Came here with my mom cause I saw a tik tok, and it looked great. We walked in- wasn't really greeted just asked how many and sat fast. They gave us water, and chips with salsa right away. They took 5minutes to take our drink order, and then another 10minutes to get our food order which we still didn't get our drinks. I pointed that out and he apologized and went to get them right away. Then it took them 20 minutes for us to get our food. There was only two men servers. I will say the horchata aqua I was good but too much ice for me. My mom got a tamarindo drink barely even tasted like tamarindo. There was no salt or pepper on the tables at all. I will say the food was good and decent.

I met a friend for brunch and loved this place. I was busy catching up so I didn't get many pictures. The restaurant is really cute and I loved the decor. When we got there it wasn't very busy. We got seated right away and got served chips and salsa. The salsa was not spicy but was very flavorful. I ordered huevos rancheros which were really good. I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes.

Came with a friend for lunch the chips and salsa were good we both got Enchiladas which were delicious. I was not a fan of the rice though.we did have a good time although our server who was nice but she also would forget to bring some items not sure if she was distracted or what was going on as it was definitely a slow day

I'm very excited to have this new restaurant in our neighborhood! Their first restaurant, Casa Corazon, catered my friend's wedding. It's great that their opening one so close to my home. The happy hour deal of $6 margaritas is unbeatable- and they're good too! The guacamole, elote, and queso were great too. They were able to make the queso with no meat as well to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Service was friendly and quick. I'll definitely be back, and I hope the quality and happy hour deals continue!

Had an excellent lunch of pollo al pastor and carnitas tacos, which came with beans, steamed rice and an excellent green sauce. It was nice to have al pastor with chicken instead of the usual pork and these were very nicely spiced. The carnitas were also excellent. The chips and salsa are excellent, complex and well blended chunky salsa. I have been to this restaurant once before when it was called Cien Fuegos and nothing has changed, still great food, unique menu and nice atmosphere and service.

Every time I come here I am amazed by the delicious food, great service and beautiful ambience. The dishes aren't just beautifully decorated, they taste amazing as well. Never disappointed!

My husband and I visited Casa 16 for Arizona Restaurant week on 5/23/2026. I ordered off the AZ Restaurant Week menu. I got the aguachules which the menu says they include scallops but it was just shrimp no scallops, the enchiladas as the second entree, I asked for all chicken with mole, red and suiza sauce and they gave me green instead of suiza sauce, and for dessert the churros. The aguachiles were okay, enchiladas also okay but you can tell they used dark chicken meat because it had a different taste to it, the churros were deliciouand the best part of my order. My husband got the Mojarra Frita; which was delicious but it was not drained after they fried it and the side on the plate was oily. I did not tell our server Israel R about the mix up on the enchiladas sauce because it seemed like anything we asked for was bothersome to him. He was extremely attentive to the table next to us which we later found out they must be related or be close friends because he hugged one of them when they were leaving. This was quiet upsetting because he should not treat people he knows well and other clients poorly. The service was probably the worst service we've had at a restaurant; especially because it was not busy at all there was only about 3 or 4 tables being occupied with his "friends" being the biggest party of 4 all other tables had 2 people. I'm not sure if he treated us differently because we ordered of the "special" menu which is absurd, because the point of that menu is to bring new people in to try their food. With that service it makes me not want to go back. Mind you this is not an upscale restaurant the area it's in is kind of sketchy; which is not an issue but with servers like Israel R it makes me not want to go back. We didn't get straws or more napkins until we asked for them.

We stopped in on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised. The hostess Karen greeted us with a beautiful smile. Even though we were in a hurry and we couldn't fully enjoy the atmosphere. The food was amazing. I'll post the pics. We had enchiladas suizas and Jamaica to drink. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. It also has a full bar in case you're interested.

What a Wonderful Visit! The service was great, and the food was amazeballs! Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant -- perfect for a relaxing evening. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend Casa 16 to anyone looking for great food and genuine hospitality!

New Place! Just opened! Food was really good, service was great! amazing little place with a family vibe! I had the enchiladas with Pumpkin sauce...mmmmmmm delicious- Modelo Negro on tap and Mango Margarita's! Very clean and can't wait to use the outdoor patio when it cools down! I recommend and we will be back

Had brunch at Casa16 today. What a wonderful little spot that I highly recommend checking out. It was not busy at noon today ( Super Bowl Sunday ) - we were greeted immediately & promptly seated. Menus , water, fresh chips & salsa delivered with a smile and offer to help with selections. We had a horchata latte, hot mocha with divine marshmallow topping, a breakfast burrito and huevos divorciados. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will plan on returning! The atmosphere is warm & inviting. Also noteworthy is plentiful parking with an attractive painted mural lining the lot.

I stopped for a burrito and ended up getting it to go. It was $24 (with tip) and was extremely bland. No side, one salsa ....it's a no go

Flavors…read morewere all on point and as expected from the components on the menu, which doesn't happen often in Phoenix. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

The restaurant is a very good size with lots of room and tables available. The decor is that of PR culture which is very colorful and bright. We started off with canoa which is a plantain stuffed with ground beef and cheese. It was very hot and delicious! For our "platos principals" (main entrees) I had the pechuga de pollo (chicken breast with grilled onions) with mofongo as my side (also comes with a side salad). It was very tasty and not dry at all. BFF had the pernil (pulled pork) with arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) as his side which also came with a side salad. For dessert we shared the tembleque which is a coconut pudding but not in the traditional sense of pudding (more like a jelly texture). BFF also ordered coquito (holiday rum drink) & apparently our server (Sophia) omitted the rum so the owner came by and offered a fresh glass. Speaking of, everything was wonderful except that Sophia seemed to have a bit of a poor attitude as she wasn't too friendly. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt as perhaps she wasn't feeling well but out of the corner of my eye she had this almost "eyeroll" look. Perhaps she just didn't want to be there (she was friendly upon us leaving and thanked us). Anyway, I highly recommend this establishment. Both food and ambience was great and the service was too.

The entire restaurant seems void of cilantro which I know is a love or hate ingredient, but is a staple in Hispanic dishes. Everything from guacamole to the flautas needed it. Guacamole was delicious, but expensive for what you get ($19). As a vegan, you are VERY limited in what you can order. Guacamole and two salads without cheese and the potato flautas without cheese. Very meh. We only ate here because we were staying at the hotel and assuming beans and vegetables would be plentiful in the dishes. Wrong. We left hungry. Service was very good though. Matthew was our server. We had come here for a birthday and were seated at a small two top in a very busy area. It wasn't relaxing, intimate, or enjoyable. Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. If you like Mexican food and seafood, you need to try it. Great food, big portions, and a menu that makes it hard to stop ordering.
