Such a cute coffee shop. Located in the old post office, it splits its space with the Medicine Shoppe, though the coffee shop has more room. There are tables, counters along the windows, benches against one wall, a siting area with books, and another private-er sitting area. That's just on the main floor. There's also a loft where you can reserve rooms for meetings and where they host yoga sessions on the first and third Sunday of the month. The barista told me there was an art opening there, which I'm assuming will be a regular happening as well. Now, the barista. He was fantastic. Mark, I believe is his name, was very helpful. I told him it was my first time there and I'm not picky, though I usually go for plain coffee. He suggested adding salted caramel syrup to the dark roast; he did not let me down. It was fragrant, flavorful, and satisfied my afternoon sweet attack without being "too much." He also told me the history of the building, gave me menus and cards to take home, and then came over to my table to offer more info after I sat down. Very personable and A+ service from him. The manager, though, left a lot to be desired. He walked around with his phone glued to his hands (and practically his nose) and didn't seem to be doing much of anything but text/play games. He walked by someone standing at the counter waiting for service and I didn't even hear a greeting, even though I was fairly close to them. Thankfully, Mark was a step behind him - no doubt used to that! Next time I'd like to try some delicious-looking pastries or a sandwich that they make fresh while you wait - there's a huge menu of bistro-style offerings. I'm dying to try the grilled PB&J. I believe they also have salads and soups and grab-and-go options if you are unable to wait. If I lived closer, this would be a contender for "my new spot." I went to the opening and have been enchanted since then. Why? The CCC is right in the town centre, there is plenty of parking and you get into this amazing, historical building with fantastic natural light. Big windows, great interior design and lots of unique corners to hide or seats to sit and mingle. You can come to work, read, or even bring little ones to play on carpet. I love, love the book corner and whatever I saw there on the shelf. That's art in itself right there. Leave a book to have an impact on your community. The atmosphere is so lovely, because this Kaffeehaus is treated like a comfy, welcoming home. Fresh flowers, comfortable armchairs and great color coordination. Forget Starbucks or CTR - they are cold, music is blaring and in a way, they don't really want you to stay. Last but not at least: beautiful open coffee bar, marble countertop, historic old pieces from post office, best Italian illy coffee and snacks and treats that go beyond what you can expect. This place is awesome. My mother has raved about this place for a long time, so off we went. I've been there three times. The first time Emily made me an awesome mocha while Robin was perfect. Then the next day two other ladies were there. Today I went back. There was one lady working. She was way less friendly than the other four. I assume her name starts with an "A" given the signature of my frequent flyer card. She seemed off put because there was a line of maybe 4 people. My first visit but after all that great reviews I am disappointed. I come here for a latte and wifi. The machine is not working so I ordered an iced coffee instead. I had danish and its cold not warmed up. The wifi is not working at all. Even though the staff are friendly and the place is nice. I've been here a few times to meet up with friends. Right now they do ask you to wear a mask upon entry, but once you sit down you may take it off. There's some outdoor seating and lots of indoor seating. This place is so cute and cozy! Upstairs there is plenty of space to meet for breakfast or lunch with friends, or often times you may come and see people meeting for business or doing work on their computers. I really loved their cold brew coffee and their variety of breakfast sandwiches they offered. They have some pastries too that looked really good. Parking is easy to find and you usually have to pay with the meter feeder, but today it was free! Can't wait to return! read more

I held my sister's bridal shower here today and it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff was so easy to work with, made menu modifications for us, had a beautiful and delicious spread of food. The place basically decorated itself and little was needed to make it feel charming and delightful. If you are looking to host any sort of party, consider them. My friend and I decided to take a girls trip to Pittsburgh and NYC back in July. We had an afternoon of shopping in Pittsburgh and wanted a little pick-me-up, so we checked out Carnegie Coffee Company! This place is seriously SO COOL. I believe the establishment used to be an old post office so the design of the coffee house is very unique. Lots of vintage furniture that you can cozy up with your tea/coffee and read a good book! We went during the week so it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and the prices were very affordable (you don't have to pay $5 bucks for a latte like at Starbucks!). This is my go-to coffee place in the area! Prices are great compared to most coffee shops. Usually just stick to basic iced coffee sometimes order food. Iced coffee is very good! The breakfast and lunch sandwiches I've tried have always been good. Been here at least 50 times by now. Service is always fast and friendly whether your just grabbing coffee on the go or posting up for a couple hours to hangout and do some work. Personally the worst coffee experience I've ever had ever. I asked for a traditional Italian latte, which was in the menu for 5.99, and the cashier "Mark" said that I have to pay "tax" on the coffee. I really wanted to like this place - it has a cute and cozy vibe to it and I always hear good things about it. The first time I went there, it had around 12 people scattered throughout the building so I understood I would sit there waiting for awhile. I got "the Carnegie" sandwich, and I have to say it was disappointing. It was not aesthetically pleasing, the onion to bread ratio was off and for being named after the town itself, I guess I just expected too much. In my most recent visit, it seemed like everything went wrong. I ordered a "veggie panini" and a spiced sage latte. I thought I might try the "farm-fresh Apple" as a side. To my disappointment, it was a dusty apple on the countertop. The sandwich was as thin as a piece of cardboard and had no redeeming qualities - and tbh, was not worth the price I paid for it. What felt like eons later, I received my latte. Not once did I mention decaf or skim milk (what would be the point of getting a latte?) But that's what was given to me. When I approached the counter to request my actual drink, the two men running the bar just glanced at me and continued working on what they were doing. When the third employee finally came around the corner, I was able to grab her attention. When they finally remade my latte, I watched the guy come over and realize he had forgotten to put the syrup in and went to add it to the top. As a former barista, I know that this very much alters the drink. I had ordered the same latte earlier in the week and enjoyed it, and this was definitely not the same taste. To add to the experience, my roomate also received an incorrect order. I try to support local businesses, but it's back to Starbucks for me. read more

I asked my husband to find me a coffee shop between the airport and the city and he picked Carnegie Coffee Company. Like everyone says, it's in an old Post Office. Inside, it is huge, one of the biggest independent coffee shops I've been in. I came early in the morning on a weekday, and it was very quiet (people wise) at first but gradually filled up and became hoppin' and boppin' and pretty packed with people. There are two levels, and within the downstairs, there are lots of nooks and different areas. It's quite the opposite of a vast rectangle. There are easy chairs, tables, couches: lots of options. They use the Italian terms for their espresso drinks, which is a nice touch. I ordered an 8oz white mocha and it was excellent. The underlying espresso was well made. The milk froth was rich and thick. It had a well-blended, well-rounded warm flavor that was not too sweet. read more

Beautiful space, large enough to find a comfy seat but separated into little nooks with various seating types so you can have a quiet conversation, read a book, or meet for a work engagement. Had a latte with almond milk and a touch of honey -- tasted great but I wish they offered local honey, especially since they are a local business and could easily support a local honey maker. Great to see they offer some pastries made at a local bakery. They offer some really nice breakfast and lunch sandwich combinations with options for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. I just wish they tried to offer some organic, hormone-free, and/or locally-sourced ingredients for some items like eggs, meats, cheeses, and/or veggies. Carnegie Coffee Company is my spot! I love it there. They have refurbished the old post office. Comfortable seating, decent Wi-Fi and great coffee and tea. Love it! I have also tried a variety of their assorted pastries. Delicious. They also do sandwiches, salads, and have a soup of the day. They turkey sandwich on a croissant is beyond amazing. Fresh ingredients and prepared quickly I love it. Service is ALWAYS friendly and efficient. It can get quite busy and the comfortable seating can be a hard to come by, but there isn't a bad seat in the house. They also have a great upstairs. I like to come and work here on the weekends. Good bones The place is bright and beautiful. There's a good selection of different kinds of seating, including some comfy low-slung armchairs for reading. This could be a five-star cafe with one big and two easy changes. Big: the coffee is bland Illy stuff, basically K-cups on tap. The space deserves third-wave coffee. Easy, but very important: 1. the WiFi is terrible, *when* it works, which is not often. 2. The vast majority of the seating is not in range of a power outlet. I have not tried the food. read more
