This shop does have a lot of Tesla on their lot so I guess they are pretty busy because it took them a week and a half to get my car returned back to me. overall the paint repairs looked good and passed the eye test. Unfortunately it wasn't until weeks later I found out a long scratch along the edge of my frunk, probably from the wet sander, and my front emblem missing! Now I have to go through Tesla SC again since the shop cannot work with me directly on the actual service rendered. read more

I have ended up with substandard repair and a damaged bumper and over $600 of additional expense which I had to cough up. In addition to the insurance reimbursement. If I could give negative stars, I would. First impressions matter, and the front desk sets the tone for any business. Unfortunately, my experience with Carol was extremely disappointing. From the moment I walked in to drop off my car for an estimate, she seemed visibly annoyed to help me. She took the intake sheet, crumpled it into a ball in front of me, and acted as if my presence was an inconvenience. I remained polite throughout the interaction, but ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere. When I informed her of this, she dismissively said "Okay, bye." When I pointed out how rude she was being, her response was a sarcastic "Thank you!" It's disheartening to think this is the kind of customer service State Farm refers people to. I strongly urge management or ownership to take a hard look at who is representing your business at the front desk. A toxic front-end experience is enough to drive customers away before any actual work is done. Trust your gut when you walk into a place--this one felt like a factory of unhappy people. As with many others, I have exceed the rental car limit because of one excuse from them after another. It will be over a month since I dropped off my car for repairs and they still haven't finished. Their customer service is horrible and their communication is worst. Dropped off on 12/11 was quoted 2 weeks. 01/08 they called me and said the repairs were done and the car just needed to be washed. I show up on 01/09 to pick up my car. Now they say it will not be ready until Monday 01/12. No call saying it isn't ready, no replying to text, nothing. read more

I hit a deer with my brand new Tesla and this was one of the few that would work on them near me. They worked with my insurance agency so it was pretty seamless as far as that goes. I got weekly updates via texts, which was a nice touch. I can't speak on value because it all went to insurance but so far the quality of the work seems top notch(only had it back about a week) They most likely under promise and over deliver on a finish date but got mine back about a week early. A picture is worth a thousand words....here is my car the day I brought it in for body work on the front bumper...and here is my car when I picked it up after the work was done. Not sure why the back paint is missing when they repaired the front of the car?! "Kenny" said it might have happened during the "wash process". "Ashley" (team leader) said it was a paint recall issue and sent me on a wild goose chase with Hyundai that did nothing but waste my time. The only thing they were willing to do to make things right was spray some primer over it. I can do that myself in 5 mins and know how badly that will look. STAY FAR AWAY FROM CHANTILLY AUTO BODY! I can echo the comments of others regarding the slow speed of service and lack of communication. You have to call them, repeatedly, to get any information. Also, they are not to be trusted. They missed the date that they communicated to the insurance company that was paying for the repairs and a car rental. I called and asked specifically about the rental coverage. I was told by their customer service rep that the rental would be extended and covered and "not to worry about it". They never communicated the extended date with the insurance company and in the end, the insurance company refused the pay for the extra days of rental coverage. The rental car company then billed me. Chantilly Auto Body refused to stand by what they promised to me. They set the original date with the insurance company, they missed the date, they promised me coverage, and they failed to confirm the extended rental. All of it was their fault. They refused to act with integrity and cover the cost of the rental. Finally, after the repair was done, they refused to release my car to be because they hadn't received final payment from the insurance company. Excuse me? You are holding my car because someone else owes you money? It wasn't even my insurance company. I had to argue with the manager and wait for him to get in contact with the insurance company. Be warned, this their standard practice. The manager acted like he did me a favor because he released my car when the insurance company still owed $60. He even told me that there were several cars in his shop for over a week that were waiting on payment from insurance companies. I don't know about you but I don't want to pay $50 per day for a rental car because Chantilly Auto Body is arguing with an insurance company. Absolutely ridiculous. I brought my car in for repair on 01/08/2025 and was given an estimated repair time of 2 and a half weeks. I understand it's just an estimate but it should not have taken a month and a half to repair a honda civic. I was able to retrieve my car on 02/24/2025. Had I known the repairs would take this long- I would have taken it to a different shop. I had already reached my rental car coverage by insurance on 02/04/2025. And had to pay $800 out of pocket for the rest of the duration I had my rental car. Then when I asked to speak to the manager on the day of my retrieval, they had already left the shop but gave me a $50 discount on my $500 deductible and said that's "all they can do"- what a slap in the face. I was notified that the manager would give me a call the next day but it's been over a week and not a single phone call. Also, they originally quoted me $3,300 for the damages then sent an invoice of $7,100 to my insurance company- this is insanely shady. That cost should have pretty much deemed my car totaled. They continuously pushed back the time on when the car was going to be ready- one day they would say it just had to go through the wash, then they said they found an issue with the fender and had to replace, then it went through "quality control" for 3 whole days only to let me know my car "failed quality control", then they had to finally just reset my airbag lights- come to find out, it wasn't resetting, so now they had to order a new seatbelt which took another 3 days. Why're you running the car through "quality control" before everything looks proper? And I swear if you come here commenting "sorry, give us a call, we'll make it right!" Because clearly you have no intention of doing so. Go somewhere in Manassas to get your car fixed, they'll probably have your car ready earlier than expected. read more

I have been a happy customer for 11 years. They do really great quality work and they do it efficiently. But it seems like it is different nowadays. My experience is has totally gone the opposite way. Customer service is unprofessional. The person I call gets offended when I asked for details on the repair status and she gets defensive when I say, factually, that the repair work is taking more than their estimated number of business days (e.g. 20 business days from the day parts arrive). She starts giving excuses such as "these things are more complicated than it seems. Actually, I have a detailed job estimate and the hours allocated for the actual repair work is only 36 hours, or less 5 business days (assuming a 40-hour work week). One cannot help but wonder what is happening the rest of the time. It is already 4.5 weeks or 23 business days since the parts arrived. One can only conclude that the shop has gotten too big, too busy to be able to provide the kind of service an individual (vice corporate) customer can expect to receive. read more

I think this is very slow service and parts are not ordered on time. We are dealing with one car for all these months. Because this is a Tesla approved, and insurance sent my car to this location. My door was smash by me and they did a great job installing the door but when the handle on my door did not work I had someone look at it and they said the part would take 6 months to order. when I want the door handle fix. I had a car accident and State Farm insurance recommended this place, however the service is terrible. I had to come back after they said their done. I dont think they do any QA, because on my way back home, the hood sensor keep beeping every 3 minutes. I had to come back and they couldn't fixed it. They just didn't want to admit that they made mistakes. I took it to dealership and got it fixed. They forgot to cleanup the interior, the inside door is filthy with finger prints and boots prints. I went through insurance to fix cosmetic damage to the side of my car and I'm very satisfied with the job they did, I don't even think a trained professional would able to tell there ever was a ding to that particular area. Service wise, the Geico rep, the body shop, and Entreprise staff were nice and courteous. I did not experience any bad attitudes like other customers have. They did accidentally spill a little paint on a passenger seat but I took the car back and they cleaned it up nicely within minutes. I wish I took before-and-after photos because the body work is really good. Hmm... I have some mixed feelings about this auto body shop. They did a good job of fixing my car at a very reasonable price but I'm really questioning the business ethics here. Ok so a bit of background- I got into an accident a while ago and needed to get my car's bumper and left headlight replaced. Brought my car here and it was fixed and ready within two days but I wasn't able to pick it up until a week later from the dropoff date... and this is where things kind of go downhill. When I left my car here my tank was completely full. After I picked it up, the tank was only HALF full and there was at least an extra 150 miles on the odometer. I completely understand the need for test drives but this is too far-fetched and it's clear as day to me that my car was driven multiple times. There were also dirty footprints on the driver's side floor mat and strands of hair, which weren't mine, all over the front seats.... Yup, they saved me a lot of money for this repair but I feel taken advantage of. It's an uncomfortable thought knowing that someone drove my car around without my permission. read more

I went there for an estimate to repair a rusted section of my frame. About a 10" section. They quoted me $3300 to repair it. All I needed was a small section to be welded in with a fresh piece or pieces of steel. I decided all I need to do it go to a welder. That's it. Very simple. I got it repaired for only $350 by a professional and experienced welder. A true craftsman. The repair was done extremely well to a point that I could jack the car up in the repaired area. Bottom Line: I paid only 10% of what this company quoted me to repair my car and it was completed in only 2 hours at a 90% savings. They quoted me 28 hours labor and all it took was 2 hours from another company. Such a shameful business practice. I hope you all understand how much of a rip off quote this company gave me as described above. Buyer beware and be cautious with this firm. read more

TESLA Nightmare!!! I put my Tesla Model S in this shop with 49,000 miles and it was returned to a damaged high voltage battery after 2 Months of neglect in their outdoor lot. I dropped my vehicle off January 3rd with Chantilly Autobody for repairs to my vehicle, I alerted the shop on January 16th of the battery on my vehicle approaching 0%. on January 18th my battery completely discharged to 0% at which point I notified the shop that my battery was fully discharged. My vehicle remained fully discharged from the 18th to the 23rd of January. Only after I sent documented communication via screen shot on the 23rd of January from my Tesla APP alerting the body shop for the second time that my battery was my vehicle charged, after being fully discharged for 6 days. Fast forward 2 weeks, I drive by the body shop to put eyes on my Vehicle. To my surprise my front left tire is completely flat and the vehicle is sitting on the rim. I make the shop aware, and they assure me they will "fix it". 7 days later I return to put eyes on my vehicle again, and my Vehicle is still sitting on the Rim with a completely flat tire. My Vehicle was returned to me on March 5th at which point I made the "service tech" aware of the treatment of my vehicle and I would need to take my vehicle to Tesla to ensure no damage was done to my Vehicle while in their possession. Upon inspection at the tesla Service center, it was determined that my battery will need to be replaced for $15,000 and their Service Manager has stopped responding. I will be perusing Legal guidance to resolve this matter. read more

Never had such unprofessional service. I would give a 0/5 if it were an option. We dropped off our Toyota Sienna Minivan, in driving condition to Chantilly Auto Body. After repairs to passenger side doors, which took 3 weeks instead of 6 days, the car wasn't drivable. The auto body shop chose to have the car towed to Lexus instead of Toyota and it sat at Lexus for a week without being assessed. I personally had to go to Lexus to find out what was happening and they told me the transmission was shot on my 100K ( 7 year old Sienna). Chantilly Auto Body refused to help have the car moved to Toyota for evaluation and harassed us for payment as they had completed there exterior repairs. They refused to see any problem with the fact that the car was not functional. They refused to take it to Toyota. They refused repeatedly in a most unprofessional manner that they had done their part and they would not help us further. We reached out to Toyota Ourisman Chantilly, where we bought the minivan, and they most graciously towed the vehicle to them, evaluated the vehicle in the same day and found that an engine fuse had been blown during the door repair process. They replaced it and had the car working normally within hours. The lack of common sense in sending the car to Lexus instead of Toyota, the frustration with no communication and their harassment of us for payment, when they left us with a non working vehicle are completely appalling! The interaction with them leaves my family feeling as if they do not care at all for their customers and take no ownership in doing the right thing. I have recently found out that Toyota stopped doing service with them and created their own body shop, due to overpriced services and unprofessional relationship from Chantilly Auto Body. I would highly recommend Ourisman Chantilly Toyota - 5 star Chantilly Auto Body gets a 0 star. read more

My car repairs were told to be 3-4 days. It took an extra 4 days. Which I explained was PERFECTLY OK, I understand that repairs can be tricky and part shipments can be faulty or late. When I had asked if they had my correct phone number and wish that I was notified, I was immediately yelled by a man named Raphael. I once again told him it was ok that it was late, I had just wish I knew so I could tell the car rental company. But no, he continued to be aggressively defense then interrupted me with "JUST COME AFTER 10 OK BYE" and hung up. He was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. My parents and relatives lived nearby and had been coming here for years. We also recommend to our friends as well because theyve always been so friendly despite some delays. I got my car fixed here from a car accident I was in where a lady rear ended me. My insurance company works with this auto body and I have no clue why. I got the car fixed and at first they said it would be a week for the work to be completed. Then it was going to take a month and then it end up being finished in a little over a week. I think they take advantage of insurance companies since they have the rental cars place there too. They want you to use their rentals as long as possible. The car they gave me was a real piece of crap car that smelled funky. On top of it, it was a KIA. No one wants to drive a KIA, not even KIA owners. Sorry....but it is true and you know it! The worst part of this whole thing is the customer service. They had an employee leave that we were working with and never told us. We were getting pissed when this person never returned our calls after leaving many VMs on her direct line. If an employee leaves, please change the message and reroute the calls. Anyway, so we finally get a hold of someone else after 2 weeks and they said Ohhh yeah she left and we didn't even think that people would still be contacting her. They assigned us to another employee and it is even worse. I am still waiting on a part for my car that was fixed in July and it is now September. The part has been ordered like 2x-3x now but somehow it got lost, it was the wrong part, or whatever other excuse they could come up with that day of my car status. There work seems to be decent but I would never ever come back to this place ever again!!! I advise anyone who is considering this place to go some place else. Took my Honda here and they told us we needed a new bumper so we left the car to repair. When we picked up the Honda the bumper was not put on correctly. When we pointed it out they said we would have to pay them again to take it off and put new brackets on. Then they sent us a text a few days later saying they messed up the final invoice and if we didn't pay them $400 more dollars they would take us to collections. This review is not for the body shop but for another business they have - uhaul. I rented a truck from them this past Monday because they're close to my house. Did the 24/7 thing with self check in, and found that the dollys and furniture pads I requested were not in the truck. I went inside to inquire about it and was told that they don't have those things there and I had to go to another location (about a mile away and even though my reservation didn't say that). Strike 1. Dropped the truck off and did the 24/7 thing again and it came up with a $25 cleaning fee. I continued with the return, disputing the charge and expecting a call back the next day. No call received. Called today (3.5 days after returning the truck) and they said they didn't have access to my receipt and to call the 800#. Called them and they told me the local location hadn't closed my contract yet. Called CAB again and explained what I was told. The person I was talking to was trying to explain what the person who handles the rentals was saying (I could hear her in the background) and I asked to speak with her directly. She last picked up the line and I explained what was going on. She finally understood and looked up my contract. Seems that since i disputed the cleaning fee the contract wasn't closed. When I asked her why I didn't get a call back she said that this wasn't her priority and that she only looked at UHaul once a week or so. Strike 2. She further explained that they have lots of cars in there for repair and that's why she doesn't pay much attention. Strike 3 - that's not my problem. All I know is that I rented a truck from your location and haven't gotten a receipt. After some back and forth she said she would close out my contract and email my receipt. 6 hours later I still haven't gotten it. After a nightmare experience with a different auto shop, my practically still brand new 2014 Kia was brought here to repaint the passenger side. The last shop did a terrible paint job which resulted in tons of "pinning". The paint job quality is better thanks to Chantilly Auto Body, however, they don't take much care with over-spray. My car has Modesta coating on it, and now instead of just reapplying Modesta to the passenger side of the car, the ENTIRE car needs paint prep and reapply of the coating. I have to call them for updates/status every time as they never call me with any updates of any kind. My wife just called today for another status, and she felt they rushed her off the phone in a hurry. We are still left with an unclear status about the car, the repairs needed, and estimated time the car might be ready. In addition 5 minutes into driving, car's tire pressure sensor in the area that was worked on now has a fault. On new wheel was not initially given a tire cap, and instead was finally given one that does not fit and pulled randomly off of a car. I've been so bummed about this ever since this awful chick drove into me while I was parked!!! U know the type - they're 1000% in the wrong but they come @ you screaming & yelling. Ugh. That's another review though. For the Yelp where we can review human beings. Jorge was the rep who helped us out. First, he began the inspection right on time. Officially first time in history - a punctual mechanic! Jorge was INCREDIBLE. Extremely professional, thorough, courteous & quick. Honestly, what else can you ask for? I dreaded this appt so much but it was so very painless. We were in & out in less than 23 mins. I timed him dude! Jorge took the time to explain things to my vehicullary (this is totally a word folks) challenged self. If I ever need an estimate in the future, I will be back here again. **STOLEN ITEM FROM CAR** Dropped my car off for minor body work. Realized I left my watch in the car hidden in the center console.
