Came here for the first time, and i have to say i will definitely be back! From the outside, it's a small easy to miss place, but once you walk in you're met with immense warmth and comfort. Lulu was helping us out that day and she was the sweetest ever! She definitely made our experience much more enjoyable. She introduced herself to us, answered our questions and even chatted with us. As for food, i got the pollo en mole, and it was delicious! It has such a very authentic taste. It almost makes you feel as if you're eating at a family's home. Also, before your food comes, they start you off with chips and salsa, and some beans. which are so delicious! Came in on a Sunday morning for brunch. Place is clean, feels homey. We were greeted by lulu who was our waitress as well. We were thinking of getting birria tacos but they were out as birria is a big seller for them. We ended up getting chicken mole and an asada torta. While we waited they brought out some chips with salsa and a bean dip which had cheese and chorizo, very tasty. Food came out in a timely manner and was nicely served. They don't skimp out on the meats. Also get a cucumber and lime water, very refreshing. Would 10/10 recommend. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem. My husband and I were in the Irwindale area meeting with one of our business vendors. A Yelp search brought us to Casa Buen Sazon. It is a small, very unassuming building sharing a parking lot with a convenience store right across from the Siracha factory. It's a small quaint restaurant and extremely clean. Food: You are given complimentary chips along with salsa plus a dip of beans/cheese/chorizo. The chips were nice and hot and loved their salsa and beans. I ordered the chicken mole and my husband and son ordered carne asada tortas. Everything was well made and well seasoned. The mole had a little kick which I loved. My husband and son loved their tortas and the carne asada was well seasoned. I loved that their tortas were served with steak fries! We've never seen tortas served with those a they helped to complete that meal. Service is on point! Sorry I forgot his name but he went above and beyond. They even packed our leftovers for us. Besides the authentic delicious food, the service was on another level. Now we have a go to place when we are out in the area again for business. As small business owners ourselves....these are the types of businesses we should support. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back and try another dish. read more

I have to say, we dropped by after searching on yelp for a place to eat and it did not disappoint. My husband got the birria plate and it was so flavorful and meaty, not fatty. I got the chilaquiles and omg that steak was on point. It was so good and not a cheap cut of meat. The cafe de olla was good and I liked that it wasnt super sweet like some others I have tried, but that's personal preference. Definitely coming back to try other plates. Don't judge a book by its cover...this hidden gem had a positive vibe, great service and delicious breakfast . On top of all of that the price was great! We started off with chips and salsa which was very tasty and a complementarycup of beans with chorizo. We had the Huevos Rancheros that was topped with a generous amount of sliced avocado. We got carnitas to go and we were pleasantly surprised. We loved the customer service as they were friendly and professional. The carnitas were juicy and their red salsa is amazing. I wish I had tried their green salsa as well. We had some left over and reheated them the following day. I was expecting them to be dry by then but to our surprise, they reheated really well as they retained their moisture. I feel like we hit the jackpot by finding this place because we were already tired of the unprofessionallity of another carnitas place in town. Great little hole in the wall with authentic mexican food. We have been there a few times now and each plate we tried was delicious.

I work down the street and could honestly eat here multiple times a week. I always get the three taco plate. The Carnitas are my favorite, the best I've had in a long time and the asada is great as well. Always tastes fresh. Get the green salsa :) The friendly service is an added plus. read more

This is the hole in the wall you didn't know you needed. We're visiting from San Diego and were craving cafe de la olla and found this place on yelp. Their cafe de la olla is perfection in a cup. For starters we had queso fundido which was delicious. For the main course we had birria which was an absolute delicacy. The flavor of the consomé, the tenderness of the meat, OMG!!
