This might be the most overrated place I've seen on Yelp in a long time. We are visiting from out of town and were excited to try something iconic along these lines. And we love pizza and vintage places. Sadly, the whole experience was disappointing from start to finish. First of all, the place is a bit grubby. The hostess seemed harried and like she didn't want to be there. When she finally called our name, she stuck us in what appeared to be a banquet room which was noisy and brightly lit - it had no windows so I get they want to do that during the day, but at night, they should dim the lights. I had a clear view of some gross part of the kitchen or storage area, and it was freezing because they were blasting air conditioning on our table. Was it something I said? The server was nice. Between three of us, we got a bottle of wine, a pizza and two salads as well as a coffee and an ice cream and we got out of there for under 120 bucks which was more than reasonable. It's possible something didn't make it on the bill. I didn't look. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't very good. - the crust tasted like cardboard to me. They also cut it in some creative way which means you have to fight over who gets the parts with the crust which is totally unnecessary. The salads were OK, although the server could not be bothered to remove it from the table after we ate it, so our table was just full of stuff when the pizza came. When the other diners in the banquet room left, their napkins and detritus stayed on the table for quite some time for us to look at while we enjoyed our meal. Also not great. I think I'd rather eat at Round Table. Sigh. These people have a cool spot, would be great if they could level it up a bit. We might have enjoyed it more if not for the awful table.

My cousin suggested this place since they are regular customers and told us how popular it is. They don't take reservations for under six people, so you have to come in person and put your name on the waitlist. Parking is also very hard to find nearby, which makes sense because of how popular this place is. We waited over 45 minutes to get seated, but honestly, it was worth the wait. This place is very cozy with an old style Italian atmosphere and lots of Italian décor everywhere. It is not a modern or fancy place, and it can get very crowded, but if you like authentic Italian food and a family style atmosphere, you will enjoy this place. We really enjoyed the food and hospitality. The house wine was yummy and brought back lots of good old memories. They served house bread and butter to start. We ordered some foods but started with the antipasto salad, and our waitress suggested getting the small one because it was huge, and she was absolutely right! We also shared a medium Bianco Gluten Pizza, which was very tasty with a thin and light crust. I could barely finish three slices! The staff was very friendly and kept checking on the guests. My only suggestion would be to make the inside a little cooler, especially on hot days, and maybe have a little more space between the tables since the seating area feels tight. Overall, we were very happy and satisfied with this place. Great authentic Italian food, good hospitality, and a nice family-style atmosphere. We would definitely come back!

The pizza is really good probably the best take out for the price in the area. Crust was crunchy and chewy slightly charred. Sauce was tangy and well seasoned garlic herbs etc. cheese was chewy and the pepperoni and onion were crispy and caramelized. Unfortunately the mushrooms were canned womp womp. So rubbery mushrooms on an otherwise outstanding pizza. Will definitely go back but not for the mushrooms (or olives for that matter). Also a small antipasti salad and it was enough four of us. The creamy vinaigrette dressing was perfect. This place is a 5 minus one for those darn mushrooms.

Had a delicious dinner here while visiting my cousin in Eagle Rock. It's a classic cozy Italian spot with delicious food and cute decor. The service was amazing and fast, even on a busy Saturday night. I tried the Spinach & Cheese Ravioli and it was out of this world!!! I'm personally not a huge fan of fettuccini alfredo but this one was the perfect balance of creamy and cheesy. They had a passion tea that I loved and overall I'd come back in a heartbeat. The parking however is not great and we had to park a few blocks down in a residential area. It was worth it and I'd love to come back and try some pizza!

Zucchini sticks. Nice flavor. Weak marinara. Watery.

Good enough at everything, great at nothing other than being a historical neighborhood Italian spot. Ok, I'm going to hurt feelings. Cause this place is only amazing in the sense that it has endured the test of time. If you live near here then it's fine. But, there was nothing special delivered on our "date night." The pizza was on a gluten free crust (which I recommended against, but was ordered against my will). The crust was definitely store bought general and nothing special. The service, which I forgot about was non-existent. She was distracted or inattentive at best. Not a big place. But, a family bar so kids running and screaming everywhere. Not a big place for all that energy.

Wow such a beautiful place! Lots of history (as evidenced by all the pics on the walls)! Super nice waitress AND owner made the experience just the best! Both were engaging, personable and funny! Huge dishes and if you're loud and like to have fun, this is your place! Parking sucks, not their fault, but it's mostly street or neighborhood parking (unless you score a rare spot in front). This was my first time here and it won't be my last! The food was delicious and the vibe is even better! 4.75 stars .75 (.25 off for the parking situation)

The Italian old world neighborhood vibe is there with friendly and helpful staff. The parking is steer only. We were a party of six and had to wait for a table. The food is more family style with good portions. We ordered the XL pizza, half as Deluxe and the other half eggplant. Delicious! A la carte orders of Eggplant Park and Spaghetti with Sausage. A large portion. They had complementary bread & butter. Cool vibe and traditional hearty Italian Food. Rating: 4 Stars

This place stays busy soo expect to wait. I saw that there was one table free and clean but they had us wait about 10-15 mins and sat us at that same table. I'm not sure if maybe someone was on break so they didn't want to overload or what the reason was exactly. Service - 8/10 our server was nice and professional but they run it a little too tight that you don't get to really know your waiter and it takes a while to get the bill. We asked for a bill and to go box but our waitress brought food to five tables before bringing that to us. Not her fault they were busy. Maybe the owner or girl at the front desk can jump in and help instead of chatting on the front desk together. Bruschetta pasta - 5/10 it wasn't awful but it was lacking. Maybe cheese would've made it better . Angel noodles with tomato's and basil. Fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken 9/10 it was very creamy and saucy which I loved BUT adding chicken was $8 and it's less than half a chicken breast. I'd order this again but skip the chicken, not worth $8 for four tiny pieces. Over all I'd try their pizza next time and I like the decor. But isn't something I'll rave about to others.

Definitely be ready to wait, this place is popular! And it's for a good reason- the food is delicious. The portion sizes are very generous. I recommend eating family style so you can try a little bit of everything. This restaurant is more homey than trendy, with lots of history on the walls. And maybe a little historic dust. The service was a little rough. Staff are friendly, but definitely don't have time to chat. It felt like they wanted to turn over tables quickly. To be honest, having the server scrape our plates into to go boxes was also kinda gross. Parking is terrible! Be prepared to street park and walk.

Parking is tricky here. Mostly street parking but it's a battle. It can also get packed here so be ready to be waiting for a table. Also it's cash only, they do have an ATM. The inside decor is really neat with signed portraits of famous folks. The noise level is actually not bad considering how crowded it can get. Our server was really friendly and the food arrived at a good rate. The portions can be quite huge. There's a baked pasta dish that surely could be split. The bread amd butter is pretty good! It had a nice crisp exterior and warm fluffy interior. I'd eat more if I could! The zucchini sticks were okay but I normally don't order them in general. The mozzarella sticks were really good! A nice flavorful crispy exterior and warm gooey cheese inside that stretches. The linguine con pesto was okay but the pesto was quite strong. The spaghetti carbonara was real good. It has a subtle flavor and the meat compliments it. Overall, it's worth a visit.

I've been a diner at Casa Bianca for the past 45+ years. I remember going as a child and their white sauce spaghetti is unforgettable. I also ordered their meat sauce spaghetti and ravioli with meatballs. All so delicious and consistent in quality as well as quantity. They also give you their humongous rolls! Only drawback is that they take cash.

PROs: - THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the bruschetta with garlic bread and pesto pasta - All of the pizza options are delicious - Staff is super friendly - Open late CONs: - No designated parking lot. Street parking can be difficult. You may have to park a few blocks away to find a spot - Cash only (but there is an atm in the restaurant) - Not opened for lunch - Very busy, so you can expect a wait for your table

We arrived around 4 PM and were seated right away--no wait. We were served fresh bread with a thin crust and soft, fluffy interior with butter packets on the side. We ordered: Deluxe pizza medium - delightfully thin-crust, light on the sauce but packed with flavorful toppings like mushrooms, sausage, and green bell peppers. Antipasto salad half of a small for 2 (but could easily feed 3-4 people) - hearty and satisfying mix of lettuce, olives, tomatoes, peperoncini, salami, mozzarella, provolone, mortadella, and a scoop of ricotta A few tips like others have mentioned: The restaurant is cash only, but there's an ATM inside. The cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and affordable prices all made for a wonderful dining experience.

Can the pizza be vegan if we skipped the cheese?

Our standard pizza crust does have a little milk. So even with no cheese it would not be totally vegan. But we do have a gluten free crust which only comes in the small size. You could order that with no cheese and add vegetables for a vegan pizza.

What are their vegan options, aside from salad without dressing?

Other than Pasta with Marinara, and breadsticks I am hard pressed to recall anything vegan on the menu. If you order a salad, I suggest you get the anti pasta, without the cheese and meats. That may sound futile, but the olives and other veggies are…

For starters, the entire staff from host to servers were so friendly and attentive, it was a very welcoming and warm environment. Now to the main event, the pizza! I ordered the classic pepperoni and the garlic pesto pizza and both were so dang good. The crust is crispy, delicious, and flavorful. I savoured every bite, especially the garlic pizza - that was a stand out for me! I also ordered a slice of the princess cake and it was divine. Fluffy, moist, and light. I will definitely weather the brutal reservations again, very impressed with everything here!

The pizza had a nice crispy crust with quality ingredients, especially the pepperoni slices and fresh basil, but overall the flavors didn't stand out as much as I expected. The pesto slice was probably my favorite of the bunch, while the pepperoni was solid but nothing particularly memorable. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff got our order out quickly. The casual, laid-back atmosphere made it a nice spot to grab a slice, though seating is pretty limited. We also tried the cake for dessert, which was light and enjoyable, but overall the meal left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't bad by any means, just not a place I'd go out of my way for.
