I love Pilates Heartcore…read more I've been to five classes so far - two private, one virtual, and two group - and have been led by five different instructors. Each class was wonderful, as was each instructor. I'm new to Pilates - before Heartcore I had only gone to/done two studio classes fifteen years ago + a few YouTube (mat) Pilates videos over the years - so I was very nervous starting out. Each instructor made me feel welcome and very supported. In addition, when I first started taking classes, I spoke with Katie, the owner of the studio, over email many times (to schedule classes), and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. The studio itself is spacious and very clean (including the bathrooms). Also, Heartcore has no "surprises" - something I very much appreciate; all policies are posted on their website, so everything that prospective + current students need to know is there. People may need to set reminders for themselves about things - an upcoming class they registered for, the need to bring grippy socks to class (which they do sell in the studio), when to cancel your registration to a class if you won't be able to make it, etc. - but that is to be expected at almost every establishment/business. I've been a member here for just about a month, and I don't foresee myself ending my membership anytime soon (barring a faraway move or something). I look forward to each class, and I'm so excited to keep going. I love this studio!

This studio is a complete 180 degrees from what I am was used to and is fantastic. All of the instructors are welcoming, encouraging and often time funny. They have helped me on my recovery journey immensely and I will continue with this studio far into the future.

I'm ready for a shower and bed now! I had the great pleasure of attending a Hot Sculpt Yoga class…read moretonight for an Elite Yelp event, but I was a bit nervous walking into the room. I've only done Yoga once and it was over 10 years ago. I haven't even worked out in about 5 years either! I was very excited to try something different tonight and I'm so glad I went! I challenged myself to do everything Terri T was showing us and I've never sweated so much in my life! I didn't feel out of place or embarrassed and it was a great feeling walking out of there knowing I had pushed myself to try something new. What a great relaxing evening! Thank you for the hospitality! You've gained a new fan and I will definitely be back!

Yoga is the only form of fitness I do and this class is one I'd take again…read more LOCATION: Inside of California Fitness on the second floor. DECOR: Outside the yoga room door was a waiting area that was a little different than the rest of the gym. Darker and cozier. The room itself was beautiful. Medium tone wooden floors with one mirrored wall, a hot and cool side of the room, and a warm cream colored curtain with warm white lights streaking intermittently downward. It was majestic! PRICE: The traditional cost of a membership which is around $40 a month DRINKS: We had fruit infused water which was refreshing. FOOD: There was fruit and crackers and chips and protein popcorn which was actually pretty good. STAFF: The check-in staff was great. Kind, friendly, and efficient. Teri, the Yoga instructor, was awesome! I loved her pace and rhythm. I was a nice workout. EXPERIENCE: From the moment I stepped in, I was treated like family. The welcome staff got us checked in easily and once the first class was finished, we would be admitted. The funny thing about this event is that the posting didn't say what type of yoga so I assumed it would be Vinyasa, but the class that went before mine was doing body sculpt yoga and it looks super intense. Then I found out that we were doing a vinyasa flow, but it was hot. Which is not a problem for me. I just like to know so I can prepare with the right attire. our class wasn't too bad. The other class came out looking like bad been locked inside the steam room for two days. LOL

I searched for a yoga class on MINDBODY and was only finding vinyasa or hot yoga (no shade, just not my vibe) and fusion was the only place offering a hatha/slow flow class. It was exactly what I needed! The teacher was very calm, she gave great instructions without talking too much. Through every asana she offered modifications and space to do what felt right in my body. If you're looking for a place to deeply tune into your body, definitely check out fusion!

I have officially completed three classes here, all booked through Classpass…read more - Slow Flow Yoga w/ Lori - Mindful Mellow Mix Yoga w/ Lorna - Mindful Mellow Mix Yoga w/ Wendy I have almost no experience with yoga and I'm not in the best physical shape, I'm a little overweight and sort of flexible. I have some background with working out, like strength training and I've played sports, but that's about it. Overall, highly recommend! I felt amazing after each of these classes. I felt much more limber and generally more calm. For every class, and every move, there were options to make it a bit easier and to account for injuries (which they ask you about before class). Logistics: The studio is located right off Arden and has tons of parking in the lot and along the quiet street. The building and entrance are easy to find. There is paperwork for your first session (very short, one page), so get there a few minutes early to get it done. They have a restroom and necessary equipment available for each class. I brought my own mat and yoga blocks, but used their blanket and pillow (forgot the official name). They ask that you remove your shoes and put them in a cubby before class along with other stuff you brought in. Cubbies are right inside the entrance, they are great at explaining all this. Two of my classes were late morning (9am & 11am) and one evening (6pm). Morning classes had between 4-6 people, but they also are recording an online class for folks at home (only the instructor is on camera, not the class). The evening class had about 11, but it was still insanely comfortable in the room. Customer Service & Vibe: AMAZING. I don't love doing new things because I oftentimes feel like I'm missing something or I won't get explanations and will have to stumble through. None of that nonsense here. They explained the paperwork and a brief overview of what to expect when I asked. Each instructor has asked if I am new to yoga and if I had any injuries, AND they baked that into their instruction! They also each checked in with me after the class to see how I was feeling. Overall Vibe was fantastic. No one made me feel bad for not knowing some of the language, the instructors made sure to include standard terms when describing the moves and how to do them, they even said things like "if you have a bad shoulder, do this instead.." so everyone is taken care of. The other people in the class were also very welcoming and kind. Class Description & Difficulty: *keep in mind, I'm new to this, so these descriptions are my best attempts as a complete newbie. Mindful Mellow Mix w/ Wendy: this class consisted of easier deep stretching, little to no complicated flows (when they go from one move to another to another), with a heavy focus on breathing and relaxation. I fricken loved it! This was my first class at this studio and it was a perfect introduction to yoga. Mindful Mellow Mix w/ Lorna: this class had a bit more movement and standing positions, a few flows that were easy to follow with plenty of room to modify or make it easier. This was an excellent follow up to the previous class. I genuinely enjoyed the option to make things more challenging, but there was no pressure at all. Slow Flow Yoga w/ Lori: this class had more flows, more challenging positions (both sitting and standing), the moves were a bit more complex but she walks you through them SO well and there were plenty of times I watched her do a move before I copied, and no one made me feel like I was going to slow. She also goes through the easiest version of a move and explains options to make it more challenging. There were a few moves I completely modified because I wasn't able to do them and I still felt so strong and limber after the class! She really gives you space to do what you can. I'll be going back to try a few more of their classes!
