Bad service , over priced and the size portions are way smaller than other locations. Stopped here after work and ordered two famous star combos, two BBQ grilled chicken sandwiches plus three sprite sodas. I like to eat while I drive (bad habit but I have places to be!). I took one swing of my sprite and YUCK!!! Nothing but carbonated water. Did I mention that it was YUCKKKKKK? I made a U-turn, grabbed my three sodas and entered the location which was empty except for one male employee handling the registers, drive-thru, packing orders etc... you get the picture plus one female voice from I don't know where bcos I didn't see anyone else but shouted, " welcome to Carl's ". Is this place haunted?? Anyway, after a few minutes of waiting bcos remember, the only, "visible" employee is doing it all, i shouted to the employee, "Hi. I just ordered and received three sodas and they are all filled with nothing but carbonated water (YUCKK!). This young person takes my three cups, mumbles something and I ask, "what? sooo, can I can other flavors of sodas?". The young guy nods his head in agreement and I ask for two lemonades and one root beer. This guy' mumbles again and once again, I am forced to say, "what?" The young guy looks at me and states, " we only have coke, Mr Pib, Tea and vitamin water". I look at the soda machine and realize that this place offers Sprite, Diet Coke, lemonade, root beer and two other flavors and they are all sold out. REALLY!?? While I am looking at my choices, the young guy drops one of the cups on the floor, picks it up and starts pouring Vitamin Water in the same cup. I guess this guy decided which flavor of drinks I was taking home. I did insist that he give me a new cup (which he did) and emptied the other two cups and refilled them with tea. I don't think my daughters will notice the carbonated water residue was my thought process. My BBQ chicken sandwiches were tasty and fresh while the drinks all had a taste of carbonated water. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves. I asked the young lady if they could make a western bacon cheeseburger with chicken she said yes I got a beef patty. And there was literally no barbecue sauce on my western bacon cheeseburger. Half of the fries were burnt I ordered a medium drink and it looked more like a small to me. All of this were $16.47. I visited the location at 1471 North Montebello Boulevard, Montebello, California 90640, United States today and was told that a coupon I had for a free Western Bacon Cheeseburger would not be honored despite it being valid until January 1, 2027. I spoke to an employee named Joseph who claimed to be the assistant manager and he refused to help or give me any further contact information. He stated that no coupons or specials would be honored until Friday. When I told him that this was unfair and a waste of my time being that I made the trip to the restaurant specifically to use this coupon, he rudely responded by saying: "if it's a waste of your time, you should leave, bro." After that, I decided this was no longer worth the effort and left. This was a very disrespectful exchange and totally puts me off from ever visiting this restaurant chain again. I only hope that this was a one-off incident and this company doesn't make it a habit of misleading customers with these sort of bait and switch tactics. read more

Decided to stop by because I live in the area. Even though this is a fast food franchise, they are so nice. The lady that helped me felt so genuine. If you live in LA, you know this kind of service is hard to come across especially at fast food places. I felt like I was at a sit-down-service restaurant, not exaggerated. Maybe it's just the lady that I happen to be helped with today, but that's enough :) I don't know why they have such a low rating, but you need to experience it yourself. read more

I never have had a problem at this Carls Jr. I use the app all the time when I am around, although I have gone less often because of the closure of Big Lots (RIP). The staff is pretty friendly and the interior is usually clean. I haven't had any problems with food either. My Mom had a minor one where they put ketchup in a burger when she didn't ask for it, but they resolved it right away. read more

The burritos are overpriced and hardly have anything in them. This is a bacon, egg and cheese burrito. You are mainly paying for a flour tortilla because it hardly has any egg or bacon. Save your money and go someplace else. read more

I came here before going to watch a movie. NEVER AGAIN. SERVICE: Not good. At the time i went there was 1 guy handling the register inside and drive through. I was waiting for a long time at the register. After maybe 5 minutes he finally tells me "Ill be with you in a few" (a few what? Years?!) ENVIRONMENT: It was quiet. I visit this Carl's jr. here and there on the bus. It's quiet, there's window views. High tables. It's EBT acceptance. For the price theses days I recommend the Super Star Burger. A month ago the cost was $5.99 but now it's $6.99 a good deal compared to others and juicy. read more

Food is pricy. But every where is these days. When it comes to fast food burgers Carlos is on top. My last visit to this location I was coming home from a e.r visit at Beverly hospital. It was the middle of the night. The guy taking the order was entertaining and made my night with his personality. My daughter and I couldn't stop talking about it for a few days. If I could give it a zero for stars, I would. Everytime I've come here to order a 1/3 lb angus burger they try bullshitting me and giving me the regular beef patty used for the famous star and the western burger. I let it slide last time but I went in this time and told them they gave me the wrong patty. The Mexican lady at the drive thru denied that the 1/3 lb patty existed because according to her "that's the way it looks now". I laughed and told her that not only did I used to work at Carl's Jr. at one point in my life so I know the difference (clearly a huge difference), but I've ordered it from any Carl's Jr. location and always got what I paid for. It just so happens that only in this location they try lying to you and selling you a regular patty. Hate being lied to especially when it comes to food that I'm paying for. Their was a supervisor their as well who also tried bullshitting me but the look on their face was priceless when I had to explain to him why he was lying. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want these people to steal your money by charging you for shit they don't actually sell. read more

I'm dumbfounded. Why the hell did they put bacon in my beyond burger. This defeats the purpose of even getting Beyond meat. It didn't occur to me to check my food before driving off, I mean who opens their food wrappers to see if meat is in the Beyond Burger? The wrapper had a sticker to signify it was a Beyond Burger. And I ordered 2 and they did it twice. I'm "Beyond" annoyed. And I'm not in a position to drive back and have them fix this. read more

I go to fast food places often and because of the environment "fast food" I do my best to not be too judgmental. That being said, this is the most disgusting Carl's Jr. I've ever been too. My spicy chicken sandwich had so much mayo on it that there where large amounts of mayo all through out the wrapper and when I finally got to see my burger it was just sitting in a blob of mayonnaise. Unfortunately I was not able to return it for my money back since I went through the drive through.... this burger went directly into the trash, not even the passenger sitting next to me wanted it. Came here on a Friday night. I'm not sorry for being a T-mobile customer at all and I'm thankful for the fact that they give out free stuff almost every Tuesday. These past weeks it was free Sausage Biscuit and the $5 All Star Meals from Carls Jr. The code said specifically good for the whole week until a certain date meaning we can claim it but not use it until that specific date where it expired. We went here and at first they were saying they only do it on Tuesday. Well I'm sorry that the specific rules says good up to a week to that certain date and it's not expired. Why are you not letting us use it ? Finally she said okay and let us order the $5 All Star Meals. When the girl in the red shirt gave us our food. She forgot the cookies ! How the hell do you forget the cookies ?! If you work here , you should know what's IN THE $5 meal. And it doesn't look like you are new so I don't know what the hell you were thinking. Then when I was just about to eat my cheeseburger. The onions was popped out. Omg. This store. You might as well don't give me any onions. Seriously worst customer service, the girl with her hair in a ponytail & Victoria's Secret jacket was being really rude while taking our order & our fries literally looked like they were dumped into the bag and our napkins were crumpled being forced into the bag. I remember really liking it, but for some reason we hadn't been back in a while. This week my husband couldn't stop talking about wanting an Italian sub, and Frumento's immediately came to mind. We drove down and ordered the '58 Classic and another tuna sub, both as combos. The sides absolutely stole the show. The purple cabbage was so good, the coleslaw wasn't my personal favorite but my husband loved it, the four bean salad was absolutely mouthwatering, and the marinated mushrooms were also delicious. I'm genuinely so glad we have leftovers for tomorrow because I'll definitely be thinking about that bean salad again. We'll absolutely be back!

As for napkins a family pack should have at least two napkins per person right well lucky us we had 3 napkins. I also order a large Passion freeze and got a small cup half way with dried not fresh strawberries. Almost $40 for this type of service. Not the typical taco love madness I remember when a teen. So this definitely breaks my heart. Miss the detail and great service back then.

I ended up at a little food court that had a few solid looking options, but sometimes when you see a burger and smell a burger, you simply need to eat the dang burger. There was no line when my wife and I approached the window to order and we ordered a double cheeseburger, a grilled cheese, an order of fries, and a milkshake. Now, instead of simply giving us the price the dude working told us how it was going to take a really long time because he would have to make the burgers and the milkshakes, which ya know, is kind of how it works when you order food. So instead of questioning his logic, I just said forget the shake and ordered the food. The food took literally 8 minutes to come out and I can't imaging the milkshake would of caused that much trouble since they are ordered all the time, but who am I to say? The food was great, as For The Win always is. The french fries were great and so was my burger, but the lackluster interaction with the kid working really put a damp on the experience. Overall, For The Win is still my favourite burger chain in LA and it's going to take a lot for someone to knock them down (although Burgers Never Say Die and Irv's are up there too). Maybe one day, I'll even get to try a milk shake! Hopefully you have a better time ordering then I did.

Staff is friendly. The honest truth, the burgers are good. The beef itself is very good tasting, it's actually better than In N Out. But, the meat patty is very very thin. I understand it's a smash burger, but I can't justify $10 for a single cheeseburger. Glad I got to try it. Probably won't be back though.

Much better breakfast burittos at lots of other places all over the place. Worst of all, they don't even give you chips with your order! When I asked for some chips, he said it was extra! Seriously, for the prices they charge per burrito, they should give you some chips like every other places does! No thank you. Skip. There's a ton of better places elsewhere!
