Carl's is pretty much standard. I tried their version of jalapeño poppers from here and they were pretty good. A 6 piece went a long way.

The burgers were OK. The fried zucchini was less than OK. The breading was fine the zucchini was mushy. It is the reason I go to CJs. Also when I used the men's room the urinal was broken. I'm a die hard Del Taco fan whenever going back to CA but I had to do the right thing and try the Green Burrito for her even though we were on the way to the closest Del Taco from John Wayne Airport on our way home out of state. We should have known better, but we were waiting for a flight to arrive at SNA and we wanted to get something to fill the void. We ordered two chicken sandwiches and two quesadillas and instead we got two small cheeseburgers and fries. We didn't notice until we had already left. When we called they knew what had happened because someone else got our order. However when we came back, Jackie tells us she spoken to the managers and "there's nothing she can do for us". They were almost $10 for nachos that have hard chips, meat, beans, dry raw tomatoes (didn't know dry was possible with raw tomato until today), very little cheese, a sprinkling of sour cream, a small side of guacamole, and 2 sauce packets of Cholula. They sure can take your order fast. But then it's 10-15 min for your food. Heaven help you if your order is wrong. Then you have to try to get someone to look up and respond. I hope you have your receipt, because they are going to quiz you about what you ordered and asked for. If it's not what's on the receipt be prepared to be disappointed. Cruised in to this location for breakfast the other day and was a bit disappointed. The drive-thru wasn't particularly busy and my order was taken correctly. I ordered the new Loaded Omelet Biscuit combo and pulled forward. The women at the window was slow in taking my card, needed to re-swipe it and almost forgot my OJ. The chicken is perfectly breaded and crisp, accompanied by a light spread of mayo (I usually don't like mayo but somehow with fried chicken and bread it is perfect) and a crunchy leaf of iceberg lettuce. -Oh and their vanilla milkshakes are yum! Verdict: I paid less than $3.50 for a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and Fried Zucchini, which took care of my needs for starches (buns!), protein (chicken!), veggies (zucchini!) and fat (breaded stuff!). Being a burger afficionado, my curiosity got the better of me and I had to try the recently hyped Carl's Jr. all natural burger which is touted as a burger that has no antiobitics, no steroids, no added hormones from grass fed, free range cattle which beef is imported from Australia. With all of that, you would think that I would be in store for a pretty good burger. Such was not the case. All I can say is: don't waste your money or time. Yes, the beef patty is supposedly a very healthy patty. However, the burger patty was tasteless, somewhat dry, and had no real beef flavor or char flavor.
