Was super excited to get a new refrigerator delivered today, only to find out it couldn't be installed because the supply valve started leaking. We had to shut off all the water to the house and were scrambling to find someone who could come quickly and not charge an absurd amount. The Yelp reviews for Carlson Plumbing were fantastic, and the service absolutely lived up to them. Not only were they able to come within the hour from my call, but the pricing was almost half of what I was quoted by several other companies. Gilbert and Logan were friendly, helpful, and quickly replaced the leaking valve and got our water back on in no time. They even offered to help move the refrigerator into its designated spot, which was definitely not part of their scope and very appreciated (we ended up declining, but the offer alone said a lot). They also pointed out a secondary water shut off we had completely forgotten about. Also worth mentioning, this was the only place I called where I actually reached the office and not a call service. I can't remember her name, but she was incredibly helpful and honestly saved us by getting someone out so fast, especially since we were without water at both our house and our attached rental. A household object was dropped into the toilet and accidentally flushed (don't ask!). Since it was lodged in the S trap we needed a plumber to extricate it so it would not clog the toilet and make it unusable. Never used Carlson Plumbing previously but saw good reviews so decided to give them a call. The dispatcher arranged for the next available plumber to come over later on the same day. Mind you, this was NOT an emergency situation! Ricardo quickly assessed the problem, came up with two solutions (one best case scenario and one worst case scenario), and told me upfront what each one would cost. He tried his darnedest to retrieve the object but it couldn't be done. So he had no other choice but to pull the toilet up, at which point he could access the object. He then reset the toilet in place in a very competent and efficient manner. Although plumbing repairs are never cheap, I was charged $275 for a job well done. I'm sure other companies might have exploited the situation and charged even more. Bottom line: I'm satisfied and would not hesitate to call them again in the future. Brandon and his team have been so helpful to both me and my neighbors through many of our worst experiences over the years. For example, tree roots once causeed our main sewer line to clog up just hours before a dinner party. No toilets, no sinks, nothing was draining! OVERPRICED DERELICTS. I've had work done from this company several times in the last 10 years and I have always been very happy with the work and price, until today. All I needed was a small copper pipe cut and reconnected 2 inches away. I told the employee I removed the watersoftner. He said they don't work on watersoftners. I told him I didn't need work on the softener because I had already removed it. He said if it was hard to get to it was going to cost a lot. I asked for another plumber because this guy had a bad attitude and just didn't want to work. They had me text a photo of where the work needed to be done. Plumbing problems are not fun...MAJOR plumbing problems are worse. When we realized the slow drains were not getting better, we called three plumbers...you know, to get three estimates and compare diagnosis. While all three companies diagnosed the problem the same, (a broken line under the slab) and also recommended the same services for repair, we went with Carlson for a couple different reasons. 1) Customer Service, Customer Service, Customer Service!!! Can we talk about Mason for just a minute. This young man was on it. He communicated with us throughout the entire process (4-days of work). We always knew when he would be arriving and departing and he honored his word. He was beyond professional, always courteous and when the plumbing needed to be shut off, he was clear about the amount of time it would be off and he was early or on time with his time estimates. 2) Above and Beyond - we have artificial grass in front where they needed to dig one of the three trenches. Mason was careful in rolling it back during the work and even went as far to put it back together nearly perfect when the job was done. He even pressure washed our driveway and all other places USA marked for utilities. The trench required in the garage rendered dirt everywhere. We have indoor/outdoor carpet in our garage and we were okay needing to throw it out...that's how much dirt there was. Nope, not necessary, Mason and team cleaned it ALL up and vacuumed the carpet. No need to throw it out now. 3) Pricing - Carlson Plumbing's pricing was less than the other two estimates we received (the other two estimates were for exactly the same amount), and while pricing does come into play, we all know the old adage, "you get what you pay for"...but in the case of Carlson Plumbing, we got A+++ workmanship, A+++ customer service, A+++ professionalism, and A+++ pricing. Win/Win!! I don't usually write reviews, I know, bad on me...but in the case of Carlson Plumbing, I knew I had to. In fact, they barely left an hour ago. I much appreciate the excellent response time and quality of service from these plumbers. They responded by text ON A SUNDAY, then arrived the NEXT DAY to clear the plumbing in my home of root clogs from a city tree in front of my property. Kyle and Gil were VERY patient and courteous as I explained the problem. Then they spent more than 3 hours using a hydrojetter to carefully cut away roots without harming the plumbing of my older home. These guys are great. Honestly can't see any reason to work with anyone else if you're in their service area. First had Carlson Plumbing come out about two years ago to look at a clogged shower drain issue that another company wasn't able to fix and were telling us we'd need to dig up and repipe the bathroom for close to $10k. Carlson Plumbing came in and cleared the drain out within a half an hour. Last night we started hearing our pipes banging in the walls. I resolved the issue temporarily but it started up again hours later. I contacted Carlson Plumbing in the morning and they sent a plumber, Mason, over here within minutes. His initial assessment was that our hot water recirculator check valve had gone bad. He gave a quote and I had him replace the valve. While it ended up being correct that it was not working properly, it wasn't the cause of the problem. So he continued to investigate and realized it was the thermal expansion tank on our water heater that had gone bad. Since the check valve wasn't the issue he provided that replacement free of charge and replaced the expansion tank. There's no more banging sound and the cost was the same as the initial quote. read more

I followed up Monday afternoon as a follow-up and scheduled for a plumber to stop by Tuesday between 2-4 pm. Kyle was on time and very professional and nice. There was water dripping from the new tankless water and I had no idea why. Kyle found the condensation outlet wasn't connected to a drainage pipe. He had to cut out the drywall and plywood to make a T line into the drainage pipe and have a new pipeline to go in to drain (same drain where the washer is).
