I might actually use it as a rub...if there's any left....since I've been sprinkling it in my salads. Mmmmm hmmmm!! Give me some of that hot, salty and sweet goodness to kick things up!! Can't wait to try the middle eastern varieties in my new Tagine that I'm curing right now. If I ever head to the area, I'll definitely visit the store in person. Prices are a bit higher about $2-$5 more than other grocery stores depending on what you're getting, also know you're supporting a community focused, local business. It's not a huge place, but they've got a solid selection of essentials, and some nice specialty items too. There's even an outdoor area if you want to relax with a snack or a drink. A great neighborhood, and it's decorated outside and has some amazing murals so you can't miss it. I wish I had thought to take pictures. Will do it next time. Bring your own bags. Parking was easy. The aisles are nice and wide. They have small baskets that roll, making it really easy for someone with disabilities to shop. Their meat section is all frozen, which is fine. I met Marilla herself, who gave me a tour of the small shop and explained how everything worked. This store carries several types of products. Bulk spices, coffee, tea, and candy; reusable/ecofriendly household products like soap bags and kitchen scrubbers; and big refill tubs of liquid items like face wash, hand soap, shampoo, and the like. They have jars you can purchase, or bring your own jar/container. Either way, the container is weighed and then you are charged for the weight of the product. There are fancier jars to buy for a few dollars, or use one of the recycled jars on the free shelf (they are cleaned and sanitized before being set out). Marilla also accepts clean, clear jars (no label) if you have them to donate. I look forward to refilling some household products here instead of buying one more plastic hand soap bottle or spice jar. Check this place out!

I adore their balsamics and am particularly partial to the fig and berry-based bottles. We always have F. Olivers with our Sunday sauce at my parents house - paired with some Wegmans garlic tuscan bread?! Forget it. I always look forward to my next order of oils and balsamics.
