Carrabba's in Maple Shade, NJ is by far the best location for service & quality of food - the others come close but after 20 years I can honestly say it got better. The Proprietor Steve is by far the most welcoming, incredibly gracious manager in the food chain industry. He always goes out of his way to make you feel like family when you are there. We cater every event with him for both family and company. Their portions are generous and having Steve deliver everything ius always EXTRA special. Came here for dinner with the family . This is my 2nd stop here at this Carrabbas the atmosphere is very quiet and romantic the food tonight was ok not better than my first visit though. The meat was chewy this time and they had no salads which made the meal stink. The family was disappointed about no salad . My son ordered ravioli he didnt like it at all the flavour was horrible not sure if the sauce was bad or if that is how it is suppose to taste but never order that again. Spent over $150 for us 4 not to thrilled about that the food was so so tonight. Probably wont be back here again. read more

Discovered this place over two years ago, was my favorite spot when I lived in Jersey. Unbelievable food and service!! The menu changes every few months, but the classics/favorites are always on the menu. So this is a chain I know, but chain restaurants are only as good as the staff and this one was spot on. We were seated quickly and greeted by our waitress, Katelyn promptly. The restaurant it's self is clean and well kept. Nice clean bathrooms, not always the case in many places it seems these days so not to be taken for granted!! Our food arrived quickly but not in a hurried way, it was what we ordered, again not to be taken for granted either, hot and tasty. Katelyn was a delight !! When ordering online for dinner with my family we got automatically set to curbside pick up which was fine, When we went to get the food there wasn't really any clear instructions on how to let the restaurant know you were there in curbside, but there is a window that says curbside on it so I went up to the window to ask. There was no one there, I figured they could've stepped away and decided to go inside and ask at the hostess stand what they wanted us to do, there was also no one there. I waited for a bit and no one appeared so I ended up having to wander through the restaurant to stop a server and ask them for help. He was able to locate our order and I was able to pay him and leave but it was kind of annoying to be defaulted to curbside for there to be no one there for it and to then have to wander the restaurant to get anyone to help. It wasn't even busy inside so I'm not sure where all the people were. The food was good though! read more

I don't think that I have ever written a poor review for anything on Yelp. Normally if I have a poor experience I just will not visit that business again. Tonight at Carrabba's was such a bad experience that I had to write a review. We ordered curbside service. I arrived at the restaurant early and decided that I would just walk in to pick up my order. Upon entering the practically empty restaurant, the hostess told me that they actually don't notify curbside customers by text message as the parking lot sign states. The food was supposed to be ready at 7:38. At 8:00 I walked to the back to check on my order. It had been sitting on the counter for the last 15 minutes but no one bothered to bring it to me. I wish that this was the worst of my experience. We ordered the Mahi dinner and an appetizer plate with calamari, stuffed mushroom and cheese sticks. This was the most awful dish. The calamari seemed frozen as I don't think they are made from scratch. The mushrooms were smashed and the cheese stick things were frozen also. The taste was awful. My son said the fish also tasted frozen. This has been the worst place that I have been to in a long time. The manager's didn't care when I called without so much as an apology. There are far better restaurants where I can spend my money than every stepping foot back into Carrabba's. read more

Sue was our server tonight. Super friendly and attentive. My friend and I ordered off the Amore Monday menu. 3 courses for $12.99 or $15.99 depending what you want as your entree. The calamari was served hot and crispy. It had the right seasoning and good flavors. I was given a decent size lasagna which tasted good but just a bit too salty for me. I was only able to finish half of it. My friend ordered the fettuccine weesie and the portion size was huge. Great flavors and the dish has a decent amount of shrimps. She didn't even finish half of it. She ordered the chocolate dream as her third course; it was delicious. The chocolate was rich and the cream was very light. My wife and I came here for a date and the food was very delicious. The wait staff on the other hand left a lot to be desired. It took about 1/2 hr to get my wife a refill of her drink. It's so nice to go to a place that can actually make things however you want. It's a scratch kitchen. The food is amazing. The bread and herbs are delicious. The managers here, Steve and Conner are extremely personable and always make sure dinner is going great. The waitress we had Patty is so nice. This is definitely one of THE best Italian restaurants around. First bite into their Parmesan Crusted Chicken is like a taste of heaven - perfectly tender and juicy with crusty breading on the outside. The accompanying sauce adds great flavor too. Not to mention the portions are fairly large, in addition to a soup/salad and bread sticks that are included. The menu may seem fairly limited with the number of entrées available, but I guarantee each of them is a great Italian delight. Also not to be missed out is the fried calamari appetizer (small or regular portion), fresh and fried to perfection - mmMMMm. The only downfall is probably the wait on weekends and other busy nights. But the service is very friendly. They may not come around as often (could be a good thing) when all the tables are occupied, though everything else about the restaurant most definitely makes up for it. read more

My partner and I went there for dinner Friday night. We are on a budget this week and saw an ad for their "3-Course Dinner for $15" special. We both started with the Flatbread appetizer, followed by a salad, and the main entree. The portions are huge, the food delicious, and the service excellent. We called ahead for seating and only waited about 10 minutes for a booth upon our arrival. The manager stopped by to check on us, a nice touch. The only complaint is they always kind of miss the temp on a steak but the food is always delicious and the service is fast and friendly. The peach sangria is dangerous! It's so damn good, and potent. I recommend getting a pitcher and sharing. The minestrone soup is prob my favorite soup ever but I wish they would offer to sprinkle cheese on the soup when hey bring it out. Server took 13 minutes to greet us, the kid hosting was on his phone for most of that time before realizing we were sitting there without anyone, the same server later was complaining for about 10 minutes to the bartender about a customer who didn't leave a tip while also leaving us sitting without ANY check ins. The only reason it's a 2 star and not a 1 is because the manager Steve I believe his name was, was very polite and basically picked up tables that that server was neglecting. I've even organized many private events even though there is no private room they will work with you to accommodate your guests. Call ahead to shorten your wait time. Been about 10 years since I was at Carraba's, had a gift card so went to eat there tonight. Homemade pasta is a plus, had the shrimp and scallop fettuccine, not bad at all. Usually you get something like this at a chain and the seafood will be fishy. This was not fishy at all, very tasty vodka sauce. The sausage aracini app was Excellent. Love the pre-meal bread with oil and herb dipping plate. Service was a lil slow, but I think the kitchen and bar were a little backed up. Definitely would NOT recommend the Tiramisu, was awful. Too much whipped topping and not enough espresso/chocolate taste. Very blah. All in all was not a bad night out. But unless I have a gift card, I'll probably end up at a local BYOB for Italian next time. But if you have kids or are looking to maybe save a few bucks, it's not a bad spot. read more

What happened to this place?? We used to be a frequent diner here when we lived a little closer. Since we moved, we do not get the chance to get here as often. However, there is a vast difference in this place from a couple of years ago. I will comment on my last 2 visits: About 2 months ago: We always sit at the counter areas. When we walked up to the first area (where pizza station is), we noticed a tray of dirty dishes and a dirty counter. Maybe people just got up and they didn't clean it yet. There was also a laptop on the counter at the far left seat. We asked for the counter to be cleaned and sat there. The lap top remained as well as the tray of dirty dishes. We were told that they ran out of bread. REALLY??? It was not until our dinners arrived that the tray was removed. I ordered something that was not on the menu. It was a FETTUCCINE WEESIE with Salmon instead of shrimp. The Fettuccine Weesie with shrimp is $18.99. They charged be an adder of $3.00 for the change to Salmon. This was ok and the dinner was good. Our most recent visit was this past Thursday: When walking up to the first counter area (pizza station), it seemed that someone had taken over this area. There were chairs with a jacket, laptop bag, laptop on the counter and a tray of dirty dishes. Later we found out that these items belonged to the manager. Doesn't he have an office? We did go to the rear counter area to find that it was also dirty. A tray of dirty dishes and very dirty counter that was sticky. We asked for it to be cleaned and sat down. After waiting for about 5 minutes with no one greeting us, we asked if there was a server for this area and someone came to greet us. I once again ordered the same Weesie with Salmon entree. This time when the bill came, I was charged $25.99. How could they charge me an up charge of $7.00? My check came to about $44.35. I gave the waitress a $100 bill and received back $55.00. Why would the waitress round off the change in her favor? This was WRONG! My tip did reflect this. With so many choices of restaurants in this area, I do not see going back to Carrabba's in our future. read more

This review is concerning the proprietor, Steve Torrey. I called yesterday asking if they were open for lunch. Steve told me they weren't but they are testing third-party delivery service for it through Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. I asked if I could order then and just pick it up because this services didn't deliver in my area (Mount Laurel). He told me they normally wouldn't because they don't have the staff and prep work ready, but he still took my order (I was craving a Pasta Weesie bad) and brought it out to my car when I pulled in. 5 star service!! It's clear he runs a tight ship and greatly values customer service. I would recommend this location to anyone and will definitely be back!!! read more

I haven't been to Carrabba's in years but decided to change that recently. I went for dinner one night and was completely underwhelmed. While our server was friendly enough, the food was meh and the resturant wasn't super clean- and our original silverware was dirty. The server had to bring out two more sets to eventually get clean ones! I was there on a tuesday, so I decided to try the tuesday special which is 3 small plates for $12. Throughout the week, they have different types of specials. For my three small plates, I had the grilled asparagus with prosciutto, 3 cheese + sausage stuff mushrooms, and the arancini. The arancini, which are little fried risotto balls had sausage in them which I didn't particularly enjoy. The asparagus was ok, and I liked the mushrooms- but again too much sausage. The only thing I actually liked was the ricotta cheesecake, which came with strawberries. Once I got home I realized I accidentally forgot my leftovers- and didn't even mind because I probably would have ended up throwing them out anyways. I can't see myself coming back to Carrabba's anytime soon. read more

Carrabba's catered my church's 100 year anniversary celebration over the summer. The lamb chops were the best. They were succulent and I probably ate 20 of them. I don't know what they marinated them in but it was absolutely delicious. They also had a baked ziti dish that was wonderful too. read more
