    Carousel Candyland

A hidden sweet gem filled with so many choices to choose from. You can have gummies, chocolates, hard and soft candies, and the hurricane popcorns with so much flavors to choose from. This is a must stop place to visit whether you're shopping, dinning and of course, for movie theater. Good luck sneaking it in;) This is a fun store not only for kids but adults too! The staffs are so friendly! I love Gina and Karen! Come and check them out! It's a place to be to satisfy your sweet, salty, and sour cravings! It's a cute little store filled with happiness! You'll definitely walk out with something! Thank you for reading my review. Have a great weekend!

The original Hurricane popcorn shop! Filled with all the old school kind candy! Most of the candy is pre-packed so just grab and go. They also sell mochi crunch and seed among other few yummy stuff! Jelly beans and M&M galore! Always a must stop and shop when at Kahala Mall!

Today I was really craving popcorn and candy. They have the best hurricane popcorn! Their kakimochi is heart shaped and it is so cute. They put the perfect amount of ingredients inside and the flavor is spot on. Good portions sizes and very reasonably priced. We also picked up a bunch of pre packed sour gummies, jelly beans, and chocolates. I love that it's already packed in individual resealable bags. They have a ton of selection and almost everything you could want. Staff is very friendly and the store is very clean. They had a dragon made of balloons for Chinese new year and it was very impressive. We will be back!

This kiosk in the middle of Kahala Mall catches my attention because of the cute things on display

Shopping at Kahala Mall in Honolulu, Hawaii... I've passed by this kiosk so many times... Not knowing that it's an extension of the store Carousel Candyland - right in front of it! I just kept admiring all of the cute things in the windows... This time, I stopped and got an angel charm for my friend - her brother just passed away and I want to put the angel in the envelope that I give to her. Then, I saw a bunny charm... And lucky bracelets... And useful luggage tags... And Asian Precious Moments dolls... And good luck amulets... And... Gosh... I'd better get outta here before I buy the whole store! Besides having great gifts, the service at Carousel Candyland was very pleasant and helpful! I can probably get a few of these items in Chinatown, but Kahala Mall is cleaner and safer - plus, the parking is free and the environment is air conditioned and has convenient restrooms! For sure, I'll be back!

    Medium butter popcorn: $4.45

Carousel Candyland has turned into one of my go-to stops whenever I'm in the area. I love popcorn, especially hurricane popcorn, so the fact that they pop theirs fresh with the option to add toppings is awesome. You can even smell their popcorn as soon as you step into the mall. I initially wanted to try their hurricane popcorn, but my mom and I were in the mood for butter (probably due to the fact that it smelled like buttered popcorn inside the shop). Our bag of popcorn was still warm when we got it and it had a generous amount of butter. I really liked that it didn't taste too salty. They have a good amount of candy selection and prices are pretty reasonable. We ended up getting a lot more candy than what we planned, but there's no such thing as too much. I'll have to try their hurricane popcorn next time!

When I come to Kahala Mall for whatever, I stop by Carousel Candyland. They make the best Furikake (Hurricane) popcorn and usually add extra scoop of Furikake and Mochi Crunch. I buy one for my family, best friend, and myself. I pick up pizza gummies for my granddaughter as a incentive to help around the apartment and don't wait for anyone to tell her. I'm in heaven when the popcorn is freshly popped, buttered flavor, Mochi Crunch for the crunch factor, and that nori Furikake flavor...bussen!!! Instead of bussen, we say broke da mouth! They have very candy you can think of and a few from my time. Staff is friendly and helpful. They require you to sanitize your hands with their sanitizer at the door. Other than that? Ciao!

Update on Carousel Candyland they brought in more old school candies from years ago . Remember Gold mine , Charms, and button candy. Gold mine is a bag of bubble gum and the candy button is on a sheet of paper . The charms candy looks like life Savers in a square form . Support local

7-11-2021 what is love? In this instance, having someone special to you share their customized bag of popcorn with you, not once but two or perhaps three times is love. I have always loved seeing and remembering how our first grandchild shared her piñata goodies with others when she was just a toddler. When little ones share their treats with innocent kindness, it is touching. When they grow up and share as an adult it comes from the heart. Having them share even the tiny precious package of what looked like coveted chocolate gummy bears more like a rice krispy morsel covered by chocolate to top the popcorn is luxury. Twice so far when our daughter has come home for a visit, driving out to Kahala Mall to go to Candyland Carousel is on her to do list. We have gone along for the ride. The familiar furikake type popcorn also uses kinako in their mixture. It's a great snack during binge watching Netflix ie, Queen's Gambit. It's not greasy or messy. To me it has a very subtly mild sweet taste. Salty? It depends on who is eating it. We enjoyed getting to taste several times from this large bag of tasty popcorn. According to a dietician's list I saw that 3 cups of popcorn is a healthy snack. Yay for popcorn. I've recently read during the past pandemic year of Yelp Elites picking up or sharing meals with their parents. Sharing food with those you care about shows love. Such an awesome gesture. Spending time and thinking of parents while they are still around is truly selfless and genuinely thoughtful. That is unconditional love.

Aaaahh sugar rush!! Carousel Candyland in Kahala Mall is the end of the sweet rainbow. Loaded with every kind of sugar including Icee you can have that sweet tooth shuddering with joy. My go to is always the popcorn, the scent just entice you as you walk the mall and is so hard to resist. It comes in three sizes and from plain, butter to assorted flavors including local flavors of hurricane, lihing and wasabi lol! They are incredibly serious with the social distancing so be sure to enter from the left it's clearly stated though as some may just wander in (understandably sugar coma) staff will not be shy to advise your correction and a speaker to make sure you don't forget to sanitize as you enter which is all for safety and I just respect their system. Sweetness snack cravings bliss, thank you!!

Always a must when I'm at Kahala Mall. I got the melon icee and hurricane popcorn which is the best snack combo. I love their large selection of candy and staff is always friendly/kind.

    mango gummy bears

Business is located in Kahala Mall. An employee was in front monitoring the number of people in store which is 6. Popcorn smelled so good. I came for gummy bears and there were many flavors and other gummy, jellybean, and other candies. My friend bought a large icee coke & strawberry flavor with vanilla ice cream on bottom. My purchase was mango gummy bears which are soft.

Soft, fresh mochi filled with crunchy peanut butter. Yum! I remember when they were on Waikamilo Road in Kalihi. If you didn't know, like me. They've relocated to the McCully area. Where mochi is continued to be made fresh and a window to see the making of it. The bright and colorful painted wall caught my attention. Great for taking selfies or pictures your purchases. Such as iced cold drinks, locally made snacks, mochi leis, T-Shirts and the cutest stickers, to name a few things available for purchase. I asked a few questions and the pleasant lady that answered my questions was very helpful and offered me samples of the different flavors of Senbei & Japanese Okoshi- crispy puffed brown rice with macadamia nuts. There was one employee working at the register and another in the back. The service was attentive and efficient although there was only one person on the floor. They carry a great assortment of mochi and manju, including some varieties that need to be refrigerated. In addition, they offer local favorites like li-hing gummy bears and assorted flavored sembei, giving you plenty of sweet and savory options to choose from. The employee at the register was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, happily sharing information about the different mochi flavors and offerings. Most importantly, the mochi here is absolutely delicious. During this visit, we ordered a Girls' Day pack and tried the chocolate ganache Oreo flavor which was amazing. The mochi was perfectly soft and paired beautifully with the rich chocolate ganache filling. My friend loved it so much that she went back the very next day to order more! If you love mochi, you really need to stop by. I highly recommended this shop.
