I've passed by this place multiple times, but I haven't tried it till now. My wife and I were walking the creek (which I recommend) and I remembered that Carpenter was right there. When we walked up, they were busy. It seems like they have a lot of regular customers. Despite the line, they were pretty quick. I gave it 5 stars because the dirty chai I got was good, but also their prices are very reasonable. They have a nice covered seating area. Everyone just got their coffee and went their ways. Was looking for a new coffee place to check out and decided to check our this location. When I got to the locarion, I was surprised to see a trailer and canopy in a small parking lot. Was kind of nervous about the coffee after seeing the setup, but the coffee does not disappoint. Smooth mellow and creamy. I personally go the dark mocha, but I tried my friends draft latte. And that was so delicious. Would definitely go back for the coffee, but I'm hoping they'll be expanding into the property that they're located on. read more

Well Carpenter Coffee Roasters is something new for me-a coffee trailer in the front of a residence located at 9308 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624. The ambience was primarily a to go operation but there were a few tables and chairs available under a shade awning. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who showed me and explained the menu. She had a wonderful attitude and was very customer focused with everyone. I got the impression this was a family run business. The main difference between Carpenter's and other coffee places is superior quality. I tried the draft latte vanilla and the avocado toast (fresh avocados) and It was the best two things I've tasted in years. The drink really woke me up, had a taste like a vanilla milk shake but not too sweet. The toast was amazing, fresh made to my order. I watched as other drinks and food items were being made-looked really good! They also sell hats and shirts advertising the business. When I was there it was pretty crowded so parking was limited. I found out about Carpenter Coffee Roasters when I was driving down Elk Grove Florin and saw the red trailer parked on the side. You can't miss that bright red! When I saw the word coffee I looked them up right away! We came back over the weekend and it was where I wanted to grab my birthday morning coffee. The lot itself is small but there are even tables for you to enjoy your coffee there! There is a whole street to the side that you can park at easily also. The menu is pretty simple but they do have some great syrup flavors, as well as some seasonal/specialty drinks on a separate menu. I suggest following them on Instagram to see what baked goods they're offering and what their hours are for the week. They also sell their bagged coffee beans! Service was great! There was a guy and girl working and they were both very kind. They also asked me to try my drink to make sure I liked it since they had never done blackberry in a latte. It was really the perfect amount and I didn't want a single thing changed. They also had recommended brown sugar in my husband's cappuccino which he had never had a flavored one before but he was a fan! He is very particular about his coffee so it definitely means a lot that he likes this one! I will definitely be back soon - probably this week! Nitro cold brew draft!! I add her house made coconut syrup and house made banana syrup and holy moly this is by far my favorite coffee in the area. I'm super picky and hate fake syrups with dyes and chemicals! This coffee is top tier. Service is speedy and they have a cute shop set up with merch as well as a seating area. This cute spot tucked away along the road would normally be easy to miss, but if you spot the red sign on the side of the road, and youll know you've made it. The coffee cart is located in a small parking lot in front of what looks like a home and we were greeted by a nice lady who made our coffee with our accommodations (they have sugar free syrups and alt. Creamers like oat and almond!) The coffee was strong and freshly roasted in the property just behind the cart. The lady's son came out to speak with us, and he was a very sweet kid who told us about his family's plan to eventually open a larger location in the building behind the cart. We were taken on an adventure when his father (who roasts the beans) allowed us to see the roasting process. Everything was done fresh and small batch, and it shows in the flavor of their coffee. There was a random tortoise that somehow made it's way toward the road in which the family stopped it from running towards the road and lended me a box so that I could release him in the nearby creek safely Awesome coffee, awesome experience, will definitely be back if I am in the area read more

Love Carpenter, they have made a cozy stop with really good quality coffee off Elk Grove florin rd and Bond. There is a small selection of baked goods that seem to be fresh made. Always friendless from the staff or owner if you catch him! I love the drinks I've had. Milk alternatives available. My girlfriend is from out of the area, she believes their hot chocolate to be the best and craves it when she comes to visit. We love Carpenter Coffee! We cannot wait until they get a brick and mortar. However, the service provided out of the truck is great. My husband always gets a cold brew or occasionally a drip coffee. Carpenter is in such a convenient location! There is easy parking and I was surprised to see a little shaded patio to hang out! I thought it was strictly a drive up to spot. I didn't try a pastry today because I just needed a little afternoon coffee but they looked amazing and were put out on a nice tray, easy to see even though this is basically a food truck. The staff were so friendly and the coffee came out fast! There is plenty of shade while you wait. I had a basic iced mocha but they have quite a few syrups and different drink specials. I have driven by a number of times and never made the time to stop until today. I ordered a Dirty Chai and a Steamed milk with 3 pumps of vanilla. I also ordered a sugar cookie bar and an oatmeal cream pie. I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks, but the Chai was so good and hot. My son said the vanilla steamed milk was better than ones he has had at other places. He doesn't like hot chocolate. The kid...well he looked young to me was very nice and personable. Loved this little coffee cart outside of a house! Who would've thought? I had one of their flavored lattes and I ordered one with banana milk, thinking that it was dairy free, but it wasn't. Super smooth coffee & chocolate taste. One of the best iced mochas that I've had in the area, really. I also tried the cold brew here; a bit acidic so I recommend a heavy sweetener added to it (unless you dig the taste as is). Will definitely wake you up though. My wife and I go here regularly during our walk. Their coffee is good. We found rewards system where you get a star for every transaction (5 stars = free bakery item and 9 starts = free coffee), not how much you pay for each transaction. This means if you spend $100 in one transaction, you still get 1 star. I had 4 stars after my wife bought a coffee. So, I bought another coffee to get 5 stars to get the free bakery item. This is when the customer service was poor. I asked the person if I made him upset because his demeanor changed. He explained that they don't want multiple transactions in a short period of time like some people abusing the system by doing multiple transactions. Thier reward system is setup that way, and many people get 1 star for a few drinks in one transaction. And this is still not an excuse to make the customers feel bad about using the reward system. read more

I love carpenter coffee!! My go to order has to be the draft latte w/ brown sugar. The drink is on the sweeter side, but so good. The coffee is very smooth and creamy, and I like how it's foamy. The service is fast, and the baristas are very friendly. There is limited outside seating and their "parking lot" is small but people often park on the side of the street. My sister and I decided to give Carpenter Coffee another try after the first was a bust. The first time we got lattes and did not enjoy our drinks very much. Since we consistently heard raving reviews of this place we decided to give it another try. After reading reviews of the lattes being too milky, I decided to get an iced vanilla flat white and my sister got a dirty chai latte. We went later in the day so there wasn't as many people and our was taken swiftly. The guy taking our order was very nice and let me know that my flat white would be in a smaller cup. While waiting, I notice their seating area in the corner, the rack of merch they have on display, assortment of coffee beans, and hats and beanies. Our drinks came out soon after we ordered. I enjoyed my flat white a lot more than the latte, it wasn't too sweet and a nice balance of milk and coffee. My sister thought her drink wasn't bad, the chai flavor was nice and strong, but it lacked any flavor of coffee. We tried this place for the first time for Restaurant Week and the cashier was a bit confused about the check-in. Fortunately the barista was quick to assist, but the cashier made a few errors for the remainder of the order. We had to correct the drinks once, the sizes twice, and remind him about the Restaurant Week discount. After all that, we were overcharged for the incorrect drink sizes.
