    BFC Combo Meal (~$11).
    Aya E.

Let me start off by saying I never come to Carl's Jr. This is my second time eating here ever and the first time getting actual food. I saw a Carl's Jr. ad for a new burger they were promoting and I think I subconsciously ended up wanting it. I ordered the Medium BFC Meal which comes with French Fries and a Fountain Drink (~$11). BFC stands for Big Fried Cheese. It's basically an angus thickburger with layer of big fried cheese along with lettuce, tomato, and sauce. When I tell you this is one of the best burgers I've had at a fast food establishment, I am not kidding! Who knew the fried layer of cheese would make that much of a difference. It went well with the angus beef and the fries complemented the whole meal well. The BFC Meal was super filling and satisfying. It definitely kept me full for hours, so prepare to be slumped after a meal like this. If you find yourself at Carl's Jr., give the BFC a try! You won't regret it!

This burger is way too good for no reason

This Carl's Jr. is fresh !!!!! I've came twice late at night and I can't believe how fresh it is.

Just got a burger here and it came to me cold! So instead of giving me a fresh burger they just offered to heat it up in a microwave - this use to be a good Carl's Jrbut quality here has gone totally down hill in the last few months - have been here many times but will not be back anymore

While we were here they (employees) seemed to be continually cleaning. The food is typical. Carl's Jr.'s I got a number five lettuce wrap it was OK. Fries are served warm and crunchy..Extra star for that. Location is located right off of Highway numerous gas stations about. great for a quick Fill up and belly too.

05-22-2012 Had a 2 for $6.00 Coupon on a $6 Original Burger... even though I knew a Carl's Jr Steakhouse would have been a lot better... Original $6 Burger (** 1/2 2 for $6.00, regularly $4.49ea) Charbroiled 100% Black Angus Beef Patty, 2 Slices Melted American Cheese, Lettuce, 2 Slices Tomato, Red Onions, (Sweet) Pickles, Mustard, (Special) Mayonnaise and Ketchup on a Toasted Sesame Seed Bun. Two problems with this Burger.... - After the first bite... things started to fall out from the Burger and the Bun started to fall apart. And it just got worse and messier after that... Do you know how hard it is to wash the smell of Hamburger from your hands? It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of the smell in one day. It takes a couple of days of washing and scrubbing... - Sweet Pickles ... in a Burger?!? In Hot Dogs, yes... but Burgers, No. Liked the Char-Broiled Pattie, though... Large Fries (*** 1/2 $2.39 x 2) Price increase of $0.10 This time, the Fries were the natural cut, thin-cut, crispy exterior kind... Hot Water (**** Free) Needed something Hot because of the COLD morning. Asked the counter person if there was anything Hot besides Coffee. She said there was no Ice Tea, but she could give me Hot Water. Fine. Nice lady... who I think was the shift manager. ( http://s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/r1pS8pJdqU149pgvOccm9g/l.jpg ) ( http://s3-media4.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/bQVIw9UnvIcP1EmHq7L1Gw/l.jpg ) If I didn't have any coupons, I would order a Steakhouse Burger every time at Carl's Jr... but the coupons DID save me some $$$.

Carl's Jr. is pretty great for fast food in general, but we were particularly impressed when we stopped inside this location for a dine-in dinner after a day at Lake Camanche. We were tanned and tired and just wanted to get some food in us before we got home. I ordered two beef tacos (crunchy) with refried beans substituted for beef. It was a little confusing when I ordered because they also have crunchy tacos, which have no meat (2 for $1) - I could definitely see myself ordering this sometime, since they have the salsa bar and the pico de gallo could be substituted for the meat/beans, but I was a little too hungry to decline protein altogether so the beans were perfect! My husband had a $6 burger with criss-cross fries. I was staring at the sign for fried zucchini when our food arrived, and a couple minutes later I found a zucchini circle that had snuck into his fries!! I was super excited and it was delicious. The place was very clean - floors were clean, tables were clean, surfaces and area near the drink fountains were clean. We were probably the dirtiest things in there :) Roy was the person who took our order and he was very polite and assertive. He brought us our food as well, and offered us dipping sauces, which he also returned to our table. One of my tacos had almost no lettuce in it (the other one was perfect), but with refried beans inside this makes for a very dry taco, even with all the hot sauce I added. I went up to the counter and asked for more lettuce and paid less than $0.50 for a side of lettuce. It was a big box of it, even though I explained it was just for one taco. I ate it all since I paid for it, but felt like it should have been free. I love when Carl's Jr. locations have Green Burrito inside, and it's especially nice when you get good service and the place is clean. Well done, Lodi!

Trusting in Yelp reviews, we headed to Lodi's highly rated and popular Avenue Grill. Service was wonderful. Our server (blond lady with glasses) was friendly and chipper and had a very nice demeanor. She was on top of everything. Food came out quickly too. Seemed like the rest of the customers there were local regulars, who knew one another. Cozy, family-friendly vibez. I got the chicken fried steak with crispy potatoes. Good country gravy, seasoned potatoes, and chicken fried steak was delicious. Big portion, enough for leftovers. My husband got the steak & eggs. The steak was a little too dry and under seasoned to my husband's liking. He always orders medium-well, but it was more well. I did agree that it didn't have much flavor. But I had it the next day for leftovers and thought it was good mixed with my gravy and potatoes. So if you're looking for a good traditional breakfast diner, this is probably your spot. I don't think it was worth a drive from Sac, just because there are a lot of similar restaurants, but if you are already in the Lodi area, definitely worth a visit.

The banana chocolate chip waffles were very good. It is hard to mess up waffles, especially when you can never go wrong with banana and chocolate, and it was exactly what I wanted. I also ordered a side of sausage and you get 3 for $5. The biscuit (though not the traditional shape) was very tasty. Not dry at all and tasted just how you would want a biscuit to taste like. I probably wouldn't order the gravy again. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by to try them out, but I probably wouldn't come back for brunch. Maybe for dinner? Stay tuned!

Bad: Their "Kobe" burger was $29 or so and was a good portion size. The problem? Lacking any kind of flavor or seasoning. The beef was flavorless. The stroganoff was a good portion size but again it was severely lacking in the seasoning department. Good: Those who ordered the corn soup and the porcini mushroom ravioli enjoyed them. They especially enjoyed the sauce from the ravioli. The desserts overall were enjoyed by the table. The sticky toffee pudding, while not as rich as we are used to, was still relatively good; soft and moist enough. The dark chocolate oblong with mango passion fruit was enjoyed by everyone too. The interior remains unchanged; like a classy London gastropub. Service: communication is key. Where they dropped the ball was that we mentioned on the reservation that we were there for Father's Day and prime rib, which they do on Sundays. As you walk in you even see the sign for the prime rib special. We sat down and the server mentioned that there was no prime rib this weekend. I had even chatted with them on the reservation app and they made no mention of this. We could have gone somewhere else had we known in advanced. Our server was relatively nice too.
