I will start this review by saying that I have only had North Carolina BBQ twice. I'm not really a fan of Pulled Pork basted with vinegar. My wife had never tried Southern BBQ, so we gave it a try. This place stays pretty darn busy, so there are plenty of people that like this place and their food. We agreed that we are not fans. The Fried Chicken was good and so was the fried shrimp. The Hush Puppies were just ok. Same with the Corn Sticks. Too doughy- we all agreed that we have had better ones. The Potato Salad was ok and the Cole Slaw had good flavor but was to finally chopped versus other Cole Slaws that I have had that have more texture versus the one served here. They provide a fair amount of food and the prices were reasonable. The wait staff was pretty attentive, helpful and friendly. If you like Southern BBQ - give them a shot.

Still yummy! Stop by on a saturates visiting a local lumber mill. Service still fast and friendly. I still don't care for the vinegary no mayo slaw, buts that me.

Stop in for lunch at 11:30 on a Saturday. Note that there was a posting that prices had just gone up due to increasing cost.I posted photos of the menu so you can see. Honestly, my expectations were low, and they well over delivered with a delicious lunch. The hush puppies were perhaps the best that I've ever eaten. The Eastern Carolina style barbecue was moist, flavorful, accompanied by green beans, and a good tasting potato sala. The fried flounder was cooked nicely. The staff was incredibly friendly. My experience was excellent, and the food was fresh, tasty, and hot. The total price for 2 lunches with 2 drinks and a tip was $31. I look forward to going back when I am more hungry so I can try to get to dessert.

Turkey bbq sandwich did not disappoint. It reminds me of home " that eastern Carolina "'flavor. It was so good, I ate it while driving .

New Dimensions Fellowship Christian Church of Burlington NC closed our doors to attend Glorious Church of Raleigh for their Conference Weekend 10/29/23 and after our Dynamic Bishop Fed us with the Word we went to Carolina BBQ of Garner for the country eating. All I can say this Party of 15 is still talking about how we threw down in there and how great the food & service was once it got started. Atmosphere was comfortable. The waitress was very patient and pleasant. We'll be back very soon.

We did takeout. My wife had flounder. The portion was generous and cooked perfectly. My fried chicken was excellent. The prices were great.

The chocolate brownie is thick and rich, but not too sweet, and the marshmallow cream is divine, especially with the ice cream. A lot of their drinks and gin based, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but I always find something I can enjoy. The service is great and relatively quick, and everyone I've met there is kind and willing to help. The inside is a bit small, so smaller crowds are better and it does tend to get crowded later in the evening and on weekends. The outside street sitting area is nice too and hopefully will be fully fixed soon. Overall a great places to stop for drinks and desserts after a nice meal! And the menu rotates seasonally so you'll always have the chance to try something new!

We were honestly a little overwhelmed by all the options, but he gave us an extremely thoughtful and knowledgeable walk-through of the menu, helped us narrow down drinks, and absolutely crushed the recommendations. The desserts were great, the drinks were even better, but Brandon was easily the highlight of our experience. He was kind, helpful, sharp, and clearly knew exactly what he was talking about. Five stars all around. We'll definitely be back.

The cupcakes were unbelievably moist, and the frosting was so light, creamy, and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. They disappeared so quickly that I didn't even get a chance to take any pictures! After trying the cupcakes, I checked out their social media and saw they offer a wonderful variety of desserts. I also learned that their cakes are made by pre-order, and after tasting these cupcakes, I'll definitely be keeping them in mind for future birthdays and celebrations. Pricy, but comparable to similar shops. Check the mail for coupons. It's never too cold outside for ice cream in NC! I saw an ad for Scoop Dogz and decided to check it out. Even on a chilly November day, I was craving ice cream. This shop is located two doors down from Aversboro Restaurant. It's in a plaza with ample parking. The entrance is on the left and exit door on the right. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a welcoming employee. She smiled and asked if I wanted to try any of the flavors. She patiently waited as I looked through the flavors and menu options. The sundae suggestions sounded so good, particularly the ice cream and cookie dough combos. After much deliberation, I decided on two sundaes. Since they were out of some of the flavors I swapped the chocolate for peppermint and the caramel ice cream for butter pecan. The sundaes were delicious and well balanced. I especially loved the combination of edible cookie dough with ice cream. Not just small chunks but a whole scoop of cookie dough. Their flavors rotate so be sure to look at the display case rather than the printed menus. They also serve ice cream from Homeland creamery. The shop has a few seats inside along with a freezer stocked with pre-packed pints and a free to play Pac-Man game. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this ice cream shop to others!

The drink menu is huge, and it's clearly geared more toward flavored latte lovers than coffee purists. If you like creative, dessert-style drinks, you'll have plenty to choose from. Drinks: I ordered a cortado, but it came out more like a breve. Not a big deal, but not quite what I was expecting. I also tried The Alchemist -- an iced latte with white chocolate, English toffee, and raspberry. It was enjoyable, but definitely flavor-forward, with the syrups taking center stage more than the espresso. Food: This is where the place really shines. I ordered the chicken biscuit with Sriracha hot honey, and it was excellent. Crispy chicken, a great biscuit, and the sweet heat from the sauce tied everything together perfectly. Overall: If you're looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot with lots of fun drink options, No Filter is a solid choice.
