plentiful, and were very filling, I choose shredded chicken as my protein. I was not able to finish them and had plenty of leftovers. Too bad the chips would be soggy the next day. I will be back to try something different when I feel like hanging out in the drive-thru. Overall great experience! read more

We went through the drive-thru on Saturday night, Dec 20, around 7:00 PM and ordered a carne asada quesadilla, but were given a regular quesadilla instead. When we notified the employee of the mistake, she suggested that we pay for a side of carne asada to add to the incorrect quesadilla, rather than remaking the order that the restaurant got wrong. That alone was frustrating. When we declined and asked for the correct item to be made, she then asked for the quesadilla back, even though my mom had already taken a bite. This goes against basic food-safety standards and standard customer service procedures. Once food has been bitten into, it should not be taken back -- period. Despite us explaining this, she continued to insist, creating an uncomfortable situation and making it feel as though we were being accused of trying to get free food. We were not trying to keep the incorrect item; we simply wanted the order we paid for. We eventually handed it back just to move the situation along, which should never have been pushed in the first place. Only after I explained what proper customer service procedures usually are did she finally apologize. Before that, she even implied that I had never ordered carne asada -- which is completely false. Mistakes happen, especially in a drive-thru. What is unacceptable is the lack of accountability, poor training, and disregard for food-safety practices. Management seriously needs to retrain staff on how to handle incorrect orders appropriately and professionally. read more

I just love supporting our local businesses and I love the food at Miguel's. I frequent all 3 restaurants in Corona frequently. Unfortunately, this Miguel's Jr. does not measure up to the other restaurants. When going inside to order, the staff is neither friendly nor welcoming. When I ordered my food, I requested lemon for the ice tea. When I received my food, there was no lemon. I asked the employee for lemon and she completely ignored me. I waited patiently and then asked again. Not a word from the employee. Fine. No problem. Dreading a second request, I politely requested a drink carrier, for the FOUR drinks I ordered. The employee completely ignored me. I repeated my request since I got no response and was only told, in a harsh tone, "I heard you". I hate walking on eggshells in a restaurant that makes me feel like I am a bother. PLUS, it's disgusting having to park and walk around a dirty diaper to get into the dining room. If I had a bag or gloves, I would have picked it up, knowing that these employees would not appreciate the gesture. Please do better. Learn from the other restaurants. That said, it wasn't bad enough to warrant a negative review. Fast forward to today, and I wound up here again. This time, fearing the worst, I ordered something small - taquitos. Well, they were great! Smothered in guac and plenty of cheese, they were far better than what I was expecting, and again, staff was nice. In the drive through I asked for hot sauce and she threw the sauce in my bag very rudely. I purposely avoid this Miguel's because of her. I don't get the poor rating but then again my 1st experience w Miguel's was a pick up by my MIL. I thought the chile verde burrito sounded a bit heavy handed for breakfast but I'm glad my stomach trumped my brain. Fluffy eggs, gooey cheese, tenderly cooked chunks of pork in a savory chile verde sauce...was perfection. It's very flavorful without being spicy for those who can't handle the heat. Would love to know if they have optional extra chile verde sauce, but regardless...a solid 4+ stars burrito. $8 is reasonable, especially since you could humbly split this for breakfast for kids. When my receipt printed, it clearly showed that I was charged twice. She went to get her manager Veronica...this person has ZERO customer service knowledge. After I explained the mistake, she looked at me with a blank stare. When I asked how she was going to correct the problem, she tells me there is nothing to fix. One of the main things I love getting here is is the chips and cheese.. Usually the chips are fresh and there's loads of cheese. However this time around my chips were burnt and and the cheese was very minimal definitely not worth the money that I paid for it. The employees were very nice however That did not compensate for the quality of the food. It was nice that this location has a drive-through however be fair warned if you have a large vehicle thelarge vehicle the drive to lane is very tigit's very tight I drive a Toyota Camry and I was afraid I'd scrape my car on the wall if I wasn't careful not very well designed.
