When I put in my order the person was very rude. Judging by the lack of responses I'm assuming they don't take their customer's opinions seriously. The shop itself is interesting in a good way but beyond that it's a terrible experience. The burger looks and tastes like cheap premade frozen burgers. The fries I'm convinced are McDonald's and they just reheat them since they are incredibly soggy and greasy, and just look at the picture of them can't convince me otherwise.

Fun selection of high-end specialty groceries and local products. They had a pretty extensive bread section, as well as prepared food, alcohol, and a butcher counter. plus free samples!

This is a good looking store and the northland is lucky to have them. They offer local meat, seafood and eggs, cheeses, cooking-finishing oils, wine-liquor, kitchens stamples and more. A Culinarian delight. You can also buy frozen meats and some items on sale. I bought cold smoked brat (2) $3.36, Chicken Kiev (1) $5.92 and Pork Eye of Round $5.60

What a really cool concept, a butcher shop that also has prepared meals, as well as some hot menu items made there. What a great addition to Briarcliff, and located next to one of my favorite happy hour spots (Barrio). I absolutely love utilizing Too Good To Go here and buying mystery bags of products to cook with or premade meal options, they offer three categories. The bakery bag always contains some bread which they offer a good amount of varieties. But, nothing beats a fresh baguette. The bagel chips here are from sourced from Ibis bakery and they're the perfect vehicle for dips and spreads. They also have a tucked away display case of discounted meats and meals that are 33% off so, if you are about to cook it the day of it's a great option if you're on a budget. The selection of local goods is superior and the layout is easy to walk around and see what you are shopping for. Some of my favorite prepared meals I've purchased are the Beef Bacon Mac and Cheese and the French bread open faced pizza with mushrooms and pesto. The price point is definitely splurgey but "real food costs real money" and I don't mind paying for a gourmet butcher shop experience. Speaking of butcher shop, let's talk meat. I've tried some sausages as well as, a bison steak. The sausage wasn't my favorite flavor profile because it was a pork cream and cinnamon and was a little sweet but funky for me. But, the bison steak was absolutely delicious seared for a few minutes on each side in garlic butter. I also can recommend any of the soups that use duck broth because they are divine.

Kansas City friends, run, don't walk to this establishment. Let's start with the decor: gorgeous, cozy, and tastefully executed--the perfect backdrop for a top-notch dining experience. The staff is personable and warm, and Brandon (the sous chef) was an absolute delight to speak with and learn from. He is truly passionate about oysters and a consummate chef, paying such close attention to the finer details of how to truly enjoy the marvels he flies in fresh to his restaurant. The food: wow. Oysters were as beautiful as they were varied and delicious; jamon iberico de bellota (this was the real deal, by the way) that transported me back to Catalunya; a panko-breaded halibut dish with mashed potatoes and some of the most vibrant collared greens I've ever eaten. EVERYTHING was delivered with such precision and beauty, and the flavors were from another planet. The experience: as good as it gets. Thank you to The Parker Hollow team for an unforgettable culinary adventure!

Or is a cozy bar with comfy chairs, warm lighting and a full menu more your style? No problem - The Parker Hollow is here, AND it has a terrific menu, too! While I had the fisherman's stew (rich, decadent broth, loaded with seafood goodies - no measly Midwestern "here's your requisite two suffering shrimp" here), maybe seafood isn't your thing. And that's okay, because my husband had the Wagyu beef burger just to ease your concerns, and he said it was absolutely fabulous. Or at least his empty plate did. For dessert we suffered through the orange blossom saffron olive oil cake. You read that right - all of those words belong there, in that order. And by "suffer," I obviously mean our usually pretty chill marriage was tested by Who Would Get the Last Bite. It was that flipping good. And rich, and weird. But it was the perfect compliment to our dinner, as was his drink (I cannot remember what it was called, but it tasted like key lime pie and sunshine). We will definitely be back!

We love to slow down, enjoy the atmosphere and each other's company. We love that it doesn't echo, voices aren't carrying, and we can hold a conversation with each other while great music plays in the background. It's a small business, black owned, family owned (BossLady!!), and family working on site. I find being flexible and enjoying the amazzzzzing shrimp is worth it. Next time, they'll have what you think you need, or you'll find a new favorite. Restaurant Week is tough on small business participants, especially with the RW parameters and requirements, but we remained flexible and found a new favorite. It looked like many new customers were really excited to be there, and it's about the busiest I've seen it when we have been in. We dined during Restaurant Week, and ordered the Burnt Ends and Garlic Butter Shrimp. The Burnt Ends were SOOOO tender, and the flavor of the meat really shined, especially for a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Mac and Cheese is always good! But the garlic butter shrimp......I could eat that all day. The cheesesticks were delicious and the lemon cake dessert! We've also had the BOSS item on the menu, perfect fried shrimp, perfect air fried real potato fries, lemon pepper shrimp, corn on the cob, and we love them all, no complaints! Have patience, give Grace. The young people are very nice, quiet and kind. We've met at least 3 of the family who work in the front. They are really sweet and trying to do their best for you. I'm so glad to see them there!! These are the kind of businesses that I like to support and I think others should, too. Are you getting the best seafood in the city, the metro, and for hundreds of miles any direction? YES, you are. Are some young people working their family's hard fought business instead of doing what most people assume young people are doing?? YES. Owners that LOVE what they do....making people happy with their food, while doing what they love? YES! Those are the things that matter, and this restaurant deserves to be famous for the seafood, based on taste alone. And the young people will grow up, and they'll be better for having worked in the family business. Let's SUPPORT ownership, family employees and think beyond our tiny box.

We got there right at the time they open (11 am), and they were not finished setting up for the day and had us wait while they finished. We said it was no problem, but it was so long that it became frustrating. If you open at 11, that means open and ready for customers, not still setting up. Our waitress, however, was very nice and explained how the menu works. She brought us water, but it was terrible - by terrible, I mean country water with that weird metallic taste. Our waitress said she knew and that it was just how Gladstone water is - my husband agrees. Anyway, we ordered one of the boil bags with crab legs and shrimp. It came our pretty quickly and they did provide bibs and wet wipes and there were napkins on the table, so we could use as many as we wanted. Our waitress opened our bag for us and dumped it into the waiting tray. They have buckets on the table for all the shells and other trash. We did wear our bibs and said we would only have this meal with certain people because it is messy!! It was the crab legs that made it messy - if I went with someone else I would probably have shrimp (awesome) and sausage (didn't try, but I bet it's good). The shells of the crab legs were a bit soft, which our waitress asked us about. She said they have a new chef, so she was happy to provide some coaching. The place is way bigger on the inside than it appears from the front. Plenty of seating. I definitely recommend checking it out!!
