I am very happy that I chose carpet liquidators to get my flooring and install job done. I went through 3 companies to get quotes. This one was the most competitive and the best price on the actual flooring material as a liquidator. You cannot be as picky with flooring and you need to buy what they have, but they have lots of options. John came out and met me at my house after work and we talked through the project. He understood that we were dealing with a home-loan and a budget, and a timeline. (Wanting to install floors before my Son is born in May.) We picked a flooring type and received a quote from the office for install quickly. We decided to move forward and scheduled the install for about 2-3 weeks later due to my schedule. (They were available sooner!?) The scheduler for install was Shawn. They came on Monday 3/24 and started the prep work for my house and realized that my sub-floor in the kitchen was in bad shape. I was given options to replace the sub-floor or choose a new product that wasn't glue down that could be installed over the existing floors. He gave me floor options that were similar in color. Luckily I had seen the others in person, chose that morning and they said they would finish the prep work and continue install. There was some miscommunication between myself, John and the installing manager that lead to a couple small issues with the install. They were incredibly quick to remedy the situation and honored the original quote I was quoted even though the remedy to the communication errors was more expensive on behalf of the company. The other thing that I think was incredibly respectful is that John called me that night, (Almost 8 pm) to talk about the issues I encountered when I came home. He apologized and we talked through why we were not on the same page. He was such a stand up guy it immediately cured my anxiety about the project and getting it done on time and within budget. A company making an error is not a reason to rate them low, but them communicating through difficulty, honoring their contract and being stand up guys is a reason to give them a 5. The installer worked hard to get my project done on time. (Still only two days to install Luxury Vinyl Plank in my kitchen, dining, hall and living room, and sheet vinyl in the laundry room) and the customer service of the staff is beyond top knotch. At the end of the day the photos of the project are not complete (My husband and I are installing baseboards ourselves later) but the flooring install is seamless and looks really nice. The owner's statement boasts about their stores huge inventory....well a huge inventory is not going to do anything for you if you don't have excellent customer service. I went into this store looking for help on a small hole I needed to fix (apparently carpet is on my dogs favorite foods list). A rather tall stocky gentlemen that walked with a slight limp or waddle was there to provide me with very little assistance. I told him what I wanted to do and showed him the piece of carpet I was trying match. He steered me toward some small remnence pieces that did not even come close to matching. I wandered away and found an exact match. I asked him how much to get one foot cut off the width of the roll and he told me it was a 6 foot minimum and it will cost me $140. Are you kidding me! I re-explained that I just need to make a small repair and I would really appreciate it if he would help me out. The answer was a very firm and unsympathetic NO! TOO BAD for them since I am in the process of purchasing a 2000sqft home right now that not only will I need to completely re-carpet it, but I have already factored the cost in and will be doing it prior to moving in. As I left the store I told the guy that I will go to one of the other 97 carpet stores in the area and I am certain they will be more then willing to help. I got in the car used google maps to find the next closest place (turned out to be carpets to go) called them and explained the situation to Jordan at the downtown location, surprise surprise... they were more then happy to help ($10 total cost plus some free tips on how to do a great patch job). Kurt was very helpful in pointing out options that fit our needs, and knowledgeable about their quality and features. We got a carpet we really like at a good price. Since we were installing it ourselves, we appreciated the "rerolling" of the carpet with the underside on top, so all we had to do was roll it out on our floor; no dragging and flipping.
