Came by based on the high recommendations and ordered the "Smells Like Protein Spirit" ($10 + a 10% credit card fee). The sandwich was good, but overall it felt overhyped. $10 for a sandwich also seems steep. It's worth a stop if you're already in the area and craving breakfast, but probably not worth making a special trip just for it.

This was a great place for a quick breakfast in the city. I went to the one in Pioneer Square, so you could walk around the area after. My food was delicious and if I visit Portland again I would come back here!

Ugh! I love this place so much. Been going for close to a decade and it still slaps every single time. It is a must have every time I am in Portland. The sauce, the perfectly cooked egg and, the great bread just make for a really good sandwich.

Very tasty sandwich. Gooey and cheesy and wonderful on a wet cold Sunday morning. Service was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outside covered seating around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dietary restriction options as well. Portland is cool like that.

Cute little egg cart that a friend recommended to come and try. It's like a breakfast sandwich, that has a small menu and also a vegetarian option. Almost all their sandwiches come with pork. Besides the Vegan and Sara which is made with vegan sausage. So depending on your preference see what you would order. The guys in the cart are super friendly! The food is made to order so it might take a few minutes but it is well worth it.

Great food truck. Prices were reasonable and the sandwiches were so good! Friendly staff and pun-y sandwich names is a plus!

Love this food cart! A must when I come to visit. Located in Pioneer Courthouse Square, across from Starbucks. This time I got the Free range against the machine, which is toasted sourdough , egg, tomato, avocado and havarti cheese. Everything is so fresh and made to order. Staff is super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is outdoor seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

'Rito Sauve breakfast burrito (Aug 2025)

Stopped by this location based on Yelp recommendations on a trip to Washington and overall, I would give it a thumbs up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the pricier side and it was a wait to order and get our breakfast sandwiches to go, but the staff were friendly in this small storefront and the ambience was casual and people were having fun digging into their food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the Sriracha Mix-a-Lot which included crispy bread, along with a nicely cooked fried egg with an oozing yolk, combined with thick smoked bacon, avocado, tomato, cheese and plenty of sriracha. A little messy to eat in the car and loaded with sriracha for that early morning kick, but definitely a winner. The 'Rito Suave included scrambled eggs and we chose sausage as the protein to go along with cheddar cheese, avocado, spicy aioli and pico de gallo wrapped in a griddled flour tortilla. Good flavors, but didn't hit the mark as well as the breakfast sandwich from our perspective as the eggs seemed overcooked and the the arrangement of all of the ingredients led to uneven bites. Interested in trying their other sandwiches and offerings the next time we're swinging through Portland

Delicious breakfast sandwiches! Grabbed a bite to eat before we left Portland. It was a short walk from our hotel! Super delicious sandwiches. The sour dough was perfectly crunchy and the breakfast sausages tasted homemade. The wait for the sandwiches were a bit long maybe 15-20min, but we did order four. It was worth the wait we would definitely go back the next time we are in Portland!

Fried Egg I'm In Love has several locations. But, if you are near the PDX Square, then do yourself a favor and stop by Fried Egg I'm In Love. I love the word play and enjoyed the sandwich so much that I came back again (but much longer wait time the 2nd time around due to Labor Day weekend). This food cart seems to be local favorite as I saw line forming shortly after 8AM on Saturday -- and much longer the 2nd time supporting this cart on Monday morning. The breakfast concept is combining two of life's greatest pleasures: delicious breakfast sandwiches and a killer music vibe (or at least the name of their food)! The cook - an older man can be seen swaying (to some music in his head) while cooking. Very creative, as every sandwich here is a musical homage, and I love it! It's makes it hard for me to choose cuz it's a word-play on music or the sandwich ingredients itself. In the end, I went for the Smells Like Teen Spirit and Hugo's Mutilation, and they did not disappoint. The Smells Like Teen Spirit combination of crispy fried egg, savory bacon, melty cheese, and that perfect butter grilled sour dough. It's the kind of breakfast you could eat at any hour and still feel like you're doing something totally rock-and-roll. I think my personal favorite is the FREE-RANGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. :)) Great food and nice personal-touch on adding a heart to the bag. :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like to point out the "chillness" that the crowd was patiently chatting and waiting for their orders -- no grunts, sighs nor frowns.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] :))

A really delicious sandwich shop with great fried selections in different variations and aardvark sauce! The service is really hospitable too. The Yolko Ono, classic, she's really good and the Olympia provision sausages are of course very delicious. The Korean music duo or I should say trio Epik High, stopped by this exact food card at Pioneer Square for a bite the day of their concert back in 2023. So you know this place is good if you even famous people are coming.

Delicious egg sandwich - add a tomato! The bread was perfectly toasted. Would definitely return! 11/10.

Food truck specializing in egg sandwiches - had Yolko Ono Deluxe (comes with more sauce and cheese) with a vegan breakfast patty. Served on a crunchy and toasted sourdough bread! Pesto was unexpected for their signature sandwhich but def enjoyed!

Ask the Community - Fried Egg I'm In Love

Are the eggs and veggie sausage cooked on the same griddle as other meat? In other words, do the meat and non meat items cooked together?

Same. This is a small food truck

Can you get your eggs fully cooked on your sandwich or do they only make them one way?

They call it commuter style! They cook the yolk hard so you don't make a mess if you are on the go.

Immaculate atmosphere and the exact sort of thing we were looking for for breakfast. We didn't get her name but saw on the receipt her name might have been Davi, she was such a bundle of light and life, so attentive and kind! She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. Next time I'm back in Portland I'm absolutely spoiling some friends here with what I can only describe as a transcendent experience.

As i approached the building, I noticed that it was full of people. I fell into the street. I was in and out of consciousness. My heart was racing at the thought that I drove 15 hours and could not get a seat at SCREEN DOOR. As I walked into the building a humble man greeted me. He told me that they would clean off a table for me. WOO HOO. I bursted out crying at the thought that I finally got my seat. As I sat down a soft chair graced my bottom. Beautiful. I looked around and the scenery was beautiful. As I looked at the menu, my eyes sharply turned to the chicken and waffles. Deliciously perfect choice. I ordered my food and got a coffee. My chicken and waffles arrived and I took a bite. I started floating. My soul left my body. I looked down at my body as I floating away, I was enjoying every bite. I reached the heavens. A loud voice said "Its not your time yet. Return and enjoy the rest of your meal." I ascend back to the chair and every chicken and every waffle was gone. The servers were SO kind. I got my check and shead a tear, knowing that was the best meal of my life. Over all from kind servers to and delicious food, SCREEN DOOR was an awesome experience. They've certainly topped the muscle game. Highly recommend Olympic Provisions. I will gladly vouch that the negative reviews are from the haters, just to hate.
