I calmly explained to him that it was washed according to the instructions on the clothing label, and was already defective before my daughter got a chance to wear it. Clothes have been touched and tried on at the store so I feel more safe to wash before having my kid wear the clothes. Alan was dismissive and rude, raised his voice and repeatedly told me he wasn't going to take it back because the item is "used." They should not have sold products that are defective then force the customer to keep it. I don't not recommend this store. They were rude and offered zero resolution.

At busy times I've seen 2 employees plus Della. If you dance, or if your children or grandchildren dance or take dance lessons, they will have what you need. Della has always been nice to me, but probably sees me as a clueless old man who is buying something for his granddaughter. Which is true, of course. It used to be in a highly-visible location for which it was impossible to find parking. They are now in a funky building a couple of blocks away, with more than enough parking. Enter at the back from Madison Street, just past Grand. (Madison Street is where KFC/Taco Bell is, a block away). They don't refund for returned items; they give store credit. But their computer is very good at keeping track of it; it's indexed by phone number.

She hit a huge growth spurt and I wasn't exactly sure how shoes should fit on her, and he was exceptionally helpful. He got us out 3 different sizes, laced them up, felt her toes and spent time explaining to me how to tell if the shoe is a good fit for a growing kids foot. I was super impressed with his customer service. He was so patient even though the place was slammed and tons of other people were coming at him. I cant remember the name of the gal who helped us at the dressing room, but she was super upbeat and helpful. She helped us grab different sizes and styles of clothing. I have seen reviews where people knock the store for it's prices. They must not understand that this store sells name brand items and is consistent with other stores selling the same items. I understand not everyone can afford it, but it's not fair to rate the store low because of its prices when they are fair. There are plenty of stores with less expensive options available. This Tilly's is always super clean, well stocked, and has super customer service oriented staff. I also love the Moolah bucks you rack up and can use towards future purchases. I'll be back in a couple months for back to school shopping!
