Last week I attempted three trips to get a Wendy's Junior with cheese and a Wendy's Junior plane. Visited 3/03/2022 Yes particular Wendy's is always fresh and delicious. French fries are always freshly sliced and fried to perfection. Service seems to always be good and there is plenty of inside seating. With McDonald's and Jack-in-the-Box closed Wendy's is the one and only fast food burger place in Ramona. Service was OK, very popular for the kids after school, BUT the food here is interesting. I came here looking to get a burger, with some bacon on it, and the lady and the counter suggested I upgrade to a jr cheeseburger, so obviously it sounded around the same, so i took it. In the picture below, that's the cheeseburger I got. It looks like someone put it on the ground, stomped on it, then wrapped It up and sold it for 4$, so maybe not getting that again. I am so sad now. I used to love this Wendy's. How do you screw up a baconator? It is the signature burger! Limp bacon, so much grease that it washed the ketchup and mayo right off the burger. Door Dash FAIL! My order arrived 50+ minutes after the driver left Wendy's. I inputted specific driving directions as the GPS is never correct. For fast food Wendy's is our favorite. I don't want to hear about In-n-Out as best because it's all hype. Lettuce and hype. Wendy's burger meat tastes like good burger meat should. Their French Fries either regular or skin on are tasty. Always fresh oil used. Many options here. Chicken sandwiches, nuggets, chili! Salads and yummy chocolate frosties. I haven't had Wendy's in years. I saw that they have a new Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, and it sounded delicious, so I wanted to try it. It has a patty, American cheese, bacon, onion strings, and their bourbon bacon sauce. It was very tasty! The sauce was sweet. I added fries on the side and it made for a very nice lunch. The manager of this establishment is lacking in respect and dignity. He has harassed my 13 year old son twice now. The first time I called corporate, the lady whom I spoke to said I would get a call back, which never came. But, I will be calling again about the latest altercation. I went through the drive thru with my son (11yo) at around 6pm, after working all day then commuting and picking him up after school. I ordered a Dave's triple, plain, a chicken pretzel pub sandwich, 30 chicken nuggets and two large fries. All my interaction with your employees at this time were cordial. I drove home (fifteen minutes) to open my bags and soon realize both burgers were completely incorrect. The $7.29 plain triple turned out to be a single, with a wilted piece of lettuce and ketchup. The $6.59 chicken sandwich was a bourbon cheeseburger (also a single). I spent over $31 in total, which is more than I make in an hour. To come home and realize that what I had ordered was incorrect, although the receipt showed the correct order and I paid for the correct order, is very frustrating. I tried to eat the single burger and it wasn't even cooked all the way. The meat was pink. Is this normal? I attempted to call the restaurant multiple times and got no answer. My husband convinced me he would drive back into town to get our order replaced, or at least our money back. When we drove fifteen minutes back into town and tried to go in the front door, the lobby is locked. So, we had to wait in the drive thru. Again. We then explain our issue to the young lady standing next to the speaker box. She tells us to pull forward. We explain our story to the lady taking payment at the front window. She tells us to pull forward. We explain our story to the person at the second window who then gets a female claiming she's a supervisor and explain our story for a fourth time. The female supervisor at this point is moving as if she's going to give us a refund, since we've just wasted our entire evening over a fast food mistake, when a man runs to the drive thru window from the back and nearly throws himself outside and yells, "What is going on? They don't understand what your issue is!" My husband then explains for a fifth time what the issue is. This aggressive man claims he is the manager and he "can't" give us our money back. Then scolds my husband about holding up the line! Is this customer service? I have worked in the customer service industry my entire life and I have more respect for the restaurant world than most people. However, I don't believe the customer is always right. But this manager's reaction and treatment towards me and my husband was not only wildly unprofessional, but almost harassing. He kept asking (yelling), "well where's the food!" We brought the incorrect food back and handed it to him. He then kept saying we weren't welcome there and we were holding up the line, while still not giving us a refund for THEIR mistake. He didn't offer to correct the problem, either. I was at my local wendy's and my friend ordered baconater fries, when we were served the cheese on the fries was not melted. So we asked the cashier if they could melt the cheese, she said yes. I stopped on this Wendy's for a Frosty on my way back from visiting Julian. The girl that waited on me was a real sweetheart. She was nice, friendly and caring. One reason that influences my decision to patronize an establishment is if they offer a senior or veteran discount. I didn't request a discount on this visit as I only stopped in for a 50 cent Frosty. I was automatically given a veterans discount for wearing my US Navy Veteran hat. I was really touched by that act of kindness and respect. The restaurant was clean. The manager took time to say hello. Overall a great experience. At a lot of Wendy's I've noticed most of their business is vìa the Drive Thru. At this location there were lots of happy customers in the lobby as well as drive thrum. I recommend this Wendy's . They now charge less if you ask for the Apple Pecan Salad WITHOUT the chicken. Bad news is that they only have pecans or sunflower seeds and neither are Vegan. The value hamburger is small but their side salads are amazing. They are fresh and even include red bell pepper!
