Tonight after a fantastic concert, my friend and I chose a wings place over near the Lowe's grocery store in Lexington only to find that we had no service and no one ever came to ask us for a drink after 15 minutes so we decided to take a trip over to Carolina wings and we immediately got service from Carlos who has been exceptional! We ordered lunch from here and we were charged dinner prices. We called and spoke to a manager about it, but was greeted with a rude and short "oh I'm sorry". Would not recommend this restaurant. The lunch specials were $7.99 and they charged us $16-$20 a person! That is outrageous! $16 for a "fish" plate? You can get fresh fish for cheaper. We will most definitely not be back. A company that charges you double the price, is not a company worth going to. No wonder why they went out of business a couple of years ago. It's bar food. Don't expect more and you won't be disappointed. It's not great food but for 10 bucks you get a decent burger or sandwich. Wings are good enough too. What makes this place is the staff, particularly the bartender who works the outside area. I came with my 13 yo son and his friend tonight and he went out of his way to see we were taken care of. I will happily give my money for average food at a fair price when I am treated like a VIP. To the owner, give him a raise. read more

If you like perfectly cooked chicken wings and perfectly cooked raw fries - they seem to be the only ones that can do them semi-floppy on demand anymore - then this place is for you. i eat here about once a month or so and it is always consistently prepared. draft beer selection is beyond adequate. anybody who has a gripe otherwise doesn't read the sign -these are the best chicken wings you'll find in S.C. period. read more

During my visit to this restaurant, I was in need of warm water for a baby bottle. I asked the waitress and she brought back cold water so, I walked to the bar which only had 2 guest, to ask for a cup of warm water. After sitting back down at my table the manager Tara came up to me and said very rudely "you know you don't have to go to the bar to order your beer. You waitress Alyssa can do that". I obviously let her know I wasn't ordering a beer. She was very rude and had an attitude. I will not be back. read more

Used to be one of our favorite places to go, then became Daddy Mac's, now back to Carolina Wings. We went there when they became Daddy Mac's with my wife and 6 year old son and they put us in a booth across from the bar where some middle aged bartender guy with grey hair was hitting on the waitresses and telling them how he charges food to idiot customers without them knowing it. Assuming he didn't think we could hear him bc he was dropping curse words left and right. About the time I was getting ready to go to the bar to confront him about his language, he went to the kitchen not to be seen again. We went back after they became Carolina Wings only to see the same d-bag in there. We ate the dry wings and left not to go back again. Bring back the old way Carolina Wings used to be and fire the loser I'm referring to and maybe we'll give it another shot. read more

Do yourself a big favor and pass this one up. My wife and I went here for lunch on a Sunday. First time coming here in a very long time. The place had a few guest but is was maybe 20% occupied. I always hate it when there is a wide open restaurant they they take us to "the booth in the back in the corner in the dark" they could not have seated us at a worse seat in my opinion. All that aside, .. so now we get a waitress, actually two of them to greet us. My wife has an extremely small appetite so the best thing on the menu for her was the Chili because everything else was just too much food. When she was about tot place her order she asked if the chili was spicy, and the waitress told us she did not know, she was new. Ooook, so my wife said well I will go ahead oand order it anyways, and the waitress said what was it again? Wow.. I love these 16 year olds they hire! We both had a water, and I decided I would try the Sunday buffet. I gathered some food from the buffet and my wife had t wait about 10-15 minute for her Chili. Everything I tried from the buffet was borderline cold, there is no possible way they could pass a health inspection like that, The closest thing I had to hot was the chicken winds and they were barely luke warm. It was awful, everything i tried ....all of it was awful. My wife's chili was so full of grease she could not eat it, it was pools of grease on top of it. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she said "yeah I get it, would you like your check?" So when she brought the check my wife was sitting there waiting for it with credit card in hand, and rather than take it, she left us for another 10 minutes until we got tired of waiting, and just left cash on the table and left. **Note to the restaurant management**... Try keeping the food hot, and if you are going to hire 16 year old girls to be your waitresses, try mentoring and monitoring how they treat guests... this was just ridiculous. We definitely will not return for a second helping of lousy service and greasy cold food. read more

This place is falling apart! The booth seat was not only torn but was coming off its base. The carpet on the floor feels like walking on fly paper. Bathrooms are nasty and smell like urine. Based on that I will not be returning to this location. If their kitchen looks anything like their dining room it a wonder they haven't been shut down read more

Our family has given this place the benefit of the doubt one too many times. We won't be back. Consistently poor service. No hostess to greet you and servers walk by you as if you're not their responsibility. This has happened on most visits, including our last. Once seated, it didn't get much better. Order was taken (not written down), drinks served. Appetizer of chips and salsa for $4 was a joke. A tiny cup of generic salsa with plate of chips. Next foible was about 10 minutes later the server says they're out of the wing sauce we requested. When the food finally comes, we're served regular wings rather than the boneless wings ordered. Server realized her mistake, apologized, but we didn't want to wait any longer to eat. (We were also served the ranch dressing instead of the bleu cheese ordered.) When the check came we were charged for the boneless wings ($1 more). The server asked if we wanted it changed, but again, rather than wait on CW to make things right, we took it out of her tip. A server shouldn't even ask such a thing, in my opinion. Make it right and if you ever want a repeat customer, compensate for your mistakes. read more

Went about 5:45 on Saturday. Service was terrible. Waited for at least 30 minutes to get food. Server kept forgetting out drinks, entered one order completely wrong, then once we got food delivered it was cold. Found out from manager that when server entered one order in as to-go, they boxed up all of our food. Then manager offered apologies and a dessert. We declined but asked to get one drink taken off checks. That was not done either so we had to wait for corrected checks. I ordered SW chicken quesadilla with fries. Fries we cold and quesadilla was nothing better than what I could make at home and I would use better chicken. One friend ordered a cheeseburger with no bun and fries. Her burger was cold as well and fries were ok. Another friend ordered a smoked chicken wrap that barely had any sauce on it and she had to pull it apart to eat it. They have got to pick up the level of service here and the quality of food. If they were that bad on a Saturday afternoon without much business, how do they expect to keep up once football starts? My husband and I stopped for wings I was excited because he is from the north and I was convinced that some god old southern fried wings would be the best he ever had. Well the first sign of how good your wings are would be the blue cheese and dance. If I had a wing establishment that boasted the name Carolina Wing House, I would surely put effort into having homemade ranch and Blue cheese for starters. He ordered 12 plain wings with the sauce on the side I had mine with honey hot on the wings and we ordered fried mushroom appetizer. The mushrooms were plentiful and fried well but lacked any form of seasoning. The wings were fried to death. To the point of them being dry and chewy and seemed to come directly from the bag to the oil to the plate, not one bit of seasoning. No salt nothing. We each ordered different sauces however they seemed to taste the same vinegary with hot sauce. Needless to say the wings were terrible and very overpriced. My husband also ordered a Long Island ice tea with pine apple juice and it was purely pineapple juice not even a whiff of liquor. Unfortunately we will not be returning even though we just moved to Lexington and it is right around the corner. read more

How can you not rate this place 5 stars. First off I came from Florida hoping to find a really great wing place because houligans was my fave down south. This place exceeded my expectations. Great craft beer selections and prices. Great wing flavors and the menu is well put together with all kinds of food. My second visit was on a Thursday being $8.99 buffet specials. Who doesn't love 2 flavors of all you can eat wings!!. They also had fried pork chops, coleslaw, wing chips, and like 4 other things but all I cared about was the wings especially this certain dry rub style. A woman was greeting everyone and making sure we had the best service possible. I don't know if she was the owner but I asked her what kind of seasoning was on the dry wings and she said Carolina rub and explained to me how the season was made and how it came about and I was like wow it's amazing. I got my check and proceeded to walk out the door and I heard Sir, Sir wait...I turned around and the kind woman gave me a free bottle of Carolina rub. That was very generous of her and I will always make this my one stop for great wings, beer and most importantly great service! Thank you so much read more
