My family has been eating at Casa Bianca for over 45 years. It is one of our favorites. Food is always very well prepared and the tomato sauce is excellent - not too sweet. I have ordered the eggplant parmesan probably 200+ times and will continue to enjoy it. The half of a small antipasto salad is still enough for 3 people. Parking is a problem, but customers (including myself) find the food and service well worth walking a block or two. read more

The Arancini is a single good size ball and so delicious as a starter. Servers are right on top of things. It was a Saturday night, the weather was perfect to sitting outside for the 45 minute wait. As I was with a friend and every other wait-lister was friendly, the conversation made the time just fly by. It was well worth the wait. Even though they were busy, we were never rushed. No outsider dining. The interior was the very definition of the classic Italian Pizza joint. While we were sitting there for our meal, the dining room lights went out for about 20 minutes. The kitchen and right side of the room lights were on which was perfect lighting! Even that was quaint. Parking if the big drawback. One a major street, there is almost nothing ope and behind is a housing neighborhood and all those streets for blocks are filled. Still, don't give up. I'm going to start off by saying I'm really not one to leave bad reviews because the hospitality and customer service I've received in the past at other restaurants didn't cause me to. With that being said, the pizza we ordered was good. We were a party of 6, larger than your average I would probably assume. It goes downhill when we asked their cashier why they added gratuity to the bill without letting us know. I understand this may be normal practice for larger parties, but we were just unaware of that. They proceeded to explain that it's on the menu, when it in fact was not. I even asked the cashier and he confirmed it was not. I'm sure it's probably on the last page of the menu at the very bottom. This should be verbally expressed to the customer when they have a party of 5+. Staff and our waitress could have handled the situation in a more professional manner without laughing about it after it happened. Like I said, pizza was good customer service was extremely unprofessional. That is why we don't recommend this restaurant due to lack of transparency to the customer and their poor customer service when handling situations like this. read more

This might be the most overrated place I've seen on Yelp in a long time. We are visiting from out of town and were excited to try something iconic along these lines. And we love pizza and vintage places. Sadly, the whole experience was disappointing from start to finish. First of all, the place is a bit grubby. The hostess seemed harried and like she didn't want to be there. When she finally called our name, she stuck us in what appeared to be a banquet room which was noisy and brightly lit - it had no windows so I get they want to do that during the day, but at night, they should dim the lights. I had a clear view of some gross part of the kitchen or storage area, and it was freezing because they were blasting air conditioning on our table. Was it something I said? The server was nice. Between three of us, we got a bottle of wine, a pizza and two salads as well as a coffee and an ice cream and we got out of there for under 120 bucks which was more than reasonable. It's possible something didn't make it on the bill. I didn't look. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't very good. - the crust tasted like cardboard to me. They also cut it in some creative way which means you have to fight over who gets the parts with the crust which is totally unnecessary. The salads were OK, although the server could not be bothered to remove it from the table after we ate it, so our table was just full of stuff when the pizza came. When the other diners in the banquet room left, their napkins and detritus stayed on the table for quite some time for us to look at while we enjoyed our meal. Also not great. I think I'd rather eat at Round Table. Sigh. These people have a cool spot, would be great if they could level it up a bit. We might have enjoyed it more if not for the awful table. read more

My cousin suggested this place since they are regular customers and told us how popular it is. They don't take reservations for under six people, so you have to come in person and put your name on the waitlist. Parking is also very hard to find nearby, which makes sense because of how popular this place is. We waited over 45 minutes to get seated, but honestly, it was worth the wait. This place is very cozy with an old style Italian atmosphere and lots of Italian décor everywhere. It is not a modern or fancy place, and it can get very crowded, but if you like authentic Italian food and a family style atmosphere, you will enjoy this place. We really enjoyed the food and hospitality. The house wine was yummy and brought back lots of good old memories. They served house bread and butter to start. We ordered some foods but started with the antipasto salad, and our waitress suggested getting the small one because it was huge, and she was absolutely right! We also shared a medium Bianco Gluten Pizza, which was very tasty with a thin and light crust. I could barely finish three slices! The staff was very friendly and kept checking on the guests. My only suggestion would be to make the inside a little cooler, especially on hot days, and maybe have a little more space between the tables since the seating area feels tight. Sauce was tangy and well seasoned garlic herbs etc. cheese was chewy and the pepperoni and onion were crispy and caramelized. Unfortunately the mushrooms were canned womp womp. Had a delicious dinner here while visiting my cousin in Eagle Rock. It's a classic cozy Italian spot with delicious food and cute decor. The service was amazing and fast, even on a busy Saturday night. I tried the Spinach & Cheese Ravioli and it was out of this world!!! I'm personally not a huge fan of fettuccini alfredo but this one was the perfect balance of creamy and cheesy. They had a passion tea that I loved and overall I'd come back in a heartbeat. This place stays busy soo expect to wait. I saw that there was one table free and clean but they had us wait about 10-15 mins and sat us at that same table. I'm not sure if maybe someone was on break so they didn't want to overload or what the reason was exactly. Service - 8/10 our server was nice and professional but they run it a little too tight that you don't get to really know your waiter and it takes a while to get the bill. We asked for a bill and to go box but our waitress brought food to five tables before bringing that to us. Not her fault they were busy. Maybe the owner or girl at the front desk can jump in and help instead of chatting on the front desk together. Bruschetta pasta - 5/10 it wasn't awful but it was lacking. Maybe cheese would've made it better . Angel noodles with tomato's and basil. Fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken 9/10 it was very creamy and saucy which I loved BUT adding chicken was $8 and it's less than half a chicken breast. The last time I was here it wasn't a good visit. This time it was excellent! We got the meatball sandwich, seafood pasta, side of Italian sausage and to go...side of meatballs and pesto pasta. First the service was great! I listened and watched her at other tables; she knows her stuff. All of the food we received this time was so good! Our service was excellent Forgot to get her Name but she was amazing and took our drink and appetizer order right away .We got antipasto salad and Mozzarella sticks with fresh hot bread with butter . The salad is so fresh and soooo good . The mozzarella sticks were great and had great cheese pull (see video). Bread is always fresh and delicious. Absolute hit or miss with this location. Their mozzarella sticks were really good, but some of their pasta dishes were so bland. And according to my friend, one of the dishes she tried was both salty and somehow flavorless. Based on my own experience, I'd have to agree--my dish just tasted like nothing. That said, I've been here other times, and their pizza is actually really good. But like I said, it's a total hit or miss. The inside has a cozy, old-school feel, and if you come when it's busy, expect to wait--which, in a way, is a good sign. But at the same time, I don't get how some of their dishes can be so off. Maybe I just need to figure it out. They have a huge menu, so I guess I'll keep going back if I feel like playing Russian roulette with their dishes to see what's actually good. I've been coming to Casa Bianca for nearly ten years. What originally kept me coming back was the food and ambiance. Over the years, I've brought family and friends countless times. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I will not be returning. Service has always been inconsistent. Depending on the server, it has ranged from excellent to poor. Our waitress today improved over the course of the evening, but our initial interactions with her were not great. More concerning, however, is the attitude of the staff at the front counter. Nearly every interaction I've had with them over the years has felt rude, dismissive, or condescending. There have also been occasions when I questioned whether my party and I were treated differently because we are people of color. Looking through past reviews, it's clear that other customers have expressed similar concerns regarding the staff's behavior. Today, I visited with a party of six and learned that the restaurant automatically adds a 20% gratuity for parties of five or more. The issue is not the policy itself; many restaurants have similar practices. The issue is how poorly the policy is communicated. When someone in our party asked about the charge, the front staff immediately became defensive rather than simply explaining the policy. We were told that it was clearly stated on the menu, yet the employee could not actually locate or point out where it appeared. If a staff member cannot find the policy on the menu, how can customers reasonably be expected to know about it? A simple verbal reminder when seating parties of five or more would eliminate confusion. Transparency goes a long way. Additionally, many tipping etiquette experts and industry standards recommend calculating gratuity based on the pre-tax subtotal, making clear communication even more important. What ultimately sealed my decision not to return was what happened afterward. The young hostess, the tall man working the front, and our waitress openly discussed the situation near the entrance while customers were coming and going. They were making facial expressions, laughing, and making snide remarks. It was unprofessional and disrespectful. Situations like this can be handled with professionalism and care. Instead, the staff chose defensiveness and mockery. For a business that relies on customer loyalty, that is disappointing. I do want to recognize the servers who consistently provided exceptional service over the years. Maria was always warm, friendly, and engaging. She made customers feel welcome and valued. Genevieve (I believe is her name-she usually has her hair in a bun, she's brunette) was another favorite--always kind, attentive, and professional. I'd also like to recognize the server who often wears her hair in a slicked-back bun or ponytail. She, too, consistently provided excellent service. The waitress who has consistently provided the poorest service in my experience was our server today. I do not know her name, but she is tall, blonde, and typically wears her hair in a ponytail or braid. Her interactions often come across as curt and impersonal, making the service feel purely transactional rather than welcoming. On multiple occasions, including previous visits, I have found her communication to be dismissive and unnecessarily rude. The food may still be good, but good food can only make up for so much. After years of experiencing inconsistent service and repeated disrespect from the front staff, returning is no longer worth it. read more

I have eaten high and moderate caliber pizza for decades. Ordered a standard pie (meaning I expected red sauce). It came out burnt and with red sauce spread so thin we thought it had none. Service was so crappy that they had to plop a big bowl of red sauce NEXT to our pizza. So like, we had to DIP our pizza in it. WTF? They tried to blame the dough, claiming it "absorbed" the red sauce. More like it was so busy that quality control went out the door with our time and money. Given the usual crowding, there is no incentive toward service. Crowded does not mean good. 1 star as I got part of my money back from the owner. read more
