I used carpet fashions in the past to carpet my home and they did a great job. I recently had them re-tile the entire 1st floor of our new home. The tile itself looked great. The damage done to our baseboards and walls by the installers was not planned for. I don't blame the installers as we offered to remove the baseboards prior and the store personnel said it would not be necessary. We have to replace all of our baseboards and add quarter-round at our expense. Every installer that I have spoken to since said the baseboard should have been removed to avoid the damage that was done to the walls. read more

I have purchased carpet, tile, and wood laminate from here and have never had any issues or problems. All of the staff, including the ones mentioned previously, we very helpful. I paid this business over $5000 to install tile flooring at my house. Last week a leak developed under my slab and one tile at the edge had to be taken out. I had extras so I called Carpet Fashions and asked if they had a way to cut the tile for me so I could replace the one broken out by the plumber. The person on the phone said they had no way to cut it, but if I dropped it off they could ask one of their installers to cut it for me. So I stopped by a couple of days later with the tile. The man I spoke to was extremely rude in telling me that the other person I spoke to didn't know what they were talking about and that they would do nothing to help me. When I tried to discuss it with him, he became loud and aggressive. It was a small favor to ask because the tile needed a 30" cut and Home Depot doesn't rent a saw that big. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor at being treated in such an utterly rude way just because I needed a VERY small favor. I was willing to pay their installer to cut a single tile for me. What a horrible way to treat a customer. I took the tile to Floors Direct and explained my problem - I didn't even buy the flooring from them, but they were happy to do me a favor and two days later I picked up the cut tile. And they didn't charge me a dime. I know where I'll take my future business. read more

BUYERS BEWARE! First off, I am giving this 2 stars because the finished product was great, no complaints there...the experience was a little different. We initially stopped into Carpet Fashions and picked out our vinyl flooring with one of the sales reps named Jerry. He came out to our home to take the measurements, then I met him at the shop to go over the quote, drop off the deposit, and schedule installation date. I was told multiple times that it would be installed Thursday 2/18 and should be finished the same day. The Tuesday before I called to confirm my appointment as I would need to take the day off of work, clear the rooms of furniture, etc. Thursday morning came and went and no one showed up. I then called Jerry to see what was going on. He told me that they had some installers quit that day and were scrambling around with scheduling and that my install may need to be pushed until the following Monday 2/22. I said that would be fine, but asked if there was anything he could do to make up for the inconvenience of missing work and now having to take an additional day. He said he would get back to me shortly on that...never did. I called into the office 5 mins before they closed and got in touch with the owner. He told me it looked like Jerry mixed up the schedule as I was always scheduled for 2/22, but he would look into a discount to make up for confusion and inconvenience. I kindly thanked him for the consideration. Fast forward to Monday, the installer...who is a subcontractor, extremely nice and professional...was not able to finish that day in part because he was given the incorrect measurements by Jerry. Tuesday...now the 3rd day I've taken off of work...the installer finished the job and politely asked if he could collect the remainder of the original invoice. Before writing the check I called back into the office to follow up on any update in the discount that was discussed. Spoke to the owner who had the audacity to offer me a mere $25, or a 1.5% discount of the original invoice. I was a little shocked and confused by this and kindly reminded him about the 3 missed work days and the inconvenience of the scheduling mishap. He then raised his voice and proceeded to say that I had lied to him when we spoke the previous week and that Jerry has told me all along that I was scheduled for the later date. I became extremely upset at the accusation and questioned him about the bogus story that Jerry gave me about the "installers had quit" scenario. Again I was told that I was a liar and nothing would be done. After going back and forth through extreme frustration, we settled at a measly $50 off (3% discount). Not much else to say, but I believe this is not the way of prioritizing customer service when owning a business. I was never looking to take advantage or demand an unfair discount...however a simple assumption of responsibility and an apology would have been a good place to start. At Carpet Fashions, the customer for sure isn't always right. In fact, they are a straight-up liar. Needless to say I will never use this business again. read more

We had a great experience at carpet fashions in Melbourne. We actually visited the other location in palm bay first which didn't seem to have as many tile displays as the Melbourne location so it was a little difficult to visualize the tile layout. We were treated with good customer service they just didn't have what we wanted in stock. We decided to head over to the Melbourne location to see if they had a better selection and we ended up finding exactly what we wanted thanks to Doug. We loved how their showroom was set up, it made it super convenient to be able to get an idea of what the tile would look like. Not only was Doug awesome to work with, the rest of the staff was very friendly when we arrived. Definitely recommend! read more

This is the second time I had used this business to carpet rooms in my house. The first time was a great experience and that why I decided to use them to install carpet in my master bed room and family room. The 2nd experience wasn't good at all. First when I bought the carpet and signed the paperwork and paid for the carpet. I had paid for 2 rooms of carpet, 8# spill guard pad, and tack strip replacement. As I was walking out the building I noticed Connie had not checked the replace tack strip box on the paperwork. So I walked back in the office and asked Connie to please check the box on the paperwork. She told me it was ok that the instructions to the installers would have it. When the installers showed up they complained about having to install less than 35' worth of tack strip which was less than 1 full room's worth. They wouldn't install the leftover carpet in the closet of the master bedroom. They broke off my cable jack on the wall and didn't say anything to me. They also had to remove the doors to the master bedroom because the carpet was thick. In the process they got black grease from the hinges all over newly paint white doors. So when I went down to the business today to talk to the sales rep. about the issues. I was dismissed in a rude and unprofessional way. He ( the old tall bald guy) said I didn't give them first right of response.? I was just asking that they cover the cost to repair the cable jack and me having to do the installer's job ($50 total) of laying the carpet in the master bed room closet. I was told that the closet wasn't part of the master bedroom and it wasn't on the paperwork. Not sure what planet he's on but the master bedroom closet is part of the master bed room (6"6"x2'). I paid for 40 yards of carpet to be laid but they didn't install it all. So if you decide to use this business make sure you get everything listed including tack strip removal, replacement, removal of carpet. Yes they have a box to check for that. They could have made it right by refunding me the $50 but instead failed. If I would have taken him up on the first right of refusal to repair the cable jack it would have cost their company more to pay to repair it but after the way he reacted and talked to me I wasn't interested. I wouldn't let them walk my dog and he died. Stay away is my take! read more

We purchased a house and needed to tile the bedrooms. The tile was a nice wood grain imported from Spain 8x24". We had given up finding it and were expecting to pay 3.75 per ft2 for a replacement. Bought vinyl flooring in 2014. Being snow birds we have actually been here a total of nine months over those two years. The floor is always dirty even after cleaning. The salesman at the store said to call the manufacture. We did. They told us to use an Armstrong cleaner. We tried that and still feet are black after cleaning the floor. They say to keep trying different products, but nothing works. When we requested to have a rep look at the floor the manager said I have enough work cleaning my own floor without cleaning someone else's. So our floor is still a mess and that is the reply we get. Stay away if you think you may like some old fashioned customer service. read more

Very bad experience and do not recommend. Was recommended by someone in area and should have read reviews prior to purchasing and having their installer install carpet. We are having same problem with installation as other reviewer. Sales person extremely rude after sale and installation took place. Very difficult to get a rep from CarpetFashions to look at carpet after installation and very difficult to set up appointment that installer would keep to look at carpet. Took many calls to get a rep/sales person to go look at carpet only to be told too much time had taken place since installed and warranty would be denied. Was told our baseboards were installed after carpet was installed which was not the case. Spoke with Darren, owner/manager 3.5 weeks ago who told us he needed to talk with his staff and has not gotten back with us. Had other carpet professional look at carpet and was told carpet should have been installed with a power stretcher and to have transitions placed where carpet meets tile as carpet fibers were still raised after carpet installer stapled carpet down. Carpet was pulling up along baseboards along with loose carpet fibers pulling up. Lawyer suggested trying Better Business Bureau next, read more
