It's surprisingly busy and after waiting up to 30 minutes for a table, it's that much more disappointing to get mediocre food, especially since the cost doesn't compensate for it. I ordered the Chimichanga, which wasn't fried, and came with just unseasoned ground beef inside. It was smothered in yellow cheese sauce, which tasted like a bunch of yellow American cheese. So it was basically a cheeseburger in burrito form. My wife's enchiladas weren't much to write home about either. Fortunately, my son enjoyed his cheeseburger. If you're willing to drive an extra 10 minutes in any direction of this restaurant, I'm sure you'll find something better. read more

I've been hearing about this place ever since I first moved to Pflugerville, but would always visit the Rio Grande for Tex Mex instead. Decided to finally give it a try now that the Rio Grande is gone. It was a pretty decent experience. Our waitress was all over the place and came off a little bit rude, but nothing worth complaining about. The flautas were probably the best thing we ate. The queso flameado was very greasy and it was served only with 4 tortillas which was not nearly enough. The regular Chile con queso was bland and would not order it again. It was disappointing that their chips are not made there since they do make their own tortillas. Their margaritas were forgettable. Might go back based on the convenient location and that they're usually not too busy, but there's so many better Tex Mex places. read more

Ordered take out. The cocktail Cameron was too sweet for me, I didn't like the huge whole shrimp in it as I like to have a little bite of everything on the chips. Menudo barely has any hominy and had completely spilled over in the bag leaving a huge mess for us when we got home. They forgot to give us chips with our guacamole and when we drove back to store they told us we had to pay for the chips. What? It was 12oz of guac. The manager then came out and told my boyfriend that he would get chips. But no other type of customer service. Just oh well tough for you attitude. On Wednesday October 29th I was told I had to leave Casa Garcia's in Pflugerville because I didn't have a card showing my service dog was certified. According to federal disability law when I go into a restaurant, or anywhere else, with my service dog, they are allowed to ask me if she is a service dog and what task she performs. They may not ask me anything else. I spoke with the manager who said it was company policy that a service dog must have a card showing they are "certified" he said there was nothing he could do, it was company policy. When I asked to see the policy he gave me a business card with the information for the corporate office. I called them and the woman who answered told me the manager was right, it was against company policy to let a service dog in their restaurants without the card. When I asked to speak with someone about it I was told there was no one, that I needed to send an email. I did so including a link to the ADA website where the rules and regulations regarding service dogs are clearly stated. I have received no response. I am writing this review in hopes that people will not visit any of the Casa Garcia's locations until they no longer discriminate against the disabled. I will leave this one star review up until they are complying with all Federal laws read more

i got their homemade tamales however they were tasteless and has little to no meat in them.. The manager was rude and not helpful at all.. When I asked the coworker she said she doesn't think they are homemade and come in frozen.. I paid for a large chips and queso and requested salsa for the chips and queso. I've ordered this prior and had no issues. However when the food was checked we didn't receive any. Went back and requested the salsa and was charged for something that comes with chips and large queso. If you're going to over charge someone salsa that you give out for free to your guest that eat in then what is the issue. We paid for a large queso. Make this make sense. It is now excellent. The kitchen at Casa Gracia's in Pflugerville is, in my opinion, pretty good. Some Yelpers have complained about Pflugerville's service. I have only been served by nice people and have experienced only minor lapses. I personally am never unhappy when I go to any Casa Garcia's. If you are a worrier, you can always check the most recent Yelp reviews. * * * One fact supporting the argument that Casa Garcia's is basically okay is that they have a regular stable of loyal customers. The dining room is generally crowded. In normal times, this is a good sign. In COVID times, it means - Buster, you are eating outside. The strip mall in which Casa Garcia's is located has two nice little benches where you can eat overlooking the parking lot, take in the scenery and think tranquil thoughts. (In the morning your thoughts might be about all the people taking their pets to the vet two doors down.) Casa Garcia's enchiladas are meant to be eaten on a plate at a table. Well, the Suiza sauce at Casa Garcia's is pretty damn fine. So my cleaning mission was giving me a first rate meal. My clothes are in bad shape ... but dry cleaning is a thing. However, if you pass the bench in front of the Lucas event space And things smell suspiciously like cheese sauce ... Well there is a story behind that. Just for the record, Casa Garcia's taste in refried beans runs towards thin and watery. The Merciful Lord kept the refried beans from leaking as well - or I could have had a two color cleaning project. The Tortillas are fine. They were actually kind of a relief because I could eat those without worrying about laundry issues. * * * Bottom Line: The kitchen at Casa Garcia's is just fine. Eat in the dining room if you are so inclined - Or you can take things home and put them on a plate. Last night we went to Casa Garcia for dinner. Previously all I've had here was breakfast, dinner was a different experience. Waiter was attentive which was good. I ordered the Steak a la Mexicana. I was asked how I wanted my steak, which I responded with medium. Steak was thin, tough, well done and had a lot of gristle. I'm not sure what cut of meat it was but it was the worst steak I've ever had. The only thing good about my meal was the homemade fresh tortillas and the hot salsa. What a disappointment! I called in an order for pick up for dinner. I went over the order, had the host read back the order and I went over the order again to be sure, because there were a couple substitutions. I get there and the host again goes over my order! I use to oder from here when I was pregnant back in 2020/2021 and the food was absolutely delicious!! I came back since then for then for the first time since having my baby, and they had a sign saying short staffed. Stopped in for a late lunch today at Casa Garcia's in P'ville. I absolutely used to love this place and ate there every Friday. The ambiance was cozy, comfortable and homey. Enticing aromas assailed your nostrils the moment you walked in the door. The food was the best Tex-Mex in town. They have now expanded to twice the size and sadly the inviting ambiance has totally disappeared and been replaced with an austere, sterile nothingness typical of run-of-the-mill restaurants. The ice tea glass was filled to the brim with ice, leaving very little space for the tea which was as tasteless as colored water. The anticipation of the savory flavors of the Stuffed Avocado plate was dashed and turned out to be tasteless as well. Nothing could bring it to life, not salt, not hot sauce, not even salsa. so I went into Casa Garcia this morning. I go in with my Dutch Bros coffee, which they have allowed me to bring in before but today they didn't allow do to policy well after that I had ordered two breakfast tacos when I bit into my breakfast tacos I have felt something weird in my mouth. First time here! The queso with the picadillo was amazing! We had a slight table war over the last little bit. I ordered the beef fajitas and was disappointed in the flavor or I should say lack of flavor. Once I topped them with the queso they were great! Service and food here has always been very good to us...breakfast after church is fantastic.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month for to-go. The food is always delicious, fresh, and great prices for what you get. In my opinion it's nothing fancy, but delicious. The only thing I will say is to ALWAYS check your order before you leave. Only once was my order complete when I picked it up, every other time I've either had to drive back up there, or go back inside after checking it in the car.
