I called North Face corporate to see what hoops I have to jump through for the so called life time warranty. They told me just bring it to the North Face Store and they will ship it back to get repaired free if it's a defect from normal wear and tear. I go the store I was warmly and sympathetically greeted. They helped me fill out the return sheet and I was done. They will have it shipped to my home in 6-8 weeks just in time . Just before the harsh New England winter. It's refreshing to see a company stand behind their products. No they are not the cheapest and I don't want a cheap product. I went in with a specific mission, to buy a pair of 514 jeans as quickly as possible. The outlet carries Levi's basic line, you won't find the higher priced Levi's Vintage Clothing, but they do a great job of keeping sizes in stock. I was able to find my pair of 514s within 5 minutes of walking in and there was no wait for the fitting room. For $30 it was a good deal. What really impressed me was the employees knowledge of Levi's product. After talking with me for a few minutes about what i liked about the 514s I was purchasing he recommended me another pair from a different line that I would never have considered otherwise (501 shrink to fit). I'm always weary of the add-on sales but after trying them on I had to admit he was right. The fit was great and the denim was a might better quality. I ended up leaving with both pairs of jeans for under $80.

My friend and I waited for 10 minutes for a dressing room while the cashiers talked of boys, and rings, and pretty things behind the counter AFTER we already asked them for a room. Fast-forward to when we're checking out; she doesn't use my or my friend's coupon, my friend doesn't get the sale prices, they forget to take off the "buzzer alarm things" and I'm cut off midway through my sentences. And amazingly, all this was done while STILL talking of the apparently problematic boyfriends. Amazing talent, these girls have.
