Not my usual type of restaurant, BUT I did hear about their "Happy Hour" (4-7pm) in the bar area. Well needless to say really surprised me. We sat at the bar I had the $8.00 Expresso Martini my companion had the Italian Old Fashion also $8.00.... Was very good. Decided to stay on for the appetizers 1st tried the Bruschetta creamy ricotta, fresh tomatoes, basil on warm oval toasted bread..... ( $8.00 apps) this surprised me. Was tasty and soo great. After another Martini/ old fashion decided on the calamari. Another great choice, was very lightly ,tender and tasty. Two dipping sauces came with it also very exceptional . Our bartender was very informative, pleasant and friendly. Fortunately or unfortunately this was my first time at Carrabba's... I'm soo happy I gave it a try. Big, family bday celebration and great time at Carabba's! We sat at a large table near the bar for extra vibes, and our server, Brook, was fantastic! She kept our drinks full, made everyone happy, and was super friendly and helpful. We ordered apps, drinks, dinner, and everything was timed perfectly, hot, fresh, and super tasty! Our orders ranged from Spaghetti Pomodoro to Shrimp Spiedini, to Chicken Marsala, to Eggplant Parm, to Steak, and more. Although the entree (Shrimp and scallop Spiedini) was delicious, as always, we were very disappointed in the Caesar salad. The portion was smaller than it used to be, there was way less shredded Parmesan cheese on it and instead of hearts of Romaine, it had more of the leafy green leaves. I'm not sure who made the decision to make these changes, but I would rather pay more and get the same quality I am used to. read more

We love going to Carrabba's in February for their specials! We did a call ahead and only waited 5 min to be seated. Jesus was our waiter and very nice and happy. We enjoy this restaurant vibe, not too loud, nice lightning, comfortable booths, and well decorated. We started with their warm bread and olive oil mix. Try not to fill up on it even though it's hard to resist! Then came our favorite soup, the sausage lentil. It's simply delicious. We ordered from the specials menu and I got the Short Rib Marsala. It's sinfully good! Just more fatty than usual. My hubby got the Champagne Chicken and unfortunately arrived at our table cold. Disappointing to say the least. They heated up the same plate and brought it to us. The broccoli was mushy and even though the chicken looked well seasoned, it was bland. Won't be ordering that again. Great Pasta! I realize that nowadays it can be challenging to find a chain restaurant that still produces great meals. The Carrabba's in Palm harbor at 33983 U.S. Hwy 19 is still serving dishes to high standards. I went today, Thursday April 9th at about 11:50 AM. The menu had an outstanding lineup of just about anything Italian that you would want. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. The restaurant was clean and the Interior was bright and nice. I was seated right away and my Server, Esmay brought me a beverage right away. She was friendly, polite and very accomodating. She helped me customize my meal from the menu. The bread and Herb Oil was warm and tasty. The salad was extremely fresh and had plenty of different vegetables and freshly grated cheese with a creamy Parmesan dressing. I ate all of it. My food came to the table right away. The food was fresh, cooked correctly and piping hot. My favorite was The Linguine and Alfredo Sauce with Schrimp. It was not too tight and not too soupy. Best of all, it remained very hot throughout the meal. The noodles were cooked to perfection and al dente. The pasta dish had amazing flavor. I am pleased to say they are maintaining a great dining and food preparation standard. This is a great destination for a group of people to have a meal. Carrabba's used to be a go-to for my family and I. After last night, those days are over. The last few visits have been lackluster as well. They took the pizza off the menu at the beginning of Covid and never brought it back. BOO! That pizza was fantastic. The last time we ate in was for my Husband's Birthday and we split the Chicken trio. It was dry and bland. We didn't even finish it. Take out last night fell totally flat. He had a Rigatoni pasta dish that was supposed to be topped with cheese, it was but barely. Two tiny little blobs. The Sausage and Lentil soup that came with his meal was supposed to be my dinner, however it was barely half full, which means it was half empty. This location will continue it's decline I'm afraid. It's really too bad, it used to be so good. Sad face. read more

The first few times I tried this place it was pretty amazing. I enjoyed their fried zucchini appetizer and their chicken alfredo but the last 2 times I tried these same dishes, they were super salty. I mean it tasted like their salt topper came off the bottle and all the salt piled on the food and they served it that way anyway. I had the same issue while visiting the Naples location off of Tamiami Rd. and the St Augustine location. Most likely will leave the same review for them. Don't know what's going on with if and any changes to the ingredients or cooking procedures within this business were made but if that's the case, hopefully it can be fixed soon. I'll be staying away from this place for awhile until they control their salt portions and will be hanging out with the Gardeners who grow all those Olives, instead. Don't Stay Salty my friends! Went to Carrabba's for birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. The food and drinks arrived in a timely fashion and everything tasted great. Our server was so sweet and made sure the whole table was satisfied throughout the meal. It was a little loud, but as are most places these days. Very busy and parking was tough as the lot was full upon arrival, but after a few minutes driving around a spot opened up. Sigh. Sometimes you just can't go home again. I hadn't been to Carrabba's in awhile because the St. Louis location closed years ago while we still lived there. My friends and I never stopped lamenting the closure and we never stopped talking about that Pasta Weesie. I admit it was naive of me to think it would be the same, but wow this new version doesn't even come close to the original concept. The original dish was made with a tubular pasta, deliciously GRILLED shrimp, and a sauce to die for. So now it's "Fettuccine Weesie" which is just a basic fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, mushrooms, and onions on top. Thaaaaat's it. The shrimp was cooked but definitely not grilled. And that amazing sauce is now just a super bland Alfredo sauce 101. Bummer. The Caesar salad was small but tasty and the croutons were buttery and garlicky. The portions were generous but it was such a disappointment. I know Carrabba's is owned by corporate conglomerate Bloomin' Brands (Outback, Olive Garden) so that explains a lot. Like so many of these big chains Carrabba's has shifted their emphasis to cutting costs and the bottom line. The high quality food that made them successful has become weaker and weaker over time. What a shame. I don't think the location necessarily did anything wrong. But the Carrabba's brand has definitely lost its way and for that I can't go any higher than a 3. Oh well...at least my friends and I can stop fantasizing about that fabulous Pasta Weesie... read more

Each week Carrabba's offers a wine tasting dinner. For November, they are featuring. Stag's Leap from Antonio wines. Was there with a group of 10 people for my birthday dinner and we really had a good time the fig salad was really good. I do not like eggplant so I removed it but others enjoyed the vinaigrette dressing really good then we moved onto the chicken flavorful could've used a little bit more sauce, but the Kalamata olives brought it all together the third course of the sirloin was a nice size piece of meat and people read about the broccoli lastly, the apple crumb dessert was great. The wine tasted really good and I really liked is that they didn't give you one glass but they came around and gave you more so it was a true wine tasting and for $65 plus tax is a great value and I will certainly be there again. They also have a person that tells you about the wine. It wasn't too crowded. They even have happy hour that ends at 7 PM where you can get a 9 ounce pour for the price of 6 ounces. My son took me here for my birthday dinner. Carrabbas is my favorite Italian restaurant and I have had meals at various locations throughout Florida and Kansas. Never had a bad meal until now. I ordered the Chicken Marsala with garlic mash potatoes, my son ordered the Chicken Parmesan which he wanted pasta however got Parmesan fries and my Granddaughter got the Mac and cheese. My meal was NOT Carrabbas standard of food. The Garlic Mash Potatoes tasted like plain potatoes mashed in water, no flavor at all. Chicken was blah with lil gravy. My son said his meal was not that flavorful and was not happy with the fries. My Granddaughter Mac and Cheese was just Mac someone forgot the cheese. The young lady who was our waitress was nice however forgot my bread and oil set up in my bag. So let's just say I was not happy with my visit at this location. read more

Worst experience here this evening. Sat in the back with an inept waitress. Ordered the Trio and got chicken Bryan. My food came 10 min after the other 3 in my party. When it arrived, it was so over spiced that the pepper on the chicken was burning my mouth quite a bit. Returned chicken and waited 25min. Only 1 visit from waitress and I asked her to bring a box...no box. She did not come for the check and left the table next to me (also irate) to stew. Table next to me went to the manager and asked him to run the check and he would not, they were still waiting when I left. I finally walked up to the first server I saw and asked them to run the check for me. It finally got done and I got the hell out of there at high-speed.
