Let me start off by saying I never come to Carl's Jr. This is my second time eating here ever and the first time getting actual food. I saw a Carl's Jr. ad for a new burger they were promoting and I think I subconsciously ended up wanting it. I ordered the Medium BFC Meal which comes with French Fries and a Fountain Drink (~$11). BFC stands for Big Fried Cheese. It's basically an angus thickburger with layer of big fried cheese along with lettuce, tomato, and sauce. When I tell you this is one of the best burgers I've had at a fast food establishment, I am not kidding! Who knew the fried layer of cheese would make that much of a difference. It went well with the angus beef and the fries complemented the whole meal well. The BFC Meal was super filling and satisfying. It definitely kept me full for hours, so prepare to be slumped after a meal like this. If you find yourself at Carl's Jr., give the BFC a try! You won't regret it! read more

I stopped by Carl's Jr. on Sunday, February 27, with my grandson and his girlfriend. We placed our order at the counter and took a seat. There were two groups of people in the restaurant, 3 people at the counter, and 3 people seated who were eating. We waited 40 minutes for our order! During that time multiple people came in, ordered their food, and left--no lines at the counter at all. The restaurant wasn't busy, but no one came to us to explain the wait. When our young lady finally went to the counter to ask why our order was taking so long, the clerk was really rude to her, and said "The chicken sandwich isn't ready." When we finally did get our order my hamburger was cold. This was not even close to an acceptable experience. read more

Carl's Jr. is pretty great for fast food in general, but we were particularly impressed when we stopped inside this location for a dine-in dinner after a day at Lake Camanche. We were tanned and tired and just wanted to get some food in us before we got home. I ordered two beef tacos (crunchy) with refried beans substituted for beef. It was a little confusing when I ordered because they also have crunchy tacos, which have no meat (2 for $1) - I could definitely see myself ordering this sometime, since they have the salsa bar and the pico de gallo could be substituted for the meat/beans, but I was a little too hungry to decline protein altogether so the beans were perfect! My husband had a $6 burger with criss-cross fries. I was staring at the sign for fried zucchini when our food arrived, and a couple minutes later I found a zucchini circle that had snuck into his fries!! I was super excited and it was delicious. The place was very clean - floors were clean, tables were clean, surfaces and area near the drink fountains were clean. We were probably the dirtiest things in there :) Roy was the person who took our order and he was very polite and assertive. He brought us our food as well, and offered us dipping sauces, which he also returned to our table. One of my tacos had almost no lettuce in it (the other one was perfect), but with refried beans inside this makes for a very dry taco, even with all the hot sauce I added. I went up to the counter and asked for more lettuce and paid less than $0.50 for a side of lettuce. It was a big box of it, even though I explained it was just for one taco. I ate it all since I paid for it, but felt like it should have been free. Stopped in for a quick bite. Fries were not very hot, only lukewarm. Burger was just ok. I hate all the upselling. Supersize? Cookie? Want extras on the burger. Place is noisy. Had 2 people come by my table looking for spare change. Very annoying when you are trying to eek out a bit of quiet time between calls. Tip. As tempting as those sundry sausages and hot dogs appear, rolling at a snail's pace on heated stainless-steel mini-dynamometers at the Lodi Love's Travel Stop snack bar, I can never bring myself to take the plunge and test my intestinal fartitude. So across Hwy 12 we went to the town's Flag City complex near Interstate 5 for the familiar offerings of Carl's Jr., which didn't plaster window posters of all its specially priced menu items and combos, mainly because it had none. Thus we decided to try that new boneless baby back rib burger, and a lettuce-wrap beer-battered fish filet sandwich. This is where the now-pervasive fast-food quandary recurred: Is the franchisee serving the parent company's compromised, steadily declining-quality food, or is it just not preparing it properly? The fish filet was small and thin, the tomato was skimpy, and the lettuce likely would have been too had it not been the sandwich's encasement in this case. The rib burger was OK, I guess, accented by a few limp, oily onion rings, but light on condiments--barbecue sauce on one side of the bun and nothing on the other. Since when does CJ's *not* load up its product with sauces that join forces with hot animal grease to run down your fingers, forearms and chin(s)? I had to add mustard to the naked half. Heaven help any sandwich constructed with an undressed bun. It's like, "Ya forgot somethin'!" Fondness for fast food is becoming increasingly difficult these days, either because it's an actively crumbling foodservice genre, or that a little voice is telling me I ain't got enough time left above ground to be pounding unpredictable eats no matter how desperate--or both. I ordered food at this Carl's Jr today at 4:27pm. I'm really disappointed with the food quality from this places I waited 20 minutes for a burger. I ordered my food to go. Once i got in the car and took off , I started eating my burger. All i could taste was mustard. They're was so much mustard i had to wipe everything with napkins. My boyfriend and I went here tonight and I must say I cant tell you the last time I actually got a burger that looked like the picture. Its so nice to see someone actually takes some pride in the food they serve. It's your typical Carl's Jr., probably one of the better fast food chains around! I would much rather come here then go to McDonalds or BK, this one is vright off the freeway, and very accessible. The burgers, while not as fresh as Wendys, is still pretty good and well worth the price, since they have Coke products I generally will either get a Root beer or something like that. read more

Nasty, slow, over priced... somehow I spent $20 for two drinks, two basic burgers, one order of fries and nachos... So they asked what sauces I wanted, yet they didn't give them to me. There was no one in line behind me, and I had to pull to the front! They left me there for over 5 minutes! I like Carl's Jr. but definitely not this one. I live close by and go here often and have had a couple of bad experiences. The first was when I ordered a double western burger and the bacon was nearly raw. The female night manager is also very rude, and lacks knowledge of appropriate customer service. When ordering, she cuts me off mid-sentence. Furthermore, I have been here twice when they claim they no longer serve green burrito, when I have ordered green burrito before during their supposed "no longer serving green burrito hours." I tried ordering chicken strips, and she claimed they couldn't make those either, however, my order of fries ended up having a large chicken strip mixed in with it. Overall, this restaurant and its management are not of good quality; the only reason I give it more than one star is because I know most Carl's Jr.'s are very good. By the way, I work at a family-owned Italian restaurant, so my review here is not coming from someone that lacks the knowledge of the restaurant and food service industry. read more

The new A-1 double cheeseburger is small. It's as small as a kids burger. Not worth the price. If I knew it was that small I would have ordered something else. Also their charbroiled chicken club used to be better. It tasted like it was frozen, but burnt. I'm surprised I didn't get sick from it. read more

Came here as part of an impromptu road trip recently. Staff was friendly. Food was hot and fresh. Service was quick. The bathrooms were even clean! All in all one of our better experiences on this road trip of 24 hour round trip from Sac Valley to the OC, AZ and back to Sac Valley. read more
