My homeowner's insurance required me to install a Moen Smart Water Shutoff valve, and I did my homework--I got quotes from 5 other plumbing companies. Only Pierside was truly competitive. Beyond having the best pricing, they kept it completely consistent. Unlike the other guys, they never tried to up-sell or up-charge me for services or products I didn't want or need with a foot-in-the-door sales technique. The team at Pierside went completely above and beyond. While they were working, they noticed and updated some aging plumbing that absolutely saved me from a major emergency repair down the road and didn't price gauge me but easily corrected the issue. They were also incredibly professional and respectful of my property, wearing protective booties the entire time they were inside my home and doing a total, spotless clean-up after the work was completed. What really sets them apart is their communication and care. They supported me through every single step of the process--both before and after the install. They didn't just pack up and leave when the physical work was done; they stayed to help me get the app set up on my phone and make sure everything was syncing correctly. Times are tough, since 2020 when many folks bought houses, things are naturally breaking down and in need of repair. Pierside plumbing was quick to respond, and gave a quote that was reasonable. They came to look at what needed to be done and the cost was higher than the estimate. Okay, I get it, it's a financial stretch but things needed to get done. We had a dishwasher replacement that resulted in finding out we had leakage in our garbage disposal and that our kitchen sink really needed to get replaced because it wasn't worth saving and likely contributing to the leakage issues. Most folks would say that they were trying to scam me into these replacements, which I won't deny everyone wants to make a little more where able- but I also know my house is old and I've been putting off any major upgrades just because it was still working. Garbage disposal replaced on the spot, awesome. Sink replacement was going to take longer, and what was sad for me was my instant hot water tap wasn't going to be salvaged and I had to pay for my own replacement and labor replace that ontop of the sink replacement- I'm not angry about this, just gotta say it for what it is. Ontop of all that, the floorboard of our kitchen sink was basically gone and needed to be replaced too. So while I'm going to say Pierside did do a great job, there's a couple things worth noting that aren't anyone's fault but did affect the experience, and the reason for one star off: 1) there's less than a handful of guys working these jobs, and naturally some jobs take longer than others. We did get cancelled on before we could get our job worked on, and while ours was being worked I noticed they had to cancel someone else's job after mine which I felt terrible about. 2) when it came time to figure out which sizing and brands to use for a new kitchen sink, we were told we could order through them for wholesale pricing. Ultimately, we had to buy a sink from Home Depot on the spot, it was an inconvenience but I'm not blaming anyone because life happens. Overall I would still recommend Pierside plumbing, just be understanding that they are understaffed, and expect higher than the estimated cost for the final cost. read more

Pierside plumbing was one of many companies we called out regarding a broken head on a sink drain as well as back-up issues in both bathroom showers. They were prompt with communication, were proactive in scheduling our appointment, and texted and emailed frequently to keep us posted on the status of our request and the technician's arrival time. They were able to explain in layman's terms what needed to be done and had a very optimistic attitude about all of the things we were inquiring about and the time it would take to complete the job. They gave a very fair quote for the broken drain head repair, scoping our system to figure out how and where a series of clean outs should be installed (offered a lower price if we did the digging), and hydro-jetting the lines. Jason talked me through some questions I had after three other companies came out - as a couple of them gave us conflicting information. He put our minds at ease with his professionalism and years of knowledge! I hired Pierside Plumbing for a number of projects over the past two years since moving to HB. I'm fairly handy myself but I needed some expertise for remodel work in the kitchen and bathrooms. I reached out to 5 other plumbing companies to evaluate and compare my options before deciding to go with Pierside Plumbing. Their estimates were fair (not the cheapest or most expensive), work was able to be completed quickly (often the same week), and the workers were friendly and professional. I also appreciated that I wasn't being upsold or oversold for something that I didn't want or need. Some of the work Pierside Plumbing has completed for me includes moving a gas line for the oven, moving water lines for the fridge, replacing water shut-off valves, replacing the water heater with a new 40g Bradford White, installing a Flow-Tech "water softener" system, setting a new toilet, installing a rainfall shower head and faucets. Consistently, the workers have done a great job protecting my floors with drop cloths and are diligent about putting booties over their shoes before entering.
