Make sure you don't look in the freezer cases, she may come over and interrogate you. As we entered and began to browse she rushed over and treated my boyfriend as if he was stealing something. Absolutely do not bring a mistake they've made during payment to their attention, she will refuse you and when she can't win she'll refund you and say slick comments under her breathe, ex. (yea okay, and you won't be coming back). Ma'am, thanks, but I don't want to! It seems like people have been a victim of her nasty attitude and poorly run store for some years now. I will add that not all of the employees are conditioned, yet. The newer faces seem to be polite enough, but she's always micro managing them hard. Serving up a little good and lots of evil I guess! Extremely disappointing experience at this Carvel location. The quality and consistency have gone downhill significantly. The cakes in the display refrigerator often look like they've been sitting there far too long, and it doesn't seem like inventory is being rotated properly. Freshness should be a priority, especially for products customers are paying premium prices for. On top of that, the portion sizes are incredibly small for what they charge. You're paying full price but receiving much less ice cream than expected. The value simply isn't there. What makes the experience even worse is the management. Customer concerns don't seem to be taken seriously, and there appears to be little attention to quality control or customer satisfaction. There are plenty of other places that offer better service, fresher products, and more reasonable portions. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

What a strange place. We went there, only game in town. Cake section has a sign saying this section closed. 2 nd sign , no self service on cakes. Final straw cake cases have locks on them. We wanted to get ice cream but had pizza to pick up as well so we parked on the side parking lot of carvel and started to walk towards the pizza place to grab our pizza before getting our ice cream. We didn't think to go in and tell anyone we we're coming right back because it was going to be less than two minutes. We barely had left the parking lot to go a couple doors down and a man comes out the front doors yelling agressively at us and our child screaming that if we didnt move our vehicle right now, he was going to have it towed. Before we could explain we were coming right back to get ice cream he started yelling again sending some poor woman to chase us down, when we were already on our back. We parked in the next parking lot and found a delicous cake shop with lovely staff who didn't mind us parking in their lot long enough to get the pizza. Customer sevice matters. read more

I came here tonight and ordered a cup of mint chocolate chip - their ice cream doesn't have any toppings in it and they add them after. Government says mask mandate ended in May, this place for some reason mandates masks. Lost my weekly business and my whole little league team. No carvel here again for us. I always have the best experiences here. This place is the best!!!!!! I bring them photos of characters I would like on my cakes and they make them so beautifully!!! The manager/owner/supervisor I'm not sure her title she is a blonde lovely woman, but she is always so sweet with me and my kids, plus so very helpful. I really love coming here, the line is short and it's always always so clean. That's so important to me. I recommend everyone here it has such a positive feel to it. This place is already fighting an uphill battle in proximity to Hoyer's, and boy do they fumble the bag. The only reason why you would go to an ice cream place would be for a different experience than the frozen ice cream in ShopRite, and this place doesn't even deliver on that. So why is this a 2 star? This Carvel is very cheap...my family has been getting cakes from here for a while and the owners always skimp on the ice cream in the cakes. Their little scheme is they load the middle of the cake with crunchies so they can use less ice cream, and the cakes are expensive. I dont know how i feel. Their ice cream is good, toppings are fresh but the woman who runs it can be ridiculous with topping distribution. The younger staff is great but thats because they havent been properly vetted yet by the manager. I always ask for extra whipped cream because thats equivalent to how much whipped cream should be considered "normal". They barely put any on and when i asked for extra she picked up my daughters cup and literally a quick squirt. Not even half a second just a "sh!" sound and capped it. I just want to start off by saying that giving 1 star for this review is being generous, in fact the only reason I'm even giving 1 Star is because no star just isn't an option. The management of this carvel is unbelievable. From the way that they treat their employees to the way that they even treat their training employees. There is no room for opportunity or growth, management just continues to make you feel like you're not good enough. If you can't do what the manager of 20 years has been doing and learn in in 10 seconds then expect to be degraded and talked to like you're a child. Had the same problem as the rest of the other reviewers. Cheap as they can be; I bought a $36 cake and asked for a sample of some ice cream, the lady dipped the little spoon twice and even like that I had to use a microscope to see it. As soon as I went into the store and started to browse for cakes the owner jumped from behind the counter harassing me about the type of cake and serving size. This was the second chance I gave them.
