The hosts were very kind to get us in with no reservations on a busy Friday night, our server was wonderful and well knowledgeable on the menu. I got the seafood risotto and my husband ordered the cheesesteak which were both so delicious. We wanted to try a pizza so we ended up sharing a simple margarita but the flavor was far from simple, definitely the best margarita pizza I've had. I was at the bar with my father. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful atmosphere, and the terrific service. I was served by a young man named Nick. He was great, very attentive, always predicting my next need. Food wise, it was fantastic, best burger I've ever had. I also tried some of my Dads brussels sprouts. Carmine's is a decent place in the area & has been there what feels like forever. Great for little kids. Pretty expensive, but I guess that's par for the course these days... It's not often you see a suburban pizza place with a full bar. If you haven't been to Carmine's in a while that's what you'll find. It was added as part of a remodel a year or two ago. So if you want, you can sit at the bar and order pizza by the slice along with your beer or drink. That's just what I did about 5 pm tonight. Two Victory Hop Devils and a large slice cost me 9 bucks and change. The slice was decent and the beer was cold. Both are a good thing. The happy hour crowd was just starting to trickle in. I perused the large menu and noted just about everything you would expect in a large pizza joint. There are plenty of booths here along with about twelve stools at the aforementioned bar. I had a nice time but trying a full meal will need to wait for another visit. For now I'll go with three stars and stop back again. read more

In the Trash Pizza ~ On May 15, 2023, we ordered an XL margherita pizza- 18". It came to $30. I wish I taken a picture of this pizza because it was so watery when it came out, but besides that it looked decent enough: fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella, a standard margarita. Unfortunately, it was disgusting. Absolutely horrible. The tomato sauce was sweet like they had dumped sugar into it. It's like when you make it too bitter so you try to fix it with sugar. It tasted like tomato frosting. The cheese had no flavor at all, they were just rubber discs placed on the pie. Had no salty, fatty profile like mozzarella has--waste of money and time. I still don't understand why it came to $30. I would've gladly paid that price if the pizza was even edible. The whole thing went in the trash. read more

Went here last weekend. Despite the fancy pictures and marketing reviews, the restaurant is in a strip mall between an Acme and Michaels. Carmine's attempted to go up scale but all we got was bad drinks and worse food. It was a terrible experience. The service was extremely slow with entrees coming out of the kitchen at varying times so that half of the party was done before the other half had their food. We started with pizzas that were underdone so much so that the dough was a floppy mess. The calamari was actually pretty good. However, the entrees were a disaster - the mushroom pasta was salted to the point of being inedible, the crab pesto was lacking in flavor, the cheesesteak was cold, the salmon looked like cat food and made our friend sick after eating it. To top it all off, the bartender forgot to put alcohol in one of the $17 signature cocktails. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. This place is a joke - we were embarrassed to bring our friends here. read more

I was very pleased with the pizza from Carmine's! I am surprised at the low ratings on Yelp from others though since I had such a good delivery experience. We ordered a plain cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. They arrived in a timely manner. Most importantly though, the pizza was delivered so fresh and hot as if it just came out of the oven. The cheese was stretchy as pizza cheese should be. My biggest pet peeve about pizza is when the cheese is stiff. Carmine's was absolutely not like this! In addition, the crust was cooked perfectly. It wasn't too dough-y or too hard. It was right in the middle. I normally don't eat pizza crust unless it's stuffed crust, but I actually really enjoyed their crust. We didn't finish both pies, so we refrigerated the left overs. I had the pizza cold a couple days later and it tasted great like this as well. I'll be ordering from here again very soon. We have been here MANY times. This place is great. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. It is extremely family friendly. They have 3-4 high chairs for your toddlers and offer crayons for them. Everytime we go, there were plently of families with small kids, for good reason! There are TVs on the wall to watch sports while you eat for the dads. There is a FULL BAR people - full BAR! They also have take out service and beer to go for pick up on the right side of the restaurant. The PIZZA is stellar!!! We had the meat lovers and it was amazing. Thin crust, tops of thinly sliced toppings. My toddler loves their kids spaghetti. Their menu goes on for days. You can get everything from wings, gyros, pizza, cheesesteak, subs, etc. If you are in the neighborhood - its a must try if you want something good and easy. I've never posted a bad review, but just had a rather alarming experience at this place. I walked in on a whim to order a pizza to take home for my family for lunch. Ordered a plain cheese pizza, nothing fancy. They guy behind the counter started out with his mask on and then proceeded to take it off before I'd finished ordering and paying. He said it would be about 10 or 15 minutes. No problem. I go next door to Michael's and come back 15 minutes later. Not ready. That's ok. Guy has no mask on at this point and is very busy fiddling with his earbuds. Not thrilled that he's got his hands all over things that go in his ears when he's prepping my food. 10 minutes later and still no pizza. I tell him I'll wait outside and he says it'll just be 2 or 3 more minutes. I come back in after a few minutes and he doesn't even look up. Still fiddling with his earbuds. Then, and I kid you not, I notice a HUGE COCKROACH crawling on his shirt/neck. That was enough for me. He says, "No, no it was just big fly!" Ummm....that would be bad enough but no, it was a COCKROACH. He offered me my money back which I took and booked out of there. Wear your damned mask when there are customers in your establishment and I'm hoping health inspectors check this place out, because I'm still recovering from the sight of a giant cockroach crawling on that guy. I always order delivery on a Saturday night . Every time they say 45 minutes and an hour and a half later my pizza and wings arrive cold and soggy. I will not be ordering from Carmines again.
