Friendly staff Delicious food Good service I had a craving for Spanish Rice and it's offered at Casa Mexicana. This was all I crave for, and I just had to ask for shredded on it. It is so delicious, and I like it. One thing I like, those chips are included and it pairs well with the bowl of rice and a Coca-Cola. I really like the crunchy texture of tortilla chips, plus it can be eaten as a side item or snack item. In terms of ambiance: This place is well lit, perfect for dine in. Great go to spot in Noe Valley. Update as of 4/15/2025: I had a sudden craving for a burrito. Next thing I knew, I was here at Casa Mexicana II. My order: - chicken, cheese, rice, and refried beans on a flour tortilla - side of a tortilla chips and a can of Coca-Cola Somehow, I finish the entire meal. It was good, real good. Overall: - good food, really delicious - good service - friendly staff I do have to agree with Yelp Reviewer Adam M., this place is indeed an excellent spot for a burrito here in Noe Valley. I am craving for another burrito from here as I write this update. The food is indeed flavorful and delicious.

Good spot in Noe Valley for tacos. I've been going here for years and really enjoyed the tacos. I get mine piked high with salsa, lettuce, cilantro snd onions so it seems like eating a tostada - just the way I like it. The people are lovely and friendly and the price is right. The flan is good for dessert too. I like the spicy chicken tinga, grilled chicken or the chicken on mild sauce -- all good. Free chips and salsa and good drinks.

Super delicious! I had a great watermelon agua fresca, shrimp taco and carne asada taco. Fresh and quality ingredients and excellent service. I went with a large group of friends and we moved through the line quickly. Comes with chips and if you ask for some, salsa. You also have to ask for napkins and any needed (plastic) cutlery...I had to go back for that and wish it was just out to grab. Maybe it's more sanitary this way? But who isn't going to need at least one napkin?! Just give me the napkin please!

While the classic SF Mexican spots are mostly all located in the mission, this Noe Valley hole in the wall did not disappoint. Casa is a more traditional Mexican restaurant than other spots I've been to in the city. Burritos and tacos are very good and for a very affordable price! The salsas are my favorite part. Service is very kind and quick!

Chicken Mole Burrito w/ no rice, no beans, add guacamole, chips, salsa | $11.90

If you're used to Mexican food in The Mission or Excelsior, Casa Mexicana II may not hit for you. It didn't hit for me. My go-to taqueria is Mexico Tipico (Excelsior) but I didn't have enough time to deal with the parking situation since I was working so I gave Casa Mexicana II a shot (their original location Castro is permanently closed). Casa Mexicana II is open for takeout, delivery, and indoor dining. No outdoor dining. I ordered the Chicken Mole Burrito w/ no rice and no beans, and added guacamole. With chips and salsa, it was $11.90 (pre-tip): https://bit.ly/2WrgsQR. The burrito was overly wet, bland, and not enjoyable. Maybe it was an off day but it was devoid of the rich spices I associate with a good mole. I ended up just using the chips to scoop out the filling to eat with salsa. Three stars is for the very efficient service and the kind cashier. With the current labor shortages, there's not many places where you can get in/out in 5 minutes (!!!) during the lunch rush. If you're craving Mexican food, aren't picky, and can't get to The Mission or Excelsior, Casa Mexicana II may be a decent option for you.

I ordered the carnitas burrito and my husband ordered the carne asada one. We also asked the guys for a salsa picante and their house made one delivered! The ingredients were tasty, well seasoned and fresh. Service is quick, food and ambiance are no frills and cash only. I think about this burrito daily and am willing to travel across the country to get it again. Not to mention, but this is a Mission style burrito in the Mission! This is the only way to do it and I now totally understand the hype.

A few people were already in there eating, and we know this place is good, as a few others in our group and I have been here multiple times. The Taqueria is typical of any other, with bench-style chairs for folks to sit on, a water station, and workers cooking it up in the kitchen. I wasn't too hungry, so I grabbed a Super Lengua Taco, while my friends grabbed burritos, we ended up grabbing 3 complimentary chips and guac/salsa with our order and the food came out pretty quickly. When I saw my Taco I forgot how much they stuffed it and wow, two of these would've filled me up just like a taco; there was so much Lengua that it kept falling off after every bite. The flavors all came together and I scruffed down the whole thing after about 6+ bites! Definitely a place to come to if you're looking for a full meal, or something to snack on!

It didn't wow my socks off, but it was good and better, marginally better, not insanely better. I got a carnitas burrito with guacamole. They did not ask me what type of beans I want. I think they just gave me the default, which was fine. It worked. It tasted like a Mission burrito. I don't know how else to describe the taste. It was rich, salty in a good way, and tasted like a burrito should taste The line was around 30 minutes long for me on a Wednesday night, around 6:00 p.m. Everyone in line was very nice and was curious about the wait.
