It was nice and quiet inside. So much so that you could easily hear the steady drip drip drip of water coming the ceiling tile in the middle of the restaurant as it splashed down into the bucket beneath it. Really oughta to fix that guys. The Chile verde was very good. Flavorful, and spiced just right. The refried beans which came with it was the color of canned Frito Lay bean dip, and had a really strange aftertaste to it. It reminded me of something but I just couldn't out my finger on it which really bothered me. The wife had chicken mole which she said she didn't need to have again as it was just okay but not super flavorful. She also had the street corn which she said was great. The chips and salsa were good, and the waitress was attentive. While we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, there were just enough things that didn't mesh that I would be hard pressed to go back with so many other options in town. read more

This has moved into this location fairly recently. And has had an original location in town for a couple years. Overall, this place does a good job of providing authentic Mexican food, in a somewhat elevated way or setting. The quality and taste of food is very good. Quesadillas: excellent and a real good bite. Street tacos: meat scalded off really nice and again, a very good taco. Cheesy chicken; no chicken; add onions; extra cheese sauce: That's my own creation to mimic what I've had at other places. You should try it....its pretty darn good! My only little knock on the place: They certainly charge enough, for the quantities you get of some items. So maybe the value isn't always there....but the taste and even their service....is always spot on. Fast friendly service, a very clean and spacious Restaurant serving delicious Santa Fe, New Mexico and Mexican inspired cuisine. The regular Salsa they offer with chips and as a condiment is very good...it's basically what back in Southern California or Nevada we would call a Salsa Fresca. It is mild, herbaceous and tomato based , it's a blended smooth less chunky style. They also have an excellent Tomotillo Salsa Verde served with Carnitas as traditionally done, but for me...my favorite was their Hot Salsa MM good... it's spicy hot with a wonderful punch in the face for your taste buds of a muy caliente Heat. I couldn't get enough tbh... If you really truly want to feel alive, my advice...try it first on the tortilla chips and then safely graduate by trying it on your food. I couldn't stop smiling, as my mouth legitimately burned and I started sweating bullets. It's quite invigorating!!! You have to request it, so unless you're a certifiable, sisified, gutless, geeky wimp thats afraid of your own shadow and of life in general...request it. Beware Ladies!!! It's guaranteed to put hair on your chest... I went with the Street Taco sampler, but next time I will just order all Carnitas Tacos, they were soo good, muy excellente. I don't discriminate against the various Mexican style of prepared meats for Tacos or Burritos, but the Carnitas really were the best of the bunch that I sampled here...in my opinion. Different restaurants often excel in one prepared meat over another. For instance Chipotle makes an excellent tasting Barbacoa. I give big thumbs up to their Spanish Rice and Refried Beans, both delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned and far tastier than other places I've tried around Springfield so far... I suspect they use Lard to properly flavor the beans to make them so muy delicioso y authentico Lastly, to wash it all down with, I had a Margarita on the rocks with a no salt rim...it was perfectly constructed, not overly sweet or strong tasting, but not weak tasting either. This restaurant along with their sister restaurant in Nixa are both my favorites. They have tasty adult drinks and when you ask for fresh guacamole it's handmade right in front of your table. The fresh guacamole is my favorite, if you want more of something like jalapeños while they are making it they are happy to add as much as you'd like. The food is always hot and seasoned well. I've had the carne asada plate which is also delicious. The wait staff are always very friendly as well as the management and owners. This is my go to place when we are craving delicious authentic Mexican food. read more

Staff super friendly, Rosa and Alisha. Great salsa not too spicy. Chips thin - the best. My ground beef tacos and the enchilada with red sauce had that great Mexican flavor - no one is skimping on the spices. Got to meet Jimmy the owner. Very patient, kind and clean-cut. I had never eaten here before tonight. I have been to other Mexican restaurants but this place tops them all. My food was delicious. The guacamole was the best I have ever had in a restaurant and even though they did not have flan; I ordered dessert anyway and the sopapillas were the best I have ever had. Have had them elsewhere where they were doughy and gummy. These were perfect - light and nicely crispy. The staff seemed to be genuinely friendly. My server was Pau and she was great. Pau checked frequently to see if I needed anything. Reading this I see I repeated myself with "the best I ever had." Really - go see for yourself. read more

I ordered a dinner and specified white meat, They brought a thigh and leg. I called the manager over and he told me I had white meat, that they only serve is white meat? I educated him on dark meat and white meat chicken pieces. He said that I should have ordered a breast. I asked why I needed to order a breast, if all they served was white meat? I returned it and they made me wait until everyone at the table was finished before they brought it back. Sorry that this place couldn't make me feel like an uneducated idiot and force me to eat a lower cut of poultry. Avoid them. Seems like many are, since we were there for 90 minutes during Friday dinner and only about ten tables came in. They need to up their game, or the fourth restaurant at this location will die like the rest. read more

Went out for Mexican the other night and had the worst experience. So what did we do? Came to casabella to renew our faith in a good Mexican cuisine. We love the original and this one's even better. Staff is super friendly. Food is amazing. We're still here and I'm nursing a painkiller right now. Highly recommend! read more
