The sales associate, a woman wearing glasses, was texting on her phone while helping me, gave me attitude, and was outright rude, which made me feel judged. I was trying to explain that I had recently re-pierced my ears and would need to wait 2-4 weeks before being able to put in new earrings, but I felt pressured by her to purchase the earrings . A year ago, we lost one diamond from my Cartier wedding band. Took it to this Cartier store and had them replace it. One year later we lost another diamond!! Now that we are questioning their craftsmanship, they are telling us settings that are holding diamonds are worn down and whole thing has to be reconstructed. My question is, why did they not warn us of the ring condition the first time we lost a diamond? Did they not send the ring to authorized reputable jeweler that would inspect the ring when replacing the diamond? (I thought ring would be inspected when you get it cleaned at the store. Am I mistaken??) I now realize that there are no trained/ knowledgeable jeweler or sales associates at this store. Sales associates we dealt with were nice but fairly clueless about service procedures and products. Paying premium for such a mediocre service and experience is not worth it. Tracey Zhou told me I could exchange a ring for size so long as there is no "excess" wear and tear. I showed back up to exchange sizes a week and a half later. She now says the ring is damaged, should not have been worn at all, and the only option is to resize a $5k band. Truly disappointing. You can't make it up. There was an issue with my new bracelet that kept falling off. I took it back to Cartier and they sent it to New York. I was reassured that it was fixed. Yet it came off again. So, I took the bracelet to another high end jeweler in North Scottsdale and I was told it was a design flaw. They explained that if there was any pressure on my wrist (arm resting on countertop) the clasp pops open. Again I took it back to Cartier. They understood what I saying and showing them. This time they sent it to Paris for 3 months. When Kai from the Cartier store called she was looking at the bracelet and said "hmm it looks like the same clasp". I purchased a bracelet for my wife that was chosen because it has a built in safety clasp which lead me to believe that there wouldn't be an issues with it falling off my wife's wrist. This was an incorrect assumption. After having the clasp fail a number of times, we took it back to the Scottsdale store to have it fixed under warranty. It has now been "fixed" by the store 3 times (once in the store, once in New York and the last time it was sent to Paris. After the store had the piece for more than 3 months we were told by their representative (Kai) that she couldn't even tell us if it was fixed. After spending many thousands of dollars on a clash bracket one would assume they would have better customer service when they sold a defective piece. This representative could not even tell us what was done to the piece (while they had it for months) and gave us no options to remedy this ongoing problem. I have purchased a number of pieces for my wife from Cartier and this experience has changed my view of the brand dramatically. I'm amazed at the lack of quality but even more disappointed in the customer service. If they spent as much time trying to remedy the problem as they do trying to sell me additional pieces the problem would already be solved. I will not purchase anything more from Cartier unless they offer solutions to this problem. I hope customers read this review before buying anything from Cartier and specifically the Scottsdale location. If the management of the store reads this review, I hope they address their internal problems so they don't loose additional customers. This purchase was a massive mistake! Terrible customer experience - 5/21/2022 I walked in to inquire how to activate the warranty for a new watch and purchase a new leather strap for it. The 1st woman who assisted me didn't know and asked another associate who then had to ask another associate. They all said that's done "online" providing little to no guidance of how it's done or provide a walkthrough. When I asked if I can get the box wrapped. MORGAN M. - in a very loud and condescending voice said "no we're not gonna do that. we don't do that here. Uh-uh" her demeanor, tone, and body language was all unprofessional. I walked over to her and before I even got to ask she gave me a dirty look and walked away. No I wasn't rude, no I wasn't coercive, just simply walking over to provide additional context to my initial question. Imagine spending 15k on Cartier watches within 6 months only to be scolded out of the store. I'm not expecting the red carpet/Royal treatment but is common courtesy too much to ask for? A simple "sorry sir, that's against our policy because x, y, z" or "that's actually done online, I'd be happy to show you how" would have sufficed. Management - if you are employing people such as MORGAN MONOCO who do not want to provide decent customer service because it's too much work for them. I am reviewing store and product here. Every time I have gone into the store at fashion square the staff has been very polite and respectful and kind. In fact I had to take my love bracelet Into the store again because it doesn't hold up to being on my wrist. Always coming unscrewed. However I didn't know they take appts only due to coronavirus. When I showed up and said I needed a repair....they were still kind enough to let me in without an appointment. My love bracelet was a gift 5 years ago. And it has needed service for the past several years. The screws come undone and sometimes the bracelet just falls off. I'm not the only one with this issue. I have family members who also have love bracelets and the screws often come loose. For the price paid for the jewelry I would have hoped they were more secure. I don't play tether ball or volleyball or any contact sports that would hurt the bracelet. I don't fall on my wrists. I just live a busy but quiet life. Maybe Cartier can come up with a better secured bracelet. We all love wearing our love bracelets and don't take them off. Updated 6/17/2020 Went to go pick up a ring and when I approached the door, the doorman completely ignored me and would not even acknowledge my existence. Once held so high has fallen so low. Shit experience today. What was truly humiliating was how many times we made eye contact and waved at the doorman only to him open the door for the UPS man when we were still standing in front of him. No greeting, nothing, not even a nod. What a joke. I don't know what's up with all the bad reviews but my girlfriend and I stepped in today and were immediately greeted by Gail. Some people tend to stay away from us because we're younger but she was the first person to greet us besides the gentlemen out front. Greetings, Just have to comment on the poor service my husband received from the staff at the Scottsdale Cartier store. I read many of the reviews and hoped the customer service was better than I had read but I was wrong. My husband purchased the Cartier Love bracelet in white gold with diamonds for my birthday. I've had the love bracelet in yellow gold over 30 years and decided it was time to get the white gold with diamonds. Upon opening the gift, I was thrilled at the beauty but not surprised as I have other Cartier items and love them. Sadly, we went to lunch for my birthday and the bracelet came apart. We found the part that fell on the floor and when we returned home, tightened it again only to have it fall apart again. When my husband brought the bracelet back to the store today, he spoke to someone named Houston who proceeded to tell him, the bracelet was too large for my wrist (It is the same size as my yellow gold bracelet that I've worn over 30 years) and that I must not be putting it on correctly and that I need to go the store so they can show me how to put it on. Can you imagine someone telling a customer who has had the same bracelet for over 30 years they are putting the bracelet on incorrectly? UNBELIEVABLE! My husband was however in error that the screw came off and not that the bracelet fell apart when addressing the issue, regardless, the customer service was horrible. He is returning the bracelet for a refund and for the first time in my life I'm ashamed of my love for Cartier. read more

There is no reason to really purchase anything here. It's only good for trying something on before purchase to see if you like it in person. The benefit from purchasing from a boutique has been the "special experience" and knowledgeable staff that other places like general authorized dealers do not provide to the same level. Not this place. You are treated just kinda "meh" with disinterest. The two times I went in there I was fully prepared to buy but was disappointed by their indifference towards myself and a couple of other shoppers near me. The other day that I went in was no different. I was well dressed and wearing a new gold Cartier Santos-Dumont. It shouldn't matter, but I say that because that should have signaled that I was probably a serious buyer. As a watch geek and long-time luxury watch collector I didn't have any questions other than could I get a different strap with the watch and a gold deployant buckle. My answer to that question was you could buy it online. No help in sourcing the parts or showing me the available OEM strap choices. No rudeness but no friendliness or personality either. I also asked to try on a just de clou bracelet and she quickly put it on my wrist and then immediately took it off without an opportunity for me to really decide how it looked on me. Nothing in here is in short supply like Rolex, and certain AP, or Patek Philippe. They offer no discounts (like most boutiques don't), so there is no bonus of any kind to buy here. I told the sales associate that I would like to see what the other watch dealers in the Fashion Square had before making a decision. She did ask if I would like her to hold the watch for a little bit and I told her that 30 minutes would be nice. I left and looked at other watches at the authorized dealers in the mall and was treated much better. I started to think about the treatment compared to Cartier and decided I wouldn't purchase from there. I registered my interest for a Rolex at Hyde Park. I went home and immediately ordered the same Cartier watch online that I looked at earlier from Mayor's and received $100 off. The watch already arrived. I received thank you texts from Oliver Smith Jewelers and a follow up call the next day from Hyde Park Rolex thanking me for stopping in and advising that watch I expressed interest in would probably not take too long to receive since they don't have a huge waitlist for it. Was told only 5 in the world existed and that by leaving a deposit they could get one sent to their store in approximately 7days. Link was sent for me to pay deposit which I did. On December 12, I texted Sara to get an update and I explained again that this was a Christmas present I needed it before Christmas. I was told that now on 4 existed in the world, and it would be 1 to 2 weeks to obtain one. She was to check on this and get back to me. I also asked if there was a waitlist and she was to get back to me on that also. Christmas came and went and no word from Sara and I had to scramble to buy a substitute present. Went out of town on 12/26 and heard from her on 1/10/24 that the watch was in while I was still out of the country. I requested a refund of my deposit. Cartier and Sara do not know how to communicate and obviously do not care about customer service. I guess they feel that since they are Cartier and have your deposit the customer doesn't matter. I will never purchase from Cartier ever! I gave them a second chance after having a miserable experience at their Paris store. I should have learned then. Every Cartier I have been in (that would be all two of them) have the same problem...snotty sales people, although I suppose they are called something more sophisticated. My girlfriend drove up from Flagstaff just to look at a bracelet. Now granted, she also looked like she hadn't a dime to her name (she actually has at least a quarter). The store had not a customer in sight...not one. Yet one of the stone-faced security guards had to call over someone to assist us. I can't say she was overly friendly until she caught a glimpse of my friend's bling (the girl drives a 15-year old vehicle but will spend an ungodly amount on jewelry). Now, we were worth the effort. Although I wanted to scream "lady, you effin' work here, so cut the attitude" I refrained for my friend's sake. The store is gorgeous as is the jewelry as well. So less than 3 stars would be criminal. And no, my friend did not purchase the bracelet that day. She loaded up at Louis Vuitton instead. I've experienced two very helpful female sales associates' assistance and one not so helpful, and I've also been flat out ignored by other salespeople. Note that the security guards aren't salesmen and cannot unlock cases and show items. One blonde saleswoman (who seemed like management) impressed me so much with her service, giving me a Cartier catalog/book in a nice Cartier shopping bag. that I came back the next day to buy the keychain I had been eyeing. The sales associate who sold it to me was not as stellar with her customer service though. Another time, one of the female salespeople scrounged through all of their under stock cabinets (which involved kneeling on the carpet) to locate a wallet style for me. I was pleasantly surprised she didn't feel it was "beneath" her to do so. Cartier's quality is extremely high, and you pay for it! I do personally feel they are a little more special than Tiffany, yet the downside to that is the brand is also more unapproachable. Compared to their other competitors in the mall, they are less industrial than Montblanc, less flashy than Bulgari, and less "sporty" than Omega (and with a heavier fine jewelry focus than Omega, who kind of "tacks on" their jewelry and doesn't even display their leather goods). Unlike David Yurman and Tiffany, they don't carry an accessible silver jewelry line (besides men's cufflinks). While their leather goods might compete against the likes of Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton, their main focus is their fine jewelry, along with their watches. Minus one star for hit or miss customer service and another for their Neiman Marcus-like practice of not following mall hours and closing early. Oh, and they stopped making their charity support jewelry last I checked, which is a pity since it was relatively affordable. read more
