I ordered the Mix n Match (I chose 1 regular fry and 2 waffle fries) hoping that the waffle fries would be made to order and nice and fresh. My strawberry was very good and flavorful. 8/10 would have again. My fries were a totally different story. Waffle fries were an undercooked nightmare and some of them hand a starchy texture. We usually come on a Saturday evening and have enjoyed our meals and the excellent service from the staff. They also have historically had a good health score for their, we assume, kitchen and food handling areas. This location is one of the larger Carl's and the extra space doesn't give it a cozy feeling when dining so it's not an inviting place to eat but the food and staff had kept us eating here. The 4 star rating is due to our not liking the cleanliness of the eating areas. Besides bringing our own paper towels, we also bring alcohol wipes and wet towels to clean our table and seats to all restaurants. After wiping down the table at Carl's, the alcohol wipes are always black. We realize that the cost of doing business is high. It needs redecorating, but at the very least, we would suggest that the owners close down periodically and hire a company to come in and power wash the inside of the tables and floors, clean the soda fountain area and wash the windows/doors. The last time we came by, there was a dead insect laying on the table where we were going to eat. We sat at another table after cleaning it but it left us grossed out and we have not returned to this location. The Pomerado location's eating area is cleaner and, for now, our go to. A nitpick suggestion is that a some containers of paper towels be left by the register if it is not cost effective to leave one on each table. Two towels are not enough for what are messy items to eat. Carl's once touted the messiness of their food. read more

I really appreciate this location. Kimberly and her team are wonderful, specifically the M-F lunch shift. I literally eat here every work day and I am always greeted with a smile and the food never disappoints. I ordered my food on the mobile app an hour early one day so naturally when I picked it up, it was colder than usual (completely my fault). They always make your food fresh to order. I came back the next day for my usual lunch and they asked me if my food was bad the day before. I was blown away by the attentiveness and concern! Usually situations like that aren't a concern unless the customer says something. The food here is amazing and the customer service is phenomenal. This is my favorite location. The food is consistently delicious and being able to grab and go during lunch and not be worried about food quality or being rung up by a grouchy person is just so pleasant. read more

The fries here were AWESOME. I liked them better than McDonald's fries. They were closer to homemade and were served hit and fresh. The Western Star burger could have been fresher. I could tell it had been sitting in the window for a while. read more

I don't particularly think there is much merit reviewing fast food chain restaurants because I feel most people will visit their favorites regardless. That being said, I have been to this particular Carl's Jr way too often NOT to post a review. Over the last decade, I've used the drive thru here early in the morning (sometimes before before the sun is up) and afternoon as well as dined inside for lunch and dinner. I have come solo and with groups of people. My overall experience has been that this location can usually be found clean, often with friendly and competent staff who promptly fill orders. Well I come here quite often for there Breakfast Sandwiches and sometimes I come here for there Hamburgers and fries also !! As for how fresh the Burgers and sandwiches were made it was pretty good and you must try there Crisscut Fries also there fried Zucchini is good also !! The service here is not bad and there parking is no problems !! This location is not to busy compared to the others !! It's just not as busy here at Carl's Jr. !! I enjoy there Western Bacon Burger also !! It's the home of the Famous Star !! If it doesn't get all over the place then it doesn't belong in your face !! The robot needs to be removed from drive thru. Every time I order drive thru through Carl's Jr. with the automated robot, there has been bad service, not personable, doesn't understand my special request and as simple as asking for the criss cut fries, I get reg. fries. I said coke, they gave me dr. I said no special sauce on my famous star and it was on there. Poor service, nothing is like speaking to a human/live person. Horrible experience. I have little to say but overall I will start with a positive, the customer service I thought was good, and overall their facility looked to be clean, the thing that I realize is that chain restaurants are not always going to be the same, some may be better kept up then others, or have better customer service, or even the food maybe better even though they use the same product. The disappointment for me was the fact that the food was not hot it was more on the side of warm, and especially since I had just ordered the food I would expect it to come out hot. The Carl's Jr. location in Poway on Stowe. It is supposed to be open at 6 AM on Wednesdays and other days. Every time I go there for the past month, it is not open. Today at 6:25. It was not open I see employees pulling in Quite often when I'm pulling in at 6:15 to 630. I will never go back to that location as their customer service is terrible. I went there for a while and had no issues. What is the problem if somebody can't get their lazy butt there by 6 AM. Usually don't rate fast food chains too often-Staying across the street at the Hampton inn and decided to walk over for dinner. The whole center was pretty much empty but upon first glance, the restaurant was really clean. Ordered our food with no issues and it was delivered hot and fresh in a very short amount of time. The food was good, service was good and place was clean. If you're staying at the Hampton and don't feel like going far or driving, this is a solid choice. read more

Working close to this fast good restaurants has its pros and cons. Usually on my lunch break (30 min) I will head here twice a week. But, unfortunately it's to inconsistent for me, when I go, I always go at the same time, and I have waited 3 minutes for my food to sometimes and upward of 10 minutes for food. Now I realize there are factors that play into effect like how busy it is, how many employees they have on staff ect, but it seems every time I go it's never that busy. I immediately put a freeze on my card and proceeded to eat while it was still warm. I ordered a guacamole bacon burger, which is what the receipt said... but I was given a burger with a ton of jalapenos! No bacon, no guacamole! I paid $7 for a grilled chicken sandwich that was so dry I actually thru it away after two bites. Even with the sauce, the chicken was clearly way overlooked and apparantly sat around awhile. Terrible service. I had really bad service here about 4 years ago. I decided to give it another try today. Big Mistake. I ordered a Famous Star with cheese and zucchini. It showed right on the screen and she read it back to me correctly. Got to the window, she read the order to me again correctly, charged me over $6. for it. She gave me my bag and off I went. When I got home, I look in bag and see a plain hamburger and zucchini with a receipt for $4 and change. How could she mess it up after reading me the correct order 3 times?
