    WHO DOES THIS???? I recently went in to get a new battery. I was apprehensive to turn my car off in…read morecase they didn't have the right battery. I called the store and immediately this man named JOSE said not to worry and that he would come out to check my car. He came right out and was so kind and understanding. Said they did have the right battery and that he would install it. When he went to take out the old battery it was melded together to the terminal with corrosion. Jose took 30 MINUTES OR MORE to work on getting the terminal off. He even went back in and got some Wd40 to continue trying to get it off. He worked and worked and worked. He never gave up or suggested he couldn't do it. He did all of this while wearing his pristine grey Auto Zone long sleeve shirt and didn't get a single stain on it! I was so impressed not only with Jose's work ethic, but also by his cheerful attitude and the fact that he simply was determined to help me and not leave me or my car stranded without a battery. I am SO appreciative of Jose. This Auto Zone is kinda located in a basement area in San Clemente, so it might be easy to miss. But I will search it out again and again simply because of your employee, Jose! I did ask Jose who his boss was and wanted to make sure this message gets to Joe Peckett. Joe- you have a STELLAR employee at Shop #3301. Professional, kind, dedicated, and A+ human. Well done! ~ Mary

    I came here to quickly get my tire pressure looked at and left with a tire the same day!…read more I pulled up to their team on my way to run errands and they quickly were able to review and help me with my tire pressure. Upon inspection I had a nail in my tire that couldn't be patched. David came to help me see if they had a tire in stock. When he confirmed, he offered to get me through the process same day! I was so impressed with the quality of service, care, and attention David gave to me and my situation. People in customer service, especially auto centers, who care like David cares about service are hard to find. I'll definitely be coming back for shy future car care needs!

I had made an appointment for a full synthetic oil change, as I knew they could get very busy and wait times can be long. Upon arrival, I noticed many cars had lined up in front of the bays, however Tracy got my car going with her techs almost immediately! Not only did she touch base with me a few times while I waited, but we sat and enjoyed some conversation. This lady knows a lot about cars! Found that she'd worked on cars for years under her dad, and that she's also been an automotive manager a very long time. She kept the techs "on point", kept me apprised of the time frame, and really showed me what a true customer service person is all about! So glad I met this lady and hopefully when you go to get an oil change there (BTW, you should as it was a great price), and you'll have a chance to meet one of Walmart's finest!

    This is by far the worst O'Reilly's in South OC. I've been a few times and the customer service was…read morereally bad, but it was convenient so dealing with a few rude employees didn't bother me too much. However a friend and I were at the store to purchased a $450 machine we needed to fix his vehicle on evening. It was priced for $450 at the store, but we noticed all the other auto parts retail stores had it selling for $399. We asked the cashier if they do price adjustments, and he said "sure let me get the manager". Out comes the worst retail (I believe the "assistant manager") I've ever encountered in my 46 years of life! His name was "Maximus". Right from the start he was rude and difficult to work with. After dealing with his rudeness I asked him if I could show him the prices at the other stores. I showed him screen shots I had taken before we arrived. Of course he needed to see the actual websites. Unfortunately, I had no cell reception in their store or the parking lot, and neither did my friend. I finally asked him " You have a computer right in front of you. Do you mind looking on your computer?". He huffed and puffed but eventually said he tried, but his "system was stuck in a different country or time zone", and he was unable to access the correct retail websites. Something that made no sense. I even asked him if we can briefly use the Wi-Fi code on our phones to show him and he said "no". After dealing with his attitude for probably 15 minutes, I finally asked him " What's your problem Maximus? Is there a reason why you're acting out?", his response was "If you were just in the back, trying to clean the bathrooms you would be acting the same way I am!". I was pretty shocked to hear him admit that was his reason for treating us the customers badly. I told him, I'm a 46-year-old executive now, after starting in retail you hey I cleaned plenty of bathrooms early in my career and it did it with a smile, even more I surely never took it out on customers or other employees". I told him that the world doesn't work the way he does and I was very surprised that he wasn't any type of management role. Even these days! We ended up purchasing the part for the full $450, and we turned it a day later as we found it for $399 a few miles down at another auto parts store. Maximus doesn't realize that we are both very high spending customers, and neither of us will be back to the store and every friend we have won't be back either. Do you think Maximus cares? Not at all. However, O'Reilly should. Maximus is doing way more damage to your business than you can imagine.
