This place is a hidden gem. It's kinda tucked away in a shopping center. We probably passed it a dozen times before trying it out. This is definitely our new ice cream/ treat destination. It's super clean, the staff were very friendly, and although it was kinda busy, it didn't take long. I got a cookie and cream shake. It came with a wide straw so nothing got stuck in the straw. My partner got Mousse Fruit Cake and Dubai Strawberry Cup. I didn't get to taste the strawberry, but the Mousse Fruit Cake she got was pretty good and not anything i really see offered around us. Rich! So rich! Really enjoyed our visit for special treats. We ordered 2 bubble waffles. We did not get a crate but I did see some I'm not sure why they're almost twice as much money but they definitely were overshadowed by the bubble waffles! We tried the Nutella and the cookie butter one and they were both fantastic but the cookie butter one was really something else! The staff suggested we try it with the vanilla ice cream and I'm very glad we listen to them! We also added strawberries to the Nutella bubble waffle and there was a pretty significant pile of strawberries on top of it! All in all a nice little spot for something different and delicious and we ended up spending $25 for the three of us If we had gone it on ice cream it probably would have been about 20 for three ice cream cones nowadays so pretty comparable! read more

Came in with friends to try the viral Dubai strawberries and we were not disappointed! My family ordered the Dubai strawberries and the Pistachio Paradise crepe which is pistachio spread, white chocolate, and garnished with chopped pistachios. My mom got the waffle without the white chocolate though. Everything was absolutely amazing! I also ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was amazing! This was one of the best iced lattes I have had in Rochester! Such an underrated gem here. The interior decoration is beautiful, and had some fun places to take pictures. I love Sweet retreat in Greece! They have some of my favorite sweet treats around. I love to get the Nutella bubble waffle on a stick and their caramel iced coffee. it's super cute inside with a little seating area for pictures. Excellent dessert shop on the west side of Rochester. There's so many options, I had the mango ice cream which tasted just like a ripe mango. I also bought one of their homemade Dubai chocolates which was a bit pricy but on par for Dubai chocolate. Two cakes, one red velvet and on peanut butter and chocolate. Also the Dubai strawberries. I loved the bubble waffles, soft pancake texture on the inside and crisp on the outside. They both had lots of toppings and for the price of $10 you can't go wrong. The Dubai strawberries were delicious, the strawberries were so fresh and sweet, she put a good amount of the the kataifi, pistachio cream and chocolate. Yum! My least favorite were the cakes, they were ok. They were layered with frosting, for me it was too much. I would of preferred like a mousse layer but that is just my opinion and preference. We finally tried Sweet Retreat after our 17-year-old daughter has been going 3 times a week (and getting lectured for it )... but now we completely understand why! We ordered the Dubai crêpe and the raspberry chocolate cake, and WOW. Hands down the most delicious sweet treats we've had in a long time. The 25-minute drive was so worth it. Not only was the dessert incredible, but the customer service was just as amazing. The women working were so friendly, patient, and helpful--answering all my questions with a smile. Me and my friends came here on a whim just to try out the renowned Dubai Strawberries. Needless to say, this place exceeded our expectations! Me and my friend split the Dubai Strawberries and it was the perfect combo of fruit, chocolate, and crunchiness. Tried the refresher today and it was great! Always a good experience, normally my boyfriend goes inside for me and they always fill the strawberry cups up to the top, worth the price if you're questioning. It's a very nice crew of the same few people and they are extremely helpful even for my annoying orders (extra kadayif, less choc., etc) and they have spots to sit and eat as well as a futon for lounging. Today we tried Sweet Retreat for the first time and loved it. The people behind the counter (I'm assuming maybe the owners), were so kind and went above and beyond for my two little ones. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. I ordered the Dubai Strawberries after seeing them on instagram and they were SO good. My sister in law ordered a crepe and it was beautifully made and looked incredible. I'll be trying a crepe on my next visit. The restaurant itself is nicely designed, bright and modern. My wife and I wanted a dessert after having lunch and we thought that the Sweet Retreat would just be the place. There were quite a few choices but we settled on the baklava and Turkish coffee. The Turkish coffee was great, but the home made baklava was OUTSTANDING! JoAnn and I have had many servings of baklava over the years and this was among the best. I even ordered baklava from Jordan and Dubai that wasn't as good . We do not like a baklava the is too sweet or lacking in pistachio filling. This was not over the top in sweetness and had a thick pistachio filling. There is more than baklava with ice cream cakes, custom waffles, and crepes. The owner was very friendly and more than accommodating with all of our request. We will be back again soon. read more

Disingenuous business. Overpriced and lacking. I bought the Dubia "chocolate" covered strawberry and the Dubai chocolate and for only 2 things it was $27. There's barely any chocolate on the strawberry and they are lazy making them. The guy taking the orders kept saying how annoying it was to keep making these desserts. When people would come in to order the dubia chocolate, he lies and says there is no more left and makes them buy cheap prepackaged ones; and the next person that comes, he allows them to buy the homemade ones.They pick and choose who gets what dessert because they are lazy in making them even though people had no problem waiting! It's not a good look when you say you're tired of the orders right in front of your customers who just payed. Back to the chocolate covered strawberries, it was filled with chunks of knafeh, dried chunks of chocolate and strawberries with the leaves still on. It was not a pleasant experience for $16. The Dubia chocolate was overly sweet, and the inside which is supposed to be a bit moist with knafeh was dry and painful to eat. Overall 2/10 experience. I had to leave this review because this business is getting lazy and too comfortable giving the bare minimum. read more
