This is a review based only on "MY" experience. I have read the negative reviews on this dealership and can't speak to those instances because I did not experience them. With that, I'm also not discounting any of the negative reviews and would have no reason to doubt that those negative experiences happened. I did not include last names because I'm not sure if that's allowed here. Ok, onto the review. Sorry-it's going be long. Came in for an oil change today (2nd time coming here). Here's who I interacted with: Christina, Service Advisor: Very experienced service advisor. Excellent customer service skills, can "walk the walk" and "talk the talk". In the past, she had fully explained the fine details of my 4 year service warranty warning me of things "not to do" and what "to do" so that I don't accidentally void my warranty. She's very personable, professional, and feel very comfortable knowing my car is in capable hands. Today, she reminded me if I did NOT want my car washed because that's what I wanted last time. This is very important to me because I do not let anyone clean my car. When my car was finishing up, she did not disturb me when I was on the phone. Since she saw that I was on the phone, she notified Jeff Morgan, Service Advisor, that she was going to lunch, so that she could do a proper handoff. Hence, Jeff was going to wrap things up with my service visit. I found out about Christina thru a very positive Yelp review...they were right. Jeff, Service Advisor: I believe he is about 3 months new to the dealership. He is my 2nd "GO TO" Service Advisor if Christina is not in. If he's so new, why do I like him? He's professional, you can see sincerity in his willingness to help you, and very detail oriented. When Christina asked if I DID NOT want anyone to wash my car, Jeff quickly followed up with, "Hey Christina, Fred doesn't want anyone using his wiper blades and windshield washer fluid." That's attention to detail and excellent memory recall from my last visit. Another point for Jeff. One of the most important things about Jeff that I think is stellar is that he will not hesitate to tell you he DOES NOT know something, but he will seek out the correct resource and get you a proper answer. How many people do you know talk talk talk and refuse to tell you they don't know something rather than humbling themselves & just say they don't know, but will try to find you an answer? Lastly on this visit and my last visit, Jeff reviewed my bill and any necessary service that my car needed. And no, it wasn't one of those experiences where you go to Jiffy Lube or Oil Express and you cringe when they try to sell you everything and anything even when you know you don't need it. Jeff simply states, here is the service we perfumed on your car, this is the condition of your car's service needs, etc. Ted, Parts Mgr: Went to the Parts Dept. to order bulb. I was going to subtract a star for the less than stellar service I received in the Parts Dept. from my last couple of visits, but Ted followed up with my customer service issues in the Parts Department and I feel completely comfortable discussing AND receiving all my Parts Dept. needs through him directly. Hence, I added back the star to make it 5 stars for the review. Please note, I can't speak for the Sales Dept. Roy, Service & Parts Director: Formally introduced to him today. I noticed him closely observing my customer interaction with Christina and Jeff. Then I learned later of his title, position, and areas of responsibility. He is very friendly, but when it comes down to it, very professional, as the others I mentioned above. I have the impression that he many years of experience in the business. When I mentioned to him about my negative experience in the Parts Dept (& this is before I knew he was the Parts Director), he immediately wanted to know how my experience was. He is a very active listener, very patient to listen to my long story, and seemed ready to take action if my needs were not met. My needs at this point were met, I told him. Lastly, Roy left me today assuring me that if ever I needed anything, I simply need to seek him out. Larry, Internet Sales: During my wait while they were doing my oil change, I always make base camp at one of the counters with a chair, plug in my electronic devices, make business/personal calls, and finish miscellaneous paperwork. Thus, I have a lot of electronic devices and cords with me. As I was leaving, Larry stopped me and asked if I dropped "these". "These" were my $150 Jaybird Bluebud headphones. Larry said that they looked expensive and ... After that experience, I said, I'm going home to write this review. If you're looking for HONESTY AT A CAR DEALERSHIP, you should look for Larry. I'm not promoting that you buy a car here, I'm promoting the service and honesty that I personally received. If I was buying a new Nissan, I'd be looking for Larry. read more

As others have noted, they do not negotiate from their Internet prices, but still got a great deal. Carlos Gasper at Carson Nissan was very polite and courteous. He checked me in really quick for my scheduled service appointment and was very clear explaining all of my options. The waiting at all car dealerships is always too long for me especially with a small child. My only complaint is waiting on your car to get finish is a bit too long. read more

After struggling to get good customer service from other Nissan service center, me and my wife finally decided to visit Carson Nissan for my car's regular maintenance. The staff here were very helpful. Tiffany Techaira took very good care of us. She was very helpful in providing details of the service being done, regularly kept us updated via phone on the progress, and ensured that she takes good care of us until we were out of the service center. I would definitely recommend Nisan Carson and especially Tiffany if you need any help here. read more

Brought my Nissan Versa in for a transmission issue and was worried it was going to cost me an arm and a leg and leave me car-less for several days. I was delighted when it only took Chris Ayala and his team a day to not only diagnose, but also fix, my car with a computer update. The cost was far below what I had anticipated and I left very happily the next day with my car. Chris was friendly and I didn't have to wait at all when I brought my car in and picked it up. They didn't try to up-sell me on any extra repairs or anything. Just quickly fixed the issue I told them about. Excellent service and worth the extra drive! read more

Service department is awesome and fast. Only 30 dollars for oil change and car wash. Only took a half hour. I also asked about selling my Nissan versa to them and Jose was very honest. He gave me a quote and admitted I could get more at Carmax. It was a way better experience than where I bought the car, Glendale Nissan. read more

I just got home with my new 2012 fully loaded gorgeous car from Carson Nissan. It has really low mileage and was exactly what I wanted. I originally went to Toyota 2 doors down but the sales associate at Toyota was so unaccommodating I left. I'm a local business owner myself and there's nothing worse than bad customer service. I am a Prius fan. I have had 2 and was ready for #3. I saw one in the Nissan lot from the street and 3 hours later left with my new Prius from Nissan. Kevin, my sales man (so nice) had me on a test drive within 10 minutes of my arrival. We sat down in his office to hash out the trade in and the sales price in record time. The haggling process was so not intimidating. I have never felt so comfortable buying a car in my life. The Sales manager, Ervin, was very professional but not stiff like they usually are. The financing guy, Nelson was also really nice to deal with. I know these guys work on commission and usually try to sell you a bunch of stuff but I only wanted a good warranty and thats exactly what I got!!! No hard sell. I will come back here again and again for new cars. I will also tell everyone I know to buy a new Nissan here not only because these are great guys but they have a referral program. If I refer someone here and they buy a new nissan here the dealership pays my payment that month. Omg, I meet 20-30 new people in my job every week. I really hate to leave such a poor review especially since I have been to this location several times but this is the 2nd strike for me. I came to this location for a standard oil change nothing fancy because it's Monday and I've just been at work all day and I've got a baby waiting for me at home. I was greeted by a woman who asked what services I came for today and was told to stand near my vehicle. I stood there until she told me to go inside where I stood in front of Kevin for several minutes before he stated he was finishing something up and would assist me soon. Kevin then asked why I came in which I replied a standard oil change and was told it would take 1 hr at the most. But here I am writing this review almost 2 hrs later. I went to the front desk because I seen and heard several employees standing around. I spoke with Kevin who stated he just received my paper work which I could also see on the desk and was curious on how long he had my paperwork. Typically I'm updated by an employee but instead I had to search for an update. Poor service all around, I'll drive out further and pass my house for better service. read more

I had a really bad experience for my first dealer purchase,I purchased a pre owned vehicle before any paperwork I asked the salesman if the vehicle was fully inspected and his response was that all vehicle's get inspected before going on the lot,As im walking out to the truck has no alarm remotes or a spare key missing floor mats rear headrest bad tires with a really bad spare,weeks later I took it in for an inspection and ended up needing alot of work done,So I contacted the dealer since I purchased their warranty and guys were no help never again read more

My experiece went well with purchasing a car. We had Rene Sagastume and Andre Armenta. The staff were pleasant and not pushy. The only problem we experienced was the slowness of the finance department. If that process was not so grueling because of the long wait, my experience would have been totally wonderful. Everything we asked for we literally received. Rene patiently waited with us answering all questions we had, pulled carfaxes for every car we were interested in. I am typically very cynical when it comes to car-buying, having had several trying experiences, but this one was good. In fact having my name next to a positive rating of a dealership still makes my skin crawl, but I must push through. My wife and I were helped by Lai-ce Shum (pronounced 'Lai-See') and I was surprised by her easy going candor. This was the 3rd dealership we went to for a car and we drove home with a new one! Staff is very helpful, patient, and answered all our questions. We were able to test drive several cars and ask several questions about each. We came looking at a particular car we saw online, but ended up leaving with a different one after we learned of all our options. We went in with our research done, however, on vehicle information from Consumer Reports magazine and at least 2 months of struggling to decide what we could both agree on. I recommend at least going and taking a look. You can always leave if you are not feeling it! Excellent experience overall! read more

The first time i took my nissan altima for an oil change here everything went just fine but i did go with my family. The second time i went by myself and everything was fine at first. They wrote on the paper that i needed a bunch of things fixed and replaced. Two days pass and i was hearing a really bad noise when i turned the wheel. Turns out there was no oil in the power steering and they usually check that when you get an oil change. I took it to the mechanic and he said there was a leek! Was it just a coincidence that this happened two days after i got out of the dealer and told me i needed all these things done?! No. My car was working just fine before i took it there. Thanks to Jeff and the team, I always have such a great experience at Carson Nissan. I drop off my truck with no appointment, it goes in for an EXPRESS (I highlight, because other reviews would mistakenly disagree) oil change, less than an hour the truck comes out finished and clean. There are dealerships closer to my house/work in San Diego and this was my truck's second oil change that I had done in Carson; where I purchased the truck originally and I will continue to do so regardless of where I am living. I love my new truck and I love taking care of it. It is great to see people with that same passion regardless of who owns the vehicle. read more

I had a battery issue with my Nissan Altima and had contacted another local dealership first. The price they quoted for a battery was TWICE that of Carson Nissan. The other dealership also started talking about expensive electrical system issues - on a 2012 Altima?? Carlos Gaspar at Carson Nissan was honest and professional. Besides the great price he quoted for a new battery, he tested it first to determine if I even needed one (I didn't). We discussed the circumstances of my battery failure issue and figured out what was happening. I also got a great price on an oil change and a free car wash. It's such a crap shoot as a woman bringing in your car to get fixed. Everyone knows that "mechanics take advantage" - but every experience I've had a Carson Nissan has been great. We bought our Rogue here with the guarantee. They were all nice and friendly when we purchased the car but be aware when you return for any issues with your car. Our brand new vehicle had a clicking noise when we made turns. We dropped it off at the shop at 7am, then we called around 1pm and they said it was almost ready. We called again around 3pm and they said it would be ready in 30 min. We arrive at 345pm and the vehicle was not ready. We waited until after 414pm. We took the vehicle to a very important event that was 45 miles away. We drove half way to the event because the car was making a loud scratchy noise, a new noise never heard. We missed the very important event because we couldn't continue to drive. We took the vehicle back to the dealer shop at Carson Nissan and they told us that we had to end up at the back of the line again and that it might not be ready until tomorrow. This is horrible service. I think they had the car sitting all day and just did a last minute shitty job. read more

My wife and I visited Carson Nissan last Tuesday to try out the Nissan Rogue. We were greeted warmly by Justin Murillo. He was very helpful and accommodating. He took the time to answer all of our questions and we never felt rushed or pushed into buying or making a decision. We had told him that we would not be buying that day as we needed to do some more research and would come back over labor day weekend when there were more deals and give him a chance at our business. The same day Jeremy Rybak the Sales manager also came to meet us to explain some of the financial possibilities that were available to us. He also was thorough and easy to work with. Later in the week we found some deals on TrueCar.com and we called Justin with the numbers we had gotten giving him the chance to better this price. He did!! Within an hour Justin was able to get us a better pricing with more features. So, all we had to do is drive into the lot, fill out the paper work with the finance department and drive away with a shiny new Nissan Rouge with a full tank of gas.. The service dept advisors were great . They only recommend services that need to be done . Their prices are fair and the service is great. I took in my uncles nissan frontier for a oil change and to have the service dept check it out . He bought it used from a small used car lot so we wanted to make sure everything was working properly . Well the service advisors kept us informed on everything and even checked for any recalls . This nissan service dept is 1 of the best service dept i have been to. I own a gmc truck and none of the gm dealerships that i get my truck serviced at , have great service like carson nissan . Gm dealerships could learn a thing or two from carson nissan. Keep up the good work. read more

Service center was NO HELP ! Got an oil change and they told me I needed to change all filters. My grandfather went to change the filters himself a week after and turned up that there was NO FILTERS! How did they know I needed to change my filters.. Obviously they took them out. I called and told them and they said It must of been a error when making the Vehicle. very disappointed with the service dept. had an appointment for 10:45 for an oil change and tire rotation, got there early so I would be there on time, at 12:00 after asking about when it will be done I was told that it isn't even in the service dept yet and do I want to reschedule or be driven home! why have an appointment? told them just get my car and let me go to Jiffy Lube, I own a company that has purchased 7 Nissans in the last 30 months, mostly NV200 and my Rouge, none will ever be serviced by Carson Nissan, BTW look at all the 1 star reviews, you would think that they would take some corrective action. read more
