I'm new to town and have been missing my favorite carnitas spot from back home. I looked up this restaurant online and decided to give them a try after seeing all the great reviews. I'm happy to say they did not disappoint! The carnitas here are extremely flavorful and moist. I could not stop eating. The tortillas and salsa they serve with the carnitas (when you order carnitas by the pound) are also amazing and fresh. The staff were also welcoming, friendly, and explained everything well. Tried this spot on Door Dash then a few days later decided to come in and try out in person. Customer service was super friendly. Food was delicious. Decor is nice. Prices are fair. I like that the torta ahogada (or wet torta) has a small spicy kick to it. read more

The staff was friendly and patient with my bf and I, as it took us a while to decide what to get. We ended up with the family pack of 4lbs mixed, chicharron and guac. The guac wasn't really like the picture, it was a thinner consistency than all mashed avocado. We ordered a large, but the container it came in seemed smaller and it was different than that on display. The chicharron was hot and fresh. I thought the rice and beans could use a little salt, but no biggie. I ordered extra curtido which was picked onions. It didn't have much flavor. The red salsa had a bitter flavor. The green salsa was ok. The carnitas itself was good. I liked the buche. It wasn't super oily. The finding area was cute and I liked the hanging decorations. It was clean, too. read more

Family decided to try this restaurant based on good things we heard from friends. Very clean restaurant with excellent service. Son got the California Breakfast burrito, wife got a wet asada Burrito with green sauce (Burrito Ahogado), and I got a pound of three different types of carnita meats (Carnitas por Libra). All the dishes were well liked and VERY filling. My carnitas order came with six handmade tortillas. The carnitas I had were very moist and had a great taste. I'm a carnita lover, especially with buché. My husband and I went by there just before closing and ordered 2 lbs of the carnita mixed with buché. Oh my goodness, it's hands down one of the best carnitas I've had as well. The meat was tender to perfection, the pork skins was gelatinous oh salty goodness, and the buché was oh so yummy tender. They even packed warmed tortillas and pickled red onions for us. This place is good. Mom and Pop place with a little higher ambience than most such places. Sitting in the dining area you notice that thought went into every detail of this restaurant (cloth napkins!). The owners have been turning out their specialty carnitas for years and everything down to the presentation is top notch yet still reasonably priced. I compare this place to a taco truck not a four star restaurant. As such, it is very good. Pros: fish tacos delicious, carnitas delicious, and corn tortillas tasty. Cons: $31 for two dishes, asked to make sure there were salsas, said yea but only one. Also when ordering online they add $1 service charge and default to a 20% tip. Menu mostly pork.
