Horrible. Dirty, slow and could care less about the customer. Waited at counter for at least 4-5 min to order. Someone kept telling the young kid to do other stuff. Prices are stupid high. They don't give a dam about you. I watched the S$it Sh@w for 30 min before getting a simple combo meal. Then I got no tomatoe or onion. Poor me I guess.

DON'T STOP HERE!!! They're a hot mess!!! I paid $22.68 for them to forget my daughter's milk, have a few hash browns thrown into the to-go bag, and hair scrambled in the eggs on my breakfast biscuit sandwich. If you do eat here the chances of getting food poisoning is high.

This was the spicy chicken sandwich-- lettuce and sauce with the freezer-type chicken patty

Okay Bertha-- really this is a shake? 2/3 full. She handed it to me and asked me if I needed whipped cream -- and I replied "Guess I'd better if I want a full cup?!" Other customer felt and said a comment to "is that supposed a shake?" Not going back to this one.

By far one of the worst fast food places along all of I-5 corridor. I'm so disappointed! I don't frequent Carl's Jr / Green Burrito. I just know in the past I've not been a big fan of their burgers flavor. So with that in mind,I ordered a simple crunchy beef taco: $1.99. For that, I'd expect at least a halfway decent taco. I mean really, how do you screw up a taco!? Well good job... they did. It was small, chewy shell with some weird texture mystery meat that fell apart every attempt to bite into. Ugh! Thank goodness for what looked like a fairly fresh salsa bar with diced tomatoes and onions and cilantro (Pico de Gallo). Also there were yellow peppers, onion cilantro mix, onions, cilantro and a hot sauce. They don't have any in between sauces and the only package hot sauce they have is Chulua. (Which I got 5 packs of for my one tiny taco). My husband ordered the western bacon cheeseburger combo. The order of fries were very short changed. Sad and pathetic! After he watched me struggle with my taco he shared his burger with me... yup just as I remember them. They are just WEIRD tasting! We waited an exceptionally long time and before we got there, there were no other people waiting. When we left there was at least 6 other guys waiting with a befuddled look on their faces, wondering the same thing we were thinking.... WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG!! And lastly, our server, male with bleached blonde hair, was friendly until we were finishing our pick up transaction and he offered us ketchup and Chulua and we thought he was interacting with us (i mean he was looking right at us all but two feet from each other) but he was actually talking to someone over the headset intercom. Sigh. Like...thanks,.. you're welcome,.. eat rocks. Only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is the bathroom was clean. The restaurant itself, although I watched them sweep and mop, still just didn't look or even feel clean. Tables were not wiped down. Needless to say, I won't ever stop at this Carl's again... and not likely any other for that matter unless by someone else's choice. And what's with the Green Burrito?? Why?? They can't get a taco right, what makes one think they could get something like a burrito right?!

A good breakfast for a nice ride home.

Needed some breakfast on the road from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Stopped here mainly because unlike the other MAJOR Hamburger Place - Carl's does't ONLY serve Breakfast items in the morning, and my wonderful wife, doesn't like breakfast - she wants a burger in the morning. So I had the sausage, egg and cheese biscuits (2) and a large coffee. She had the Western Bacon Cheeseburger Combo with large fries (to share). My biscuit sandwiches were good. The biscuits are a little over done but I enjoyed the nonetheless. The coffee was okay, but better than the cup I had at a gourmet coffee shop in Reno two days prior. My wife's Western Bacon was served on the "New Bun." The burger itself was fine - normal for Carl's but she said she prefers the old bun. The fries were fresh and hot. The service was okay - the restroom was clean.

It was 11:30pm and I had been driving on the I-5 for about 6 hours, returning to San Fran from Vegas with dry eyes and a growling stomach. Nothing much was open and then there suddenly in the distance like a beacon of hope in the distance the yellow star shown brightly. I quickly pulled over and strolled on in. I was greeted by a nice young man who introduced me to Time Magazine's Summer of 2013 Must-Taste Fast Food List: Where get this their San Diego Burrito had made the top ten! I'm going to set this up for you by sharing an excerpt from OCFoodies Magazine: "We are always on the look-out for the latest Mexican food trends for our Green Burrito menu and we loved this one that we ran across in the San Diego area," said John Koncki, director of product development at Carl's Jr. and Green Burrito. "Down there near the border, many Mexican restaurants offer steak burritos with French fries in them so, of course, we had to try them and they were great! The French fries go really well with the taste of marinated steak, freshly prepared guacamole and salsa, adding a nice crunch and potato flavor to the burritos. So, I guess Green Burrito's answer to the age-old question 'Do you want fries with that?' is 'Sí.'" I think John says it best. Was it amazing? Hell no! It was fast food! It did however beat that other mexican chain place that is not Taco Bell (what in fast food could ever beat Doritos Tacos Locos?) and the restaurant was clean and the only thing open along the hi-way. Keep on Truck'in!

I would not stop here again the place was a mess!

Get french toast dips and a monster biscuit. Both were fine. The casher was nice. I don't like powdered sugar.

I stopped by Texas Burger recently and was impressed with both the food and the overall experience…read more I ordered the bacon burger, and it was packed with flavor. The bacon was cooked just right and paired really well with the juicy burger. I also tried the corn dog, which was super crispy. The chicken tenders were also great. They were juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and tasted super fresh. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. The dining area was tidy, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and even the restroom was noticeably clean--something I always appreciate when dining out. The prices were okay. I ordered 2 bacon burger meals, a Philly cheesesteak, 2 corn dogs, and a 5 piece chicken tenders all for around $70. Overall, Texas Burger delivered on both food quality and customer service. I'd definitely stop by again.

I wouldn't eat from this spot again unfortunately…read more I ordered the deluxe burger by itself and a side order of mushrooms. I was originally going to order the combo but when I realized you're paying for the burger and fries ONLY with no drink it honestly didn't seem worth it to me. The mushrooms were so disappointing to put it nicely. Soggy, and soft, many of them were falling apart or even looked chewed already. I was really looking forward to them because of the photo online, they looked nice and crispy and tender- usually whenever I order mushrooms from other establishments, they are still somewhat firm and bouncy with a nice crunchy breading, so when I opened the little bag that held these, I was instantly disappointed. I did try eating a few just to make sure that I wasn't judging it too harshly or prematurely, but honestly, it just felt like the more I ate the worst the taste got for me. I would absolutely steer clear of them unless this was 100% a fluke, but I really hope people are not ordering these mushrooms and getting what I got, because it's an absolute rip off to be charged $7 for this mess. I was looking forward to the burger because when we were initially deciding where to get food from, I did not want fast food because of how much you pay these days for it and sometimes how little you get. So when the idea of coming here to get food was floated by I jumped at the opportunity because I was thinking a burger joint would do really good burgers. Unfortunately for me, I was sorely disappointed again. The burger was somewhat smashed, and honestly, the quality was just really low. Really thin patty, a whole bunch of onion (and I LOVE onion on my burgers usually), really thin piece of tomato, a whole bunch of lettuce, and now that I think about it, I don't even think it had cheese on it. It was to the point that about halfway through, where majority of the onion was layered, I couldn't even taste the burger patty at all, just onion + bread + mayonnaise. I will be honest, I did eat the burger entirely because I really hate to waste food and there wasn't anything wrong with the burger per se, I just absolutely would not order another burger like this for the price that I paid when I can go to Burger King for a similar price and more food and better quality. Overall, I was really underwhelmed by this place. I would hope that this is not the standard that they put out and they really do much better when you dine in or when you get food earlier in the day, because I really hate to think that there are people out there paying what I paid for this food and thinking this is good quality. I did also look at some other review images to see what sort of quality people were getting though and t does look like the thin burger patties is a set standard for this spot, which is really unfortunate in my opinion because again you could literally go to Burger King and get a thicker burger patty and more food for what you pay. I personally would not order from this location again based on this experience.

"Indian food at a gas station doesn't sound very appealing to me."…read more So Big Bro says. Not that he's not a fan of the cuisine. It's quite the opposite, actually, and he's a bit particular about it. BACKSTORY: Arco next door is my go-to for fuel stops in my SoCal-NorCal-SoCal treks. I've always wanted to stop by for grub here (because it smelled amazing from the outside!) but having the pup in tow simply made it impossible. And then an opportunity! No fur baby, just Big Bro - who took a bit of convincing to go. And so we did! It's a no mess - no frills kinda place. We were handed menus immediately and I sorta let Big Bro take the lead on this. But 2 items we were not going to skip were a goat and lamb dishes. SAMOSAS: Cooked to order hot. Might give it a minute before taking a bite. We loved it. Good crisp on the outside and an explosion of flavors coming from the inside. It didn't even need the dipping sauce, although it gave it a different (also good!) flavor profile. Recommending. LAMB BIRYANI: Mild level spice. Warning: it was still pretty spicy, so if heat isn't your thing, you might wanna skip it altogether. But it was certainly delicious. The aroma alone was enticing, we couldn't wait to dig in. The game level was present, but subtle. There was a perfect amount of lamb commensurate to the rice which was cooked fluffy. We liked this as well. GARLIC NAAN: Made to order! It has crisp, it had fluff, it had flavor! Garlic level was not overwhelming, it was just right. And if went well with the goat curry! GOAT CURRY: There was a lot of love in this dish. It's common knowledge it takes awhile to cook goat down to tenderness, and they did it right here. Game aroma was much less than the lamb, but it is present. The broth was rich with flavors, I think it may have hit my every taste bud: sweet, salty, savory, mild heat, just umami all around. Great with either naan or plain white rice. It was amazing. FOOD: 5. Loved EVERYTHING. SERVICE: 5. Friendly staff. Service was fast. VALUE: 5. Worth it! We had enough to yield a second meal for two! PARKING: Private lot. Street also available. Not an issue. OVERALL: 5. Big Bro May never look at a gas station eatery the same way ever again! And I now truly understand the high ratings. Lots of my fellow Yelpers got it right! It'll be a long while for a return visit. But it'll be the grub run should I go on one of those treks again.
