We went to Carlucci's for dinner. We had a party of 8. It was during the middle of the week so we had no issues with reservations. Food was very good. Service was excellent also. Dinner portions are a good size. Everyone enjoyed what they got. This is my third time there and have tried different things every time and was very satisfied each time we have gone. Service was FANTASTIC. Food definitely not. I didn't complain but I didn't eat my dinner. My eggplant was rubbery. Maybe it was premade. I don't know. But something wasn't right. Also, my brother in law's stuffed pepper entree was stuffed with imitation crab meat. YUCK! Major major turnoff. We won't return. It's a shame because our waitress was a gem. Carluccis grill offers great slices of pizza. They have a wide variety of unique slices that there is something for everyone.

We ordered one of their deals during the COVID-19 stay at home time. $50 to feed 10 people. Well worth the money--and not doubt it will certainly feed 10, probably more. Six of us each had plates, with 4 taking a second round. There were still plenty of leftovers. We live about 5 miles away, when we got home, food was still hot, nothing needed to be heated. Great place as always. Start with warm bread cubes with tomato sauce. The calamari was very different and awesome. Tha pasta fagolli soup was perfect. I had a seafood trio over mixed vegtables where the vegtables will make me come bsck. They actuslly cook vegtables to taste great. The guave flute for desert was tasty but hard to get at, perhaps a different container. Pricey but so worth it. read more

This place has amazing food, especially for gluten free guests. We tend to stick to the pasta dishes, but their gluten free pizza is also really good as well as any of their entrees. I'd recommend the gluten free brownie for dessert. They're really careful in preparing gluten free meals, and we've never gotten sick. You won't be disappointed! If I could make one suggestion: the only gluten free salad dressing they carry is oil and vinegar. It would be great if they would carry a few more gluten free options (even if they were store bought dressings for their GF guests). read more

Yeah, I'm going to rave about this place. So if that kind of enthusiasm turns you off, look away. I have never, NEVER had a bad experience here. Every single time my wife and I eat at Carlucci's, I leave saying how much I love the place. And we eat out a lot. Now I know the little place they tried in the Oxford Valley Mall wasn't so hot and the other one up Oak road a ways is just pretty good, but this place next to the Kohl's is another story. I've read some of the reviews that weren't so glowing and I have an observation or two. This is not unlike a nice Italian place in South Philly. You have to understand how things work. The family that owns the place is proud of it, but they are not going to kiss your ass or fawn all over you for a tip like some damn Chiles or something. There is a little protocol here. Be polite, and pay some respect to the owner and I assure you, as I know it to be true in any proper Italian restaurant, you will be treated very well. Be an ass and, yeah, you may be ignored. I often get the Carlucci's Surprise salad. I has Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Zucchini, Eggplant and such in a Balsamic dressing. Awesome. Once the Prosciutto has a few tough spots that I cut and put aside. Our waiter asked about that and when I said that it was no problem, he insisted that he take it back. He did and it was back in a minute or two, fully new and better than awesome. And I love the Gnocci. My wife love the Rollatini. And the garlic 'puffy' bread is so good. Someone said that this is not a 'Five Star' place and that those who gave it such were just wishing for a 'Five Star' in their neighborhood. Listen dude. You know, it ain't 'The Palm' or the Four Seasons. Well Duh. But if you need to go to Yelp to help you decide if those places are for you, me thinks you think too much. Look, these are tough times for any business and if a restaurant deserves a good review, let them have it. I think this place is really good. I like the way they treat you. Like adults who don't act like children. The food is very good and the price is just where you'd expect it too be. Or you could go to Applebees, Chiles, Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays like the rest of the sheep and get a kiddie waitress to kiss your ass and serve you Cryropacked crap. NB: Its pretty clear that all of the low stars were for the EXPRESS place. Not the main Carlucci's. That being said, it even more drives home the point that THIS place is great. read more

Carlucci's is an Italian restaurant amidst a sea of chain restaurants. The people who work there are friendly, the service is good, and most importantly, the food is delicious. They have a large menu with rotating specials, you get 2 - count them -2 types of bread before your meal, and their desserts are good as well! Their manager is very loud and obnoxious. We made arrangements to meet our friends. They arrived first, when we got there, we told them that our friends had already sat down at the table. The manager asked if our friends were "Chinese". Why would someone assume all Asians were Chinese? We all found this very offensive and could not enjoy our dinner. read more

For all the years we have been going to Carlucci's, we have always previously been pleased with the indoor dining. In the fall, we dined on their outdoor patio and again were happy. We have not been inside a restaurant for the entire duration of the current pandemic. This past Saturday, I invited friends to dinner at my house and decided to order takeout from Carlucci's. It was a disaster. I called during a non-busy time to place the order. I kept getting put on hold and spoke to three separate individuals. Finally, the last person read the order for six dinners back to me correctly. I wanted to pay for it in advance as someone else would be picking it up. That seemed to be a big problem for them - "too confusing!" This was the reaction even though I had called the day before and the same person had assured me it would be fine. Moving on...the order was wrong. We received only two cacciatore instead of the three ordered. The cacciatore dishes were not very good, not even close to how good they usually taste. Had ordered one borsellini pesto and received two, but one of them was simply a plate of farfalle with pesto sauce but no grilled chicken, not even the dish described. The other two dinners were correct. The bread with the tomato sauce on it was heaped one on top of the other in a multiple layers, plenty of it but very messy. We had requested some plain bread with no sauce and didn't get it. This was very disappointing. I did not expect this level of incompetence from Carlucci's. We will not be ordering from them again nor will my friends. read more

I went here with my pregnant wife and my mother. We ordered three lunches and opted for the soup with our entrees. My soup had a hair in it, so I had to send it back. My wife ordered Salmon Aromatico. The salmon had a strange, mushy texture. She became very ill after leaving the restaurant until the entire meal passed through her. I am, of course, very concerned about any ill effects the bad food could of had on the pregnancy. That aside, my mother and I ordered different lunch specials--mine was a pasta dish with shrimp and sauteed zucchini and eggplant, my mother ordered a seafood cannelloni dish. Our dishes were visually unappealing and tasted even worse. I even felt a little nauseous after lunch. Do not go to this restaurant. The food was tasteless and poorly prepared, and worse, dangerous. read more

Don't see what the fuss is about. We've been wanting to try this restaurant for years and always see how busy it is. That's usually a good sign. Last night we went, waited only about 15 minutes for a table, honestly not bad. While waiting we heard a waiter singing "Happy Birthday, beautifully and at the top of his lungs, twice. While waiting for our orders we received some bruschetta (meh) and a loaf of bread (better). The meal arrived and was mediocre (chicken caruso and veal saporito). Not a lot of flavor, though the portions were right (not too little and not too much.) The restaurant was loud, conversations seemed to be too much and the singing! No less than EIGHT times while we were there. It was nice the first time, the next seven times was ridiculous. Not going back. read more

I highly recommend the scallops angelica as an appetizer and the seafood bisque as a soup and just about anything as an entree. They have daily specials which are often excellent. Best Italian food in the area. My favorites are ravioli bellini (ravioli in a pink sauce with spinach) and the pollo santa lucia. My father also loves this restaurant and orders the seafood dishes, especially the linguini carnivale (linguini with many fruits of the sea). Also a plus at Carlucci's is the friendly service. The food is garbage. The bread appetizer is a "pitalka " bread. Pitalka is a middle eastern bread used also in the Balkans when serving "qebapi", a veal sausage served in fast food joints. Yuck. The seafood cannelloni described to have crab meat tasted like Mexican enchiladas overstuffed with mac n cheese, hardly able to taste any fish. Oh, the cannelloni was double rolled, no wonder couldn't taste anything. Had to unroll the cannelloni to remove the extra layer in order to even taste the gross stuffing. The restaurant is overpriced for the poor quality of food they offer. read more

I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed Carlucci's before as I've been coming here for about a decade. This place is easily the best Italian restaurant in the Levittown/Langhorne area. While I usually order one of their seafood entrees, their appetizers are fantastic. My wife and I have spent a Sunday afternoon here just sharing appetizers as a meal. The misto italiano is a must order. This might be one of my favorite things to order from any restaurant ever. Their soups are also really good, oh and the bread provided to each table is amazing as well. Also, I must say that one of the best things about Carlucci's is the service. It's also BYO and there is a liquor store in the same shopping center. read more

No kidding this place is exceptional. When first looking into it I found that it is one of six restaurants with the same name but don't let the small chain fool you this was outstanding. My wife is a vegetarian with allergies to dairy and there is trouble finding food in some places. It was not the case here. We started with the bread (soft bread with marinara which was really good and puffy bread brought out hot with olive oil to taste it is knock your socks off good). Next we got the seafood sampler, clams, calamari, crab cake, mussels, shrimp - it is nothing to laugh at and the flavors are amazing. The crab cake alone was so good it prompted my wife to order the crab cake entree. I ordered the Santa Lucia (grilled chicken over broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes on a bed of farfalle all smothered in smoked mozzarella. It was very good but the highlight of this meal was my wife's crab cakes. There is a reason they are a signature dish. Lump crab meat, which they heap on, and roughly the size of a baseball. Now imagine two on your plate. "To go box please!" Also ordered soup with the meal. My wife got pasta fagioli and loved every bit of it. I got the seafood bisque and haven't tasted bisque that good since being in Maine several years ago. Creamy flavorful and just plain Incredible! Desserts were nothing amazing, the typical desserts that are ordered from a large manufacturer. Actually the same menu I have seen in other establishments which was a bummer. Overall amazing experience, real Italian wait staff make the experience fun and immerse you in the atmosphere. Check it out for some great food and then hit an ice cream bar nearby. read more

I would first like to point out that there are two Carlucci's in this mall, one is a pizza joint and called Carlucci's Express, the other is a sit down restaurant BYOB and is called Carlucci's Grill. The later is a gem!! Don't fret if you arrive without your vino, there is a Superfresh around the corned in the mall with a liquor store. So get a table, walk down and get a couple of bottles. OK, so now you are served fresh baked italian bread topped with marinara sauce, yum!! The entree choices are many and I have had most (except fish, can't go there). Bar none, they are served piping hot and delicious. Oh and the fresh baked garlic bread, very different, kind of like a whole large pita cooked with olive oil and fresh garlic brushed on top. If you hear singing don't be surprised. They have a few that love to serenade while working, it is very refreshing. All the servers are a little older and have perfected their craft. No teenagers just looking to get it over with here! The ambiance is such that you forget that you are in a strip mall the minute you get inside. The prices are average, you can spend between $10-$20 on an entree. If you have kids with you there is a nice kids menu and crayons to help them color the flip side of the place mat. Turn it in at the end of your meal and they will stamp it with free kids pizza stamp and say, you won!! This makes the day for them, too cool. My brother and sister raved about this Italian eatery. So we took our mother today for her 82nd birthday. The staff were very professional and polite. The food is excellent. We ordered the seafood sampler and the misto Italiano for the table. My father loved the clams and mussels. The calamari which was lightly battered was perfect. I had the Veal Sapotito which was so delicious. The prices are surprising low for the portion size and quality of the food. Our mother who had a stroke earlier in the year used her walker. The only complaint I have is the establishment isn't the most handicap friendly place in the world. Saying that, Carlucci's has excellent food at very reasonable prices and great service. read more
