Needed glass for a couple curio cabinets. Did an online search and found Carmel Glass and Mirror. I was able to order online. They told me 3 to 4 weeks out but it took only about a week. Either was fine. Picked up glass today. It was wrapped in paper and ready to go after paying my balance. I was going to order from an on line company and have it shipped but CG&M was actually less expensive and not far from my house to pick up. read more

Had to have a couple interior windows replaced due to a furniture moving accident (long story, dont ask).. called around to get some quotes and Carmel was able to come by pretty quickly. They were price comperative with others (can't ever use Gilpin again, just stay away), so decided to try them out. Took about two weeks to get the glass in, but they were pretty speedy about setting up the service appts once in (couple days delayed due to the big snowstorm, no blame there). Windows went in quick, were tight and well done. Definitely will call them again. Only reason not a 5 star is the delay in getting materials. May not be thier fault, but cold wind whistling in for 2+ weeks was pretty hard to be happy about. If I could give 4.5 stars,I would. read more

Barry helped us and so did his associate, Gabe. I am sorry I can't remember the names of the two men who delivered the glass but they were friendly and they were very careful with the glass. I RATE Carmel Glass and Mirror A BIG ZERO! I had a TERRIBLE experience with this business and could not in good conscience recommend them to anyone! They were UNPROFESSIONAL, their staff was VERY RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL in my home, and after bragging that they have been in business for 32 years, they had the audacity to measure my windows incorrectly! This "bush league" mistake lead to a domino effect of mistakes that caused them to have to REDO the job SEVERAL times! What a HUGE waste of my time and money!!! I still have a problem with one of my windows, which the president of the company diagnosed, then back pedaled on his decision, and refused to fix it . . . yet he had no problem charging me one thousand dollars for the job! The REPUTATION, PROFESSIONALISM and TRUST that a company presents to its customers has to come from the top down or the company comes across as DISHONEST! We got quotes from a few companies to repair a shattered door glass on 9/14. We were told by this company that it would take 10-12 days to come in. First, it didn't come in until 10/5 and it was the WRONG SIZE. So they reordered it, saying they would put a RUSH on it, and it didn't come in until 10/22. That's 17 days...significantly longer than the original estimate of 10-12 days. Not much of a rush. I scheduled an appt for an install today at 3:30pm so I could be here; they arrived at 1:30pm. They obviously are not interested in repeat business, otherwise they would have put some action behind their apologies. But we got nothing except being charged the full balance for a piece of glass we were told would take 10-12 days but instead took 38 days. If that's the kind of service you want from a company, then this is your company to use. I will be looking for an alternative. The bio on the company said it is a company founded on service...this was not our experience. read more

The other reviewer is right, they did used to do a great job but are going downhill. Now they don't listen to you, don't pay attention to detail and there's a lady working the front desk and bless her heart , she's sweet but you'll never get a single simple thing accomplished talking to her. read more
