The worse customer service I think I've ever had at any clothing store by far! I had purchased several outfits and a few onesies, Once I came home to wrap up the gifts I noticed one of the onesies was used. I didn't think to look at the bottom of the feet while I was purchasing thinking I was buying NEW clothing so I go back to the store (an hr later) which was a drive. When I was returning the item the worker seemed bothered that I was returning it, gave me an attitude and I felt like I was wasting her time (worker was pregnant, maybe wasn't in the mood to give good customer service) Had that been me I would had apologize to the customer and also apologize for the inconvenience of driving back to the store. My little guy is going up in size and although we pretty much set on clothes, he needed some baby jeans and church clothes. I knew from the EM's I received that the store was having a good sale for a holiday weekend and I looked at some stuff online ahead of time so for the most part, I went in knowing exactly what I was looking for. I went on a Monday afternoon and it was completely dead in the store. One person was leaving as I walked in, but that was it. There was one staff member working who greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I asked if they had a display of baby jeans beside what I was seeing but they didn't. I was super disappointed. They only had a few pairs of jeans in little sizes, but they weren't the size I needed. She offered to order online for me but I figured I would do it myself so I could look for other items. I looked through the store to find some church clothes and I found a couple of cute outfits, including one I had picked out online but when I saw the price, and the sale, I was surprised to see the outfit was going to be cheaper if I bought it online. Since it would be cheaper online, I opted not to purchase anything in the store and just purchased when I got home. The store was clean, put together well, and it was easy to find all the different sections and clothing sizes, I am just disappointed they didn't have a variety and with the prices. Now I know, and I can just continue to shop online. Oh yeah, and I went in with my guy in a stroller and I couldn't make it through a few of the displays... at a baby store where a stroller should be common. But if I can't make it through with a stroller, a wheel chair can't make it through. read more

I was just in here (6/28 @ 7:00PM) looking for clothes for my 2 daughters. I used to love shopping here due to their great selection of discounted clothes. I spend a. Average of $200 every time I used to come here, and would receive enough clothes for almost a year. I have been a long time member receiving discount coupons via e-mail as well. Unfortunately, tonight I walked in. I was greeted by 2 employees behind the counter. However, that was the only interaction I received. I was obviously looking for something, and wasn't offered any help while in the store. I did however learn a lot about Carter's policies, due to the staff talking to each other behind the counter. I learned that: Carter's has a new Request for Time off policy, a story about a family who supposedly had to pay for damage done by their child in a family store, and I heard the lady at the counter tell a child not to climb on the clothing tables. I will probably just continue to shop online. The computer has better customer service than this store. read more

I didn't know this store existed near my new home until a couple of days ago. I went in and immediately went to the clearance area. Great deals over there! I have a problem...I'll admit that. I love buying clothes for my daughter; even more than I buy for myself. Anyways, I found some cute pj's regular 34.00 .. on clearance for 8.00, plus an additional 40%! Whoo hoo. So, I shop Yada yada. Well checkout time comes and goes. I come back in about 3 minutes later to ask a harmless question and it's like the nice lady that was at the register to check me out had been replaced with a rude older lady. The sad part is that they were the same lady! I didn't know what had changed within that brief time period, but I didn't appreciate it. Instead of getting worked up and what not, I decided to go ahead and thank her for her time and leave. All in all, the experience was good until the attitude swap at the end. read more

I went into the store about 8pm and was greeted by KALAINA who was just an amazing associate! From the greet to helping me pick something out for my daughter .. she was professional, genuine and just made the experience a good one. When I was ready to check out I asked her if she by chance had a coupon to share lol and she mentioned that she saw one on the website. Helped me find it and saved me some money. I spent $20 for an outfit and bows. Wonderful customer service and an overall great experience !! Thank you !! read more

Store is always well kept. I also like that there's a restroom inside the store so we don't have to leave in the middle of shopping.

It takes a lot for me to complain..I mean alot..having said that I will never shop this location again and the great thing about it is that I can go back to ordering all of my Grand-Daughters Clothing online. =D When Existing local Units lose customers because of poor customer service they lose profits. Employee's hours are cut, turnover rates are higher than usual which leads to inconsistencies and eventually the store closes because of a decline in same store/unit level sales. Meanwhile an analyst at the corporate office sits back takes a look at the demographic data for the area and Wonders Why this store is not prospering or why is this store in danger of closing- Here's a couple of reasons why based on my experience shopping here. 1.computers do not discriminate the only color they care about is Green 2.Poor Customer Service 3.acknowledging one customer over and above another 4. Do not stand their staring at someone who is looking at items to purchase. It's creepy. 5. If you see that a customer is having a hard time making a decision try asking them if they need help or offering a suggestion. This is a perfect opportunity for you as the associate to increase sales. You should always treat everyone the same irregardless of your preconceived ideologies of their socioeconomic backgrounds or what ever the perception of them is that you are struggling with in your mind. Nine times out of Ten the issue is with you and not them. Not sure what the deal is in Eastlake but some of us have been raised to stand up and... Fight Fight Fight... for our Rights..People need to take Note of how they are being treated, start reaching out and making complaints to business Corporate Offices (If Applicable)your local consumer affairs reporters, representative for the NAACP/ ACLU the Better Business Bureau and lastly but not least the attorney generals office in order for real change to happen. read more

I don't write many reviews, however I want to thank Paige who took well care of me when shopping clothing for my baby. She was very helpful by giving me options on what to buy. I wish everyone would work like her! You can really tell when someone cares about their job. I will most definitely shop here again. read more

Terrible costumer service. I have been going to this Carter's for the last 3 years and trust me when I tell you that despite the multiple changes in associates, they just never get better. They are rude and don't even greet you upon your entrance, even when the store is empty. They also show no desire to help you look for sizes on the floor, back, or other stores as they often say "that's all we have!" This store is also pretty empty. It never has the sizes I am looking for so I always have to end up ordering online. This store is also NOT stroller friendly. I would recommend you go to the H street store instead. read more

I shop here WAAAAAAY too often. Cute clothes which are always discounted. Plus they also email 15% or 20% off entire purchase coupons all the time. Staffs friendly and helpful. A couple times they were out of my sons size in pants which is a bummer, but for the most part they're usually well stocked. read more

just left the store at 2pm here on tuesday. the worker didn't greet us look up or acknowledge our presence in the store. saw lots of big sales and deals but she didn't even mention anything not a peep. bad customer service wanted to get an outfit for my son but no thanks. rather go somewhere else for sure. might want to make sure your employees are communicative if you want business. just sayin. read more

Don't come here. Bad customer service. Manager was rude to her employee. I bought $175 worth of clothes and I'm suppose to receive $10 for every $25 bucks I spend and I received nothing. Employee kept it to herself. I heard about the promotion they had and that is why I purchased that much clothes to receive cash back to use on my next purchase but instead the cashier decided to keep it for herself. I shop here at this Carters all the time it's very convenient since I live right up the street! However I bought two pairs of pajamas here and washed accordingly to directions and they shrunk two inches and don't fit my son so now I have pajamas I can't return because the stores policy not (worn or washed), I've worked in retail and think it's complete garbage that I can't get another size! When they as a company should be able to accept it and damage it out. Now I get the not worn or washed but that's not my fault they shrunk two inches and look like high waters and yes I know my sons size lol read more

I love that there's a Carter's in the area now:) when they were brand new, it did seem to take the cashiers a bit to get the hang of things, and some of their sale prices were a bit confusing, like a $5 sign on a table would be intended for ONLY THE BOTTOM CLOTHING, not the entire table. But I've kept going back, and it's actually better now:) everyone's nice, and they have some great stuff for my son. I love that they have a lot in the clearance bc my 9 mo old is just growing so fast, he leaves his clothes too quickly!:( but I find a lot of $5-$12 onsies and sets that are cute! read more

Terrible service. I just asked the employee a question about where to find size 4T Christmas outfits for boys and another employee interrupted and said everything they have for that size is on the front table. So I go back to the front table and ask again because all they had on that table was up to 24 months. When I asked again, the same employee said she will help me "search it" with her fingers gesturing a quotation while she said the word search. And sure enough when we got to the table, it was for babies up to age 24 months. I eventually found a different section for it in the middle of the store. It's ok if they don't know but to have a rude attitude about it when I just inquired if they can point me to the right direction was unacceptable. This is by far the worst experience I've had at a Carters store, I'll be shopping online or go out of my way to another Carters location if possible just to avoid rude people like the ones that work in this one. read more

Came into the store for the first time today just to pick up a quick gift. Well there was nothing absolutely quick about it. The store wasnt busy, there was a total of 5 people, two paying two in line and myself. It literally took me 40 minutes to pay. Completely ridiculuos! They only have two registers and when I asked if they had plans on adding any additional registers as they werent busy and it took so long to pay for 3 items, they said no. Needless to say I will not be returning. I also aske for a gift receipt which appeared to be a completely foreign concept to the cashier. read more
