This is a review of the online return process, which they made it seamless here. I brought the items my wife requested to be returned and what I thought was the emailed barcode, but it wasn't correct. The associate helped me find my wife's account and locate the items being returned from her order. They then scanned with item and presented the refund back on my card very quickly. There's a great selection of kids' clothing here so I know where to go if I'm purchasing for my daughter or picking up an online order. read more

This Carter's store is located in The Outlets of Orange near the North end by Guitar Center and Dave and Busters. It has a nice layout with easy to find sizes and styles. The customer service is fantastic with a greeting to customers as they enter the store. There is always a few follow ups to see if they can assist you in any way. They have competitive pricing and lots of cute styles. They also have accessories and toys. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program to start earning. read more

I absolutely love Carter's & this location always has the cutest things and the best prices. The store is very organized and clean with plenty of natural light which makes it very inviting. They have the boy stuff of the right and the girl stuff on the left. They also sell toys. Today I specifically came in for some boots for my 5 year old son and due to their tidiness, I found them right away. The line was pretty long but both cashiers worked very quickly and efficiently. The cashier that attended me was very nice and also helped me with my rewards program. Overall a great experience and my son loves his new boots. read more

I love shopping for baby shower gifts at Carter's. With my friend's baby due next month, I knew it was time to start shopping. And when I received an email telling me about the 50% off sale, I couldn't get to Carter's fast enough! I really like looking at the wonderful baby clothes here. This is a fairly large Carter's location, and it was fun seeing all of the matching clothes and accessories. Not realizing that the sale started a few days ago, I found some of the items a bit picked over. But there were still amazing things to be found all over the store. Being my first visit to this location, I was pleasantly surprised by the huge clearance section in the back, with some adorable baby outfits at $5.99! This is a really great place to stock up on clothes. I ended up buying the cutest matching baby outfits and blanket. With a gift bag to match, I think I found the perfect gift for my friend's upcoming bundle of joy. This store has a good selection at great prices. With plenty of sales and coupons, this is really a fun store to shop for baby! read more

Service was lacking at this location, no wonder why no one really shops here. The selection was okay, but feeling of being welcome by the staff was in need of training. Had a couple of things that were gifts and wanted to exchange but was unable to. The one star is for the manager Kristen who made it seem like I was wasting her time and not a buying customer. I normally don't review stores but this one is a must. I needed to get my son some stuff and decided to visit when they opened so it would be less crowded. They are scheduled to open at 10am and the staff didn't show up until 10:40. Everyone had to wait until they got what they needed for the cash register, etc. I underarms that at times one is late but that was over the top. Not returning. read more

The reviews seem to be consistently poor with this Carter's store. I had purchased over $90.00 worth of clothing for my daughter at the Carter's in the Tustin Marketplace (mind you the store was 50-60% off so I truly spent more than $90); however, they only had one particular size in a jelly shoe that I wanted to buy, the manager (at least that's who she told me she was) rang me up with another size shoe (of the same style, just different size) and said "if they give you problems tell them the manager used a different size). I get home, the shoes fit, but I doubt I'd get use out of them for the whole summer so I decided to EXCHANGE for a bigger size and ran to the Block of Orange. I didn't have a small bag so I dumped them in my purse and ran out the door. As soon as I walked into the store I saw two sales associates sitting at the front and pulled out the shoes and proceeded to tell them the story about the Tustin store. I'm assuming the manager took over and handled my transaction. She asked me if I had a receipt to which I said "no, cant you look it up with my phone number?" and then for a split second thought I had it in my wallet so I pull out my wallet and begin to look for the receipt, I don't have it. As she's looking at me up and down with disgust in her eyes (maybe I looked homeless, I had been home sick for two days) she said "didn't they email it to you?" I was so excited at the suggestion, that yes, yes they did email me my receipt so I get in my purse to pull out my phone and OMG -- I left my phone in my car at Valet, yes I'll pay $7.00 to park my car if its saving my sanity...keep with me. OMG!!!!! You'd think that I was holding the store up at gunpoint with the looks and comments this associate was giving me. She said "I dont know why a MANAGER would do something like that she knows that's not procedure for our stores so I'll need to call over there and have a talk with the manager." Okay, please call them...waiting. Another associate walks over with her cell phone in her hand and places it down at the register opposite side of me and bumps the manager to read it, clearly I cant read what she's placed in front of the manager but it was clearly directed at me as she shakes her head in agreement and mumbles something as she's searching my receipt. She said "you're receipt isnt going to do anything for me because these shoes arent even on this receipt." I say, "that's odd, I saw her grab another pair of the same shoe just a different size and used that barcode to ring me up." Again, the stares and disgust from this chicks face! I finally say "if its an issue I can go to the Tustin store, I was just there on Friday but the only issue is that they dont have the size I need!" to which she says "I'm trying to find the skew they used because nothing's coming up on your receipt, I'm going to have to call this store and talk to them!" Girlllll....you better call this store and talk to them because I'm tired of hearing that come out your mouth! After about 15 minutes of her giving me the side eye, glaring at me for thinking it would be okay to do an exchange AT HER STORE and her being unable to find something to ring up she manually did the exchange and for good measure wanted to make sure that she gave me a receipt that said I was unable to make another return of that item! Really, you think I went through all of that to come back and return them again? Your $9.00 shoes arent worth the issues you gave me to make a return. I have NEVER been treated so poorly in my life. I was almost embarrassed had I known I was doing nothing wrong to begin with. I'm sure my face said WTF but instead of acting like an idiot I took my $9.00 shoes and left and said to myself "I'll be sure to write a review of this chick." Maybe its the clientele that frequents that mall, or my sickly appearance or that I wasn't fearful that she was "going to call that store and have a talk with the manager" but this chick was a joke! I'll never return to this store again. I'll go to Carter stores where I belong, you know Tustin Ranch and Irvine and whatnot, at least there I dont get side eyes and comments from the peanut gallery employees. But hey! Thanks for finally doing your job and exchanging the shoes for me. In general the Southern California Carter sales associates aren't very friendly. Not sure why Carters doesn't do a better job at training their employees? But at this store I've never truly been helped and they are always rude. Also the selection at this location is mainly geared towards baby clothing. There is very little toddler and big kid selection. Unfortunately it's the closest store to me. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I could. I was standing under the line starts here line and several customers had skipped me in line and went up to the counter. Finally I said something and said excuse me but I believe I was next I've been here waiting in line. They customer yells at me that he was in line too. So I looked at the associate and asked does this LINE STARTS HERE mean nothing. Her name was Violet she just looks and me and turns back to helping the guy and he yells at me I don't know. Am I surrounded by stupid people? Not coming here anymore or giving carters my money anymore. Where is the customer service. At least say I'm sorry for the wait I'll be right with me. Kristin the manager took a lot of time to help me shop for gifts and told me about their promotion. She was also able to apply a $10 coupon to my purchase. I will not be returning to this Carter's location. I was hassled when doing an exchange which I had a receipt for and was purchasing more merchandise than the value of the return. As a regular customer I was less than pleased by the service I received. I will be back at the Tustin or Anaheim Carter's locations for my son or future gift needs. read more

My husband and three year old visited the store on March 18th at around 4-6pm. It was our first time at this store. We loved the selection and prices. My daughter was in heaven. Towards the end of our shopping there were two associates standing less than maybe three to four feet away from another. If I could hear both of them, they could hear one another. Within an eight minute window they asked us, "Are you ready?" Very robotically about six times. I have a three year old I am trying to negotiate with and one of the reps literally asked three times in two minutes. My daughter wanted a wooden puzzle and we were talking and she even interrupted us to ask the same question for the third time in two minutes!! I looked at her and said, "I am not ready, almost but not yet." After the second time. Than she walks over to my husband and asks him. I replied, "we are together and we are not ready." I had just told her twice before that I was not ready. The two of them combined gave me anxiety. They hovered and didn't let me finish my shopping in peace. I didn't like that. I have a mouth and I can see the register. If you ask me once, I know you're the go to person or people.The service needs a little help here. The question shouldn't be asked to the same couple so many times in such a small window. I wanted to leave my stuff and walk out I felt so rushed by the two of them. They need to coach their employees to say, "Are you ready, if not please let me know when you are." Something other than the robotic question I received so many times in so little time. It's too much! I felt bad for one of the girls that asked the most. She seemed nice but the fact that she followed me around asking me the same thing made me want to run out of there. Someone might mistake this as racial profiling or something other than trying to be nice and provide good CS. It was beyond excessive and repetitive. An amazing store like this deserves a nicer touch on the service. read more

They have horrible customer service, and instead of helping you they just stand behind the counter watching you. I'm guessing they must have some theft issues, but that's no excuse for making the shopping experience so uncomfortable. I came in today looking for new dresses for my daughters since this heat calls for new waredrobes. Right when I came in I was immediately greeted by the cashiers with a friendly welcome. It didn't take me too long to find the girls area since the store was very neat and organized. As I scrabbled around through the dresses I was asked by one of the employees if I needed assistance, this was perfect timing since I noticed my daughters size wasn't on the rack. She took the time to go in the back and bring out one in her size, thank goodness ! By far the best carter's I have visited, made it easy and fast ! read more

Bad management = poor customer service. I've been going to this place on and off for the past six years. Every time ive been the staff are always miserable B****s. I seriously had an employee have a passive aggressive argument with me about using a phone number to make sure I get coupons and then basically talked to me like I didn't understand how the coupons worked and proceeded to pointed to the coupon information on the counter. she was also very snide about a question on an outfit. I would usually say "well maybe they are just having a bad day " but everyday is a bad day for the staff at this Carters. This place screams poor work morale. I hope they are getting paid well because I would hate to be stuck in that place. I can only imagine the constant cattiness. On my way out I was being eyeballed by this employee like I was going to take something. I only make a trip to this Carter's when I want to remember how miserable the girls at highschool were of if there is a really good sale. read more

When I looked up Carter's on Yelp, I was surprised that this store location had a few negative reviews. I always enjoy shopping at this Carter's location when I'm at the Block. Each time I have visited, I have encountered attentive and cheerful workers. This last weekend I had an exceptional experience. One of the sales associates, Laura (I hope I got the name right!), was extremely helpful when I visited the store to shop for an outfit for my son to wear at a family party. She let me know about the current sales and gave me cute suggestions on what to buy. I felt she did her best to make sure I was a satisfied customer. We received several complements on his outfit when he wore it. I have been to other Carter's locations but I feel that this one is the most organized and the workers are the most helpful compared to the other locations. So far, overall, I've had positive experiences visiting this location. read more
