Custom Ice cream cake with sugar cookie ice cream, side of sugar cookie pieces and chocolate crunchies

I really appreciate the custom cake that was made to celebrate my birthday. The team at this location did a great job following my requests for the cake and I have nothing negative to say about it. Location was clean and people working were nice. Quality of both the ice cream and the toppings tasted fresh and way better than other locations I have been to. Thanks again!

Who doesn't love Carvel. When I was a kid I would get a large vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles - now as an adult I opted for the a small cup of vanilla with chocolate sprinkles. In this location if you pay with cash, you are eligible to get a card to get punched to get a free cone. It is a small location so we sat outside but it was very hot out the evening we went so perhaps next time I would bring it home (the tables were dirty outside so we had to clean them). Don't forget to go get your Carvel on Monday,8/19 for $.90!! National Carvel Day!!

WE haven't been to Carvel in years and wanted ice cream after dinner and there was one in the area. Ordered the soft serve which was tasteless.

Went to Carvel and ordered a vinalla shake tonight. Going inside, the place was packed with people, and limited places to seat. The shake went for around $5 for a medium which isn't too bad when you think about it, but not great. The flavor on the shake was good though as it was thick and the additional vanilla syrup had boosted the flavor.

Came in for a quick trip with the teen to get some icecream. He raved for the KitKat and ordered a medium. He gobbled it right up before I could even finish my junior size cold brew. Staff was great. Can't wait to come back to try others.

I've been coming here my entire life! My parents have been coming here for decades! My children are obsessed with this place. I love the staff, cleanliness and the recent remodels! New floors and bigger seating area. It's been a tradition for as long as I can remember getting my dad his "surprise" birthday ice cream cakes from Carvel.

Grew up right down the street from this Carvel and my family has always had a Carvel cake for birthdays and holidays. Now that I'm living in an area with no Carvel, I always make sure to come visit for my favorite soft serve ice cream! Chuck, Staci and Christine are like family and it's always a treat to see them when I come home to visit my parents.

Good dependable Carvel. Been around since I was a kid. (Who am I kidding? I'm STILL a kid ....at heart). Stopped in after a long hiatus because the kid and his girlfriend wanted vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. Being the loving Mom that I am, (not to mention that it sounded appealing), we went just for THAT; albeit, I had the kiddie cup of it, son opted for cone and girlfriend had medium cup size. ALL of us had the soft-serve vanilla that they're famous for AND the rainbow sprinkles because, well, they're fun!!! Isn't there STILL a "little kid" in ALL of us?

What happened to Carvel? They don't have layered cakes anymore?!?! Why would you mess with perfection? The box shows layered cakes (see my pic) but the staff said all the cakes are "swirled" chocolate/vanilla (strike one: gimme the layers!) and, regardless, the cake I bought is 99% chocolate (see mu other pic, and strike two, btw: some people, including special birthday girls, don't like chocolate ice cream). Wal-mart emergency substitute ice cream cake coming up! Thanks for nuthin, Carvel! Oh how the mighty have fallen!

Love Carvel ice cream and the service here is also very good. My favorite place to bring my granddaughter when she wants a treat.

Great ice cream. The store is small, but everything is certified kosher (as far as I know), tasty, and affordable.

Ice cream was dripping from the cone after my first lick. It wasn't very cold. The place smells funky and kinda feels dingy.

We've been visiting since their old location, and I was so happy to see them move into their beautiful new space. We'll definitely be stopping by again soon. The owners are truly wonderful people -- always so positive, kind, and welcoming. You can feel how much love and care goes into this place. The pastries and desserts are beautifully made (many created by the owner herself), and everything tastes just as amazing as it looks. My personal favorite was the lemon-shaped pastry -- it looked so incredibly realistic, almost too pretty to eat, and it was absolutely delicious. Their coffee is always excellent, the staff is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and elegant. I also love the little details, like how they serve tea with a tiny dried flower bouquet -- such a thoughtful and aesthetic touch. They also have unique jewelry pieces, and I've even bought a few bracelets there myself. This place is truly special, and I highly recommend it if you love beautiful French pastries, great coffee, and a charming atmosphere.

"Oh my god- they have the fruit that's going viral on TikTok. We have to try it!" I'm not one to say no to a 15 year old for anything that's going viral on TikTok so stepped inside this adorable cafe and placed an order for the viral mango. I almost passed out when they rang me up for $18 for a tiny dessert, but I guess it is famous. They put it on a plate at the register and when I reached for it said "oh we'll bring it to you." Perhaps the handing of the pastry is part of the $18 fee. We found a table and 30 seconds later the infamous mango appeared in front of us. It took us about 3 minutes to eat and it was tasty- a hard shell, mango inside and maybe some custard. We both decided it was very good, but not $18 good. I"m glad we tried it, but I probably wouldn't get the viral fruit again for the price alone. However, I did find this cafe to be adorable and would stop back in here the next time I'm in Atlantic Avenue for other treats. Hopefully the non viral pastries aren't priced quite as high.

The shop itself is beautiful inside -- there's fun ice cream wall art, shelves with adorable handmade plush toys, and everything feels bright and creative. Recently they added another display with handmade chocolates and beautifully painted sweets, which makes the place feel even more special. They also serve coffee, and I really appreciate the little thoughtful details -- like the large glass water dispenser where you can help yourself to water after ice cream, with cups and napkins always ready. There's also a restroom to wash hands, which is so convenient when visiting with kids. Such a charming little place with so much attention to detail. It's the kind of place that brings you "joy" as soon as you walk in. The flavors are where Cielito really shines. You have a choice of either fruity/sorbet pops such as passion fruit w brigadeiro, watermelon OR ice cream pops made with fresh and hormone-free cow's milk with flavors such as hazelnut, pistachio or banana w dulce de leche. I opted for a hazelnut pop and it was sooo good with a few hazelnuts at the bottom. I believe you can add up to 3 toppings and chocolate sauce (extra). You can tell everything is handcrafted, not mass‑produced. Per the website - no artificial flavors or colors, no additives/preservatives and no high fructose corn syrups. The first thing that catches your attention is the store itself. It's spotless, beautifully decorated in bright pink, and full of fun details that make it feel magical for kids. The chandeliers are gorgeous, and everywhere you look there's something colorful to see. The ice cream portions are huge! My girls each ordered a chocolate-dipped waffle cone covered with colorful sprinkles--one chose vanilla and the other chocolate. They loved every bite but couldn't even finish half because the servings were so generous. The staff was friendly, patient, and welcoming, even with excited kids trying to decide between all the flavors. Besides ice cream, Sloan's has a surprisingly large selection of toys, gifts, and fun accessories. They even carry adorable treats for dogs, which I thought was such a cute touch. One thing that really surprised me was their collection of novelty mugs. It's not something I'd expect to find in an ice cream shop, but they definitely caught our attention! My older daughter couldn't stop laughing at the mugs shaped like a woman's body. They were funny and unexpected. Personally, my favorite was the Palm Beach bikini mug--I actually know someone who would love it as a gift.

I don't mind waiting when a place is busy, but not being acknowledged at all is a basic service miss. The ice cream may be good, but the customer experience really takes away from it. I hope they improve how they prioritize and engage with customers in the store.
