They have pretty solid donuts. Comparable to NC Jelly Donuts out in Mebane/Burlington area. I've never been disappointed by the donuts here. Good selection usually and a decent assortment of fillings. The coffee sucks though. I don't know what the deal is with bakeries and donut places but they all have lousy coffee. This isn't really an indictment of this place. Get the donuts to go and get a drink somewhere else. read more

This shop will custom fill the donuts with your choice is filling and there is definitely options to pick from. But this perk was offset by the fact that the donuts weren't fresh. Baker's Dozen will do the same thing as this place and their donuts are SO much fresher and delicious! read more

The "Coming Soon" sign featured in the window for a year, while inquiries posted to the business' Facebook page lingered unanswered. The Page Road exit office workers gradually lost hope and satisfied themselves with a longer drive to Rise Morrisville for a donut fix. Then this week, I spotted it: a Grand Opening banner. Its appearance magically dawning with my diet "cheat day," I chose not to question the alignment of the stars and wasted no time getting myself to their display case on a Friday evening. The store felt a little bare -- no customers, no music, and judging by the sparsity in the case, they'd already sold out of much of their offering. What remained were primarily yeast donuts topped with icings, sprinkles, and coconut flakes. More of a cake donut gal, I opted to get a dozen donut holes -- 1/2 chocolate, 1/2 blueberry. The gal who rang me up opened the white paper bag to show a complimentary glaze which was advertised as the grand opening special, but also that she'd tossed in nearly another dozen donut holes -- both strawberry and plain glazed -- along with it. I was delighted with this surprise! I popped a few on my drive home and was most impressed with the chocolate which has real rich cocoa-y flavor. For the amount of sweets I got, it also seemed like an incredible value (just $2.60). It's a bit hard to judge based on opening week and the small selection I was able to try; I'd give it 3.5 stars at this visit. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Granted, I go at strange times so I worry about their business because they always seem empty. The cases are always stocked with doughnuts and the staff is always super friendly. Often, they'll throw in a few doughnut holes around off-peak hours to sweeten the deal. The location is great (maybe unhealthy) as it's on the way home from work in Morrisville. Let's talk business: this place has the best apple fritter I've ever eaten in my life. I can't tell if they're straight out of the fryer when I'm getting them because they're not warm, but the exterior is so crisp and the apple flavor is mild, but sweet. The glaze is sweet, but not toothache sweet. I highly recommend them. Just leave two for me if you see they're running low. Every other doughnut in the case is delicious. Honestly, my only gripe is they don't sell milk. They could have gotten a lot more business out of me today if they'd had milk for sale. Krispy Kreme does it, and I usually sit for a while there and buy multiple doughnuts. They're missing a golden opportunity. But guys, if that's my biggest gripe, then go get some doughnuts here. Top notch fresh donuts. Great selection of more traditional donuts (not the fancy $5 a piece donuts....I dont much care for those). They also have a few machines that can fill your donut with various fillings (frosting, cream, jelly, etc) if you prefer a filled donut! Very cool. Prices are reasonable. They also have several flavors of donut holes (munchkins) they sell by the dozen. Limited selection of beverages would be their only downfall....they do have a few coffee choices and a single cooler with some drinks in it. Overall, excellent donut shop! I will be back! read more

I wasn't aware of the free donut promo and didn't get one (I didn't need it but afterwards I was sad LOL). Pretty good donuts. Even though they seem of the same variety as Bakers Dozen, they are slightly different. I was in the RTP area and had a craving for donuts. This place is tucked in a shopping center with different businesses. The donuts are good and fresh. I also think the size of the donuts are substantial. I think it's probably in a good location to serve most of RTP. Donuts are always a good alternative to biscuits in my opinion as long as they are accompanied by coffee. My favorite is the apple fritter and it's big enough to share. This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away in an unassuming plaza off of Miami Blvd., this shop has an amazing assortment of donuts. You can make your own filled donuts with an assortment of fillings and they also sell assorted pastries like bear claws, twists etc. Although we've had an array of gourmet donut shops pop up int he Triangle area, this place stands apart - fresh, fast and a great value. Plus they're open all hours of the day. Very convenient for picking up a dozen if you're working in the RTP. read more

Growing up in Boston, I'm a cake donut fan (of the Dunkin Donuts variety). While I LOVE donuts, Krispy Kreme is basically the last on my list of acceptable donuts to eat because they're incredibly light, and exceptionally sweet. I feel like I overload on sugar with nothing of substance. I ordered a dozen donuts from Carolina Glazed Donuts to bring to work last week and was a bit scared to see that the majority of their donuts appear to be the light, airy donut variety. However- and this is a big however- these donuts are incredible. While they are fluffy and airy inside, they're substantial. A few can fill you up. They have some amazing flavors and variety, but stick with more classic kinds instead of the fancy "boutique" flavors of the hippy donut shops popping up around town (I don't knock those, but they can be pricey). I recommend the crumb cake-like donut. It was amazing. They do also have a few cake donuts which did not disappoint. If you're into fillings, you can choose an eclair-type donut and choose from different fillings to fill it with, either fruit or cream based. Prices were reasonable and staff was friendly. I definitely recommend this place to any donut lover. read more

I had a sudden urge for jelly donuts the last few days and tried a few different donut shops in the area. Their donut was the best by far. They stuffed the jelly into the donut right when I ordered it. Their display case showed a tremendous variety and they all looked great. The only downside to the shop was their coffee service. The coffee tasted a little old and probably was made a few hours earlier. No milk or cream available, only prepackaged artificial lighteners. Other than that, a terrific place for donuts. The glaze isn't sickeningly sweet and the donuts aren't swimming in a pool of glaze. Bonus: when available expect to find in your box of donuts donut holes free of charge. The donuts are great, however, they run out of many of the flavors before half of the day is over, and they don't make more. Bad for BUSINESS. If you open at 6:30 am, most of the donuts should not be gone by 11am if you stay open until 7-7:30. As I said before, the donuts taste great when I'm able to get some, but this is a major turn off from this place and I may just continue going to Main Street Grille in Wake Forest as they also have great tasting homemade donuts and variety of other great tasting foods. read more
