Awesome neighborhood Mexican eatery. Everything is made fresh and has great taste. The owner serves you himself and is very friendly.

    Carnitas Wet Burrito Salsa Roja

Was in the neighborhood and very hungry! Ordered the carnitas wet burrito with red salsa. Absolutely delicious, and best of all it wasn't spicy at all, which is a good thing as I was sharing with my teeny toddler. Staff is very attentive and even offered an extra plate for my daughter. It's very peaceful in here. It was perfect for our little daughter date.

Got a sausage breakfast sandwich. I like how they cut the sausage into smaller pieces. The burrito wasn't greasy which is good, but it was a bit dry. The red sauce that came with it was good. It's a good no frills burrito.

Came here for a family lunch and we will definitely be back! Hearty portions. The chapo specials have a few type of meats they kind of compete with each-other and I would skip the chicken in that specific combination. The breakfast burrito was a HIT. Next time I want to try it with hash brown/refried beans. Everything else was good , will be back for sure . Service was good, not a Michelin star Joint but the price is right and it's definitely a neighborhood joint. Worker was like " you've never been here before so they definitely have their clientele" murals on the walls average Mexican spot vibes.

    Beef Cocido

Stopped by for lunch. Had a craving for cocido. Its a small establishment with a small steady stream of customers. Not really sure what is their go to dish. I don't think its their cocido. It wasn't full of veggies and the beef was tender but overall lacking a bit of flavor. Will need to try other stuff like tacos, and maybe move up to a coctel de camaron

So good we came back twice in one day!!! We brought friends the 2nd time!! The tacos are really really good!! The carnitas is very fresh and not oily or greasy. The cabeza is very soft and flavorful. The asada is not greasy and freshly made. The green salsa goes perfectly with the tacos. $2 each ... extremely fair price!! The huaraches were big and packed with toppings. Our friend said the menudo was good and would order again

El Chapo Quesadilla, Asada Fries, al Pastor tacos

They are open during the Covid19! *take out only* I called in my order and picked it up 15minutes after the call. Love that this is in my neighborhood! So convenient. The place is small but during Covid19 they have implemented standing 6ft apart in line with red tape on the ground. Theres a giant hand sanizitzer at the front desk so you can sanitize after paying/signing receipts. I appreciated that they had these things, especially during a time like this. I ordered the following: 1. carne asada fries (with no beans) - This was exactly what I was looking for. It hit the spot. So much guac and onions and cilantro. I was in love! Everything altogether was DELICIOUS. I will keep coming back for this. 2. El chapo quesadilla - this was also super heavy. Had all the meats so Was able to get a taste for them all which was great! Super cheesy. Comes with a side of sour cream. 3. Al pastor tacos - not the best al pastor I've had... a little dry to me but it wasn't bad. Salsa Verde - there's 2 kinds. both the guac version (thicker and spicier) and the regular version were good. Neither are too spicy though. Just enough kick. Overall, Staff was super friendly and food tasted GREAT so I will def come back!

Honestly my favorite taco shop in LA. Super bummed I live like an hour away but I will literally drive here just for tacos. I've tried their breaded shrimp, chicken, and asada tacos. All were five star but my favorite is the chicken. So much flavor, I can't even explain how good it is. You can add avocado as well and they're super fresh. They have lots of sauces to choose from but I just ask for one of each because they're all amazing. The service is super good, good portions, and good quality tacos for the price. Highly recommend!

More mild red, not really red enchilada sauce I'm accustomed to. And the cheese wasn't fully melted through, but the plate was hot, so maybe they figure it will melt eventually. They were nice and greeted me upon arriving and their simple salsa bar had 3 choices and some picked carrots and onions. The horchata was good. We ordered for pick up and had: - macho fries (they were pretty darkly fried but very soggy even though picked up within 15 mins -- they throw refried beans on them so not great if you really wanted carne asada style fries) - FISH tacos - YES I'd come back for these at $2.50 a piece - they were still crunchy by time I got home 5 mins later and had plenty of flavors - good price, - lengua burrito - lady never said the price but burrito was OK, just rice and lengua - steak combo plate - flavors were ok - macho burrito - they got this wrong bc we didn't want wet burrito but they did it anyways :( -- this was quite SALTY.
