When I explained to them that my car had rarely been driven in 14 months because of surgeries that didn't allow me to use the clutch, they recommended that I not bring the car to their shop. Instead, they suggested that I totally empty the old gasoline that was in the car's tank, replace it with new gas and take it for a re-test. Apparently old gas can really throw off the test. Lo and behold, the car passed the emissions test with flying colors by doing exactly what they said! Other emissions centers had not been as honest. This…read morebusiness is, without a doubt, the most unprofessional and disorganized operation I have ever encountered. Johnny and his son, Jaice, are complete scammers. Unfortunately, I didn't do my research before taking my car to them and handing over the insurance check. After the fact, I found numerous complaints and even news stories about their poor service. When I brought this to Jaice's attention, he became defensive and claimed they had more positive reviews than negative ones--a claim that's clearly bogus. I informed Jaice that I work in media and that I was documenting everything. If the situation wasn't resolved promptly and professionally, I would expose their shady practices. He assured me my car would be ready by 4 PM on Friday. However, on Friday afternoon, Jaice called to push the pickup time back an hour. When I arrived, the shop had no power--not due to an outage, but because they hadn't paid their utility bill. They were working on my car in the dark using car headlights to finish attaching the bumper. Johnny told me it would only take 15 minutes (twice), but after waiting over an hour, the work was still not done. I left, saying I'd return the next day. The next day, I called to check in and was told they had lost my key fob. Frustrated, I called Johnny, who then launched into a defensive rant about being in business for 12 years and how "good" they are, all while hurling insults about the magazine I work for. He even tried to justify his behavior by mentioning he's in recovery, though his erratic behavior suggested otherwise. Eventually, Johnny claimed he had replaced my key fob, so I returned to pick up my car. It was filthy, and the bumper was still not properly attached. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, Johnny threatened to call the police, claiming I owed $500 of my $1,000 deductible--despite the fact that I paid what he and his son initially requested, which I have documented. When I called Jaice to resolve the issue, he deflected and accused me of rushing them, which was not the case as I have multiple vehicles and was in no hurry. Their behavior throughout this ordeal was appalling. From misplaced key fobs to poorly completed work, it's clear that Lakewood Collision is running a scam operation. When I mentioned filing complaints with the BBB, my insurance company, and possibly pursuing legal action, Johnny laughed and said, "We hear that all the time." Given their track record, I don't doubt it. If you've also been scammed by Johnny and Jaice, please reach out. I'm filing a class-action lawsuit and exposing their fraudulent practices through the media. This business needs to be held accountable, and I strongly advise against doing any business with Lakewood Collision which now looks like they changed the name to Wreck-A-Mend.

A job I should have just done myself it's 5 bolts and a wire. You don't have to disconnect anything. It's a simple job. They tried to replace a fuse and say that was the problem. When I explained I saw the pump burnt out and told them how it keep blowing new fuses. Not to mention the warning symbols on the dash. They insisted I was wrong and returned my vehicle after I paid them 200 dollars. I start driving to work and it overheats and all the light are I told them about before are back on. They told me I needed to return the car to the shop. They don't sent vehicles out with service problems. After a couple hour of argument I was finally able to get them to tow it back to the shop. Fast forward 3 weeks later. They told me it was the pump this time and it would be another 900 dollars. I pay them thinking they have fixed my vehicle I can now finally stop riding the bus and working 7 days a week to pay for the repairs. I take my car and start driving to work when you guessed it. My car overheated and all the lights are on again. They tell me I have to drive it back to the shop. Keep in mind I am 24 miles away at this point and I have a broke car I just paid 1100 dollars to be fixed. I wait a few hours and try driving it back. The car is way overheating and they brakes locked up. I told them I am not driving this broken vehicle and they need to get it picked up. They get it back to the shop and tell me. The hybrid battery is overheating and I need to take it elsewhere. I took it to another shop. Only to find out Coloradoland didn't put any coolant in the vehicle after replacing the pump. It burned out the new pump and overheated. Skip ahead 2 more weeks. I have missed out on 600 in wages and paid 1100 dollars. They finally replace the broken part. During these repair they took spare fuses from my car and stole two bottles of coolant from the back of vehicle to finish the work they charged me for. Negligence and incompetence is one thing. Charging me for parts and services and stealing products from my vehicle is wild. It's much hard to get a debit card company to return money for a breach of duty than a credit card company. Lesson learned always use a credit card. Don't let shops steal from you. I am going to post this story everywhere until. This shop is closed. Edit: was called today by the manager trying to convince me that I told him he could use my coolant to complete the repairs. Now he wants to fix the situation after he got called out on the internet for the world to see. Which sounds more likely they were pissed at me for getting upset at them for dragging out these repairs and messing the job up. They tried to get over on me and took product from my vehicle. Or I after paying them hundreds and hundreds of dollars for products and services. Went out of my way to buy them coolant to put in my vehicle that I had already paid them to repair. That coolant was in my vehicle because as I stated they never put any in the vehicle after their repairs. When I took it to another shop to find out what was really going on I purchased that coolant to put in my vehicle to see if this would fix the problem but the pump had already burned out. When I came back in you wanted to act like nothing was your fault I got mad at you. You decided to use my coolant to stick it to me because you were angry at me for holding you accountable for messing this job up. Which seems more likely I went out of my way to provide you with products for repairs that I already paid for or you took something without asking because you were upset and try to get over on me.
