I found myself wandering aimlessly trying to find the woman's athletic wear department which is usually prominent at other ON locations. In Clackamad it is hidden way in the back of the store near the toddler section. Crazy. After finding the section, they were out if the particular sculpt leggings I was seeking. The main reason I was at ON was to process a return of some leggings I bought online during the pandemic not realizing I already had several pairs already. Boredom shopping on my part! The return was simple and painless so for that I am appreciative. Drove out to this Clackamas location since stores in the Portland metro area *Multnomah County) are not yet open so for me it was worth the ride to get this off my "to-do" list but I'd never make a specific journey to this location. They had hand sanitizer available which should become the norm everywhere. But I seemed to be the only one wearing a face mask. Come on people in Clackamas! I was hesitant posting this as we have gotten very good stuff from this store and have been going…read morefor several years. Recently there has been an uptake in issues with toys we've bought. I'm giving them a 3 star review because they did offer refunds for each issue and apologies, and acknowledge we make mistakes, I am just bothered it's repeated and over the course of a couple of years. We haven't had issues with clothes or shoes but specifically with either toys missing entire pieces repeatedly or broken toys. First it was a build a bear wheelchair that was clearly taped together then broke same day we bought it. Then it was a pink baby stroller that had a gem over a missing screw so it never worked right. Then it was a wooden toy set that had broken pieces and then missing pieces. And recently we bought a train set that didn't even have the correct train pieces in it. They offered refunds for all and apologies so I do want to make that known, I feel as though if you know this is an issue, this shouldn't keep happening. My child gets her hopes up every time to then have to take it away from her. We were able to give away the train set and decided to not take the refund as my partner felt uncomfortable going back in. Saying you're human and we make mistakes is true, yet the issue needs to stop happening. Attacking people for leaving honest reviews isn't professional and I see a lot of that in the owners response. Yes it can be nice if they contact you first but it's not required. Your apologies doesn't negate the experience especially if it's a repeated experience. If you shop here, please make sure you count, check and quality check the toys you are getting. Luckily we live very very close and hasn't been a huge inconvenience but it could be for a family that's visiting out of town or doesn't live close. I do want to add something since the owner responded and I feel as though it should be said, if you're putting the blame on your staff consistently, then maybe the staff needs to change because these mistakes are costing customers and ultimately money for the business. They don't have enough people checking people out and they don't have any sort of self service. Their customer service is abysmal. Management is no where to be found in the store. The employees barely know where anything is in the store. If you have any other choice go someplace else. They really don't want your business.
